If you choose the right projects, then everything should be fine with your investments, but even the right choice will not protect you 100% and you need to be always ready to sell your coins on time

I honestly don’t trust any project that hasn’t proved itself. Especially ICOs are absolutely unreliable in this existing process. I don’t believe that a solution can be found before the DAICOs carry out.

I think there must be strict rules for making coins or tokens, too much and too free to make coins or tokens cause now almost 2,000 coins and tokens, of course this is not a good thing because it makes competition very tight and projects that look good finally die .

I agree that there must be strict rules for making tokens or coins. In addition to tokens or coins, of course, making rules also on exchanges, there are currently hundreds of exchanges that have the potential to become a scam.

Currently on the coinmarketcap site only about 1590 projects compared to at times more than 1700 projects. They have left many projects without developers or scam projects. I personally invested in some of these projects and lost a lot of money like bitconect and centra. Do you trust the projects you are investing in and will keep them for a long time until they succeed or are they just looking for profit in the short term?
Yeah mostly this projects are dead, because of their first and last objective was to gather money and get out of that, even if the project isn't scam they don't have any reasons to develop something really fast

in 2017 there were a lot of cool and interesting projects, but their number is small in comparison with how many projects came out. More than 90 percent of the projects are garbage and scam

Any projects can burst, you do not want to lose money. Before investing, whatever it is, you need to thoroughly think and understand where you put them, for what purpose. And clearly aware of all possible risks.

At times when a company is unable to raise sufficient funds, it chooses to withdraw from the bounty.
Also, like you mentioned, a lot of projects turn out to be scams, hence, those projects get de listed.
As of today's data, there are around 2200 projects already live.
When I joined this community, there were hardly 500 projects going on during that time.
We really have come a long way.

I think we should remove 90% of the cryptocurrency now. The market would be really better if we did that, we see too many unqualified coins. They are just fast food.
About 90% of altcoin will die in 2018 as you say. Too many altcoin values have not been created in the last 2 years. It makes the market more difficult to choose and now the market is purging them.

In investing in several projects and I don't get scammed, that's how you research to avoid scammed but bitconnect is a clear scam from the start since Google search is simple, but you also have to be vigilant and be careful.

Lol, there're thousand projects in this market, some are just the clone of the others, they have no advantages, the weak will die and the strong will keep long living

The Crypto market is unlike the previous years that you can invest in any project and finally benefit from it. but for the time being most of the projects failed, some of them actually died. The best reason why projects can die is their developers cheat investors, all their social media is lost as soon as the ICO ends.

If you see from year to year that some cryptocurrency is not growing or growing but very slowly, it can be considered dead.

Of course, someone managed to cash in on the hype with Bitcoin, coming up with other projects that are not based on long-term benefits.

You must convince yourself that you will benefit greatly in the future. For this reason, don't trust 100 percent of a crypto project, because we don't know the future. All we have to do is vary our crypto investment in at least 20 crypto and must be the top 100 at coinmarketcap.com

Yes  I agree with you that there are lots of project that were scam and also they didn't proceed in finishing it . I think it's because of the market situation as well. Some of those ICO that didn't,t finish their project are those who had conflicts between developers, others didn't succeed. it is really hard nowadays to trust and invest in ICO project that is why some of ICO project didn't reach their goal. Maybe we need to really choose a project which has already a product because for sure it will survive.

It is because many project are scam; I don't know why people fall for graphics whitepaper and project without not real live applicantion; how won't such a project die; just a pump and dump
It's not just the scams. The ICO market is growing strongly, people have no restrictions and they are trying to just throw out at least some idea for profit. It is very rare to find good projects with finished products.

if I personally I will save the coins that I get and I wait for up to 2 years if the project does not work, I will sell coins at the market price
