To be honest with the amount of people with questions and many people after him I doubt he is safe anywhere until he can give solid proof he had nothing to do with the hacking and loss of coins. No doubt that he is somewhere in the world waiting for all this to settle down and for him to spend everyone else's coins.

I may have the chronology wrong, but I believe that photo was snapped before the big implosion. Rather, I think it was when withdrawals were merely 'problematic'. Granted, the bitcoins may have already been gone, but the world at large did not yet know this.

its a good wordEven taking legal action against mtgox I highly doubt much is going to happen. If the company finally going to bail and go bankrupt as the legal court release said that they are going to file for bankruptcy then how is anyone to actually file a claim against a company that has zero assets left to distribute across all its customers. Plus the Chinese police claiming it was an inside job maybe something will come to light and the coins are magically found again and a recovery process starts to happen. Only time will tell with gox

A scammer/thief believes that because he was smart enough or skilled enough,
he is thereby entitled to the money. Concerns for others, "fairness", or "ethics"
are a distant second, if considered at all.
