If Mark Zuckerberg make a blockchain, I’m very sure that it would be a massive hit and it will be the gateway of cryptocurrency to MORE people all over the world, specially those who don’t really know what cryptocurrency is and those possible investors who don’t really know it. If that happen I’ll make sure I’ll join their ICO because for sure their token price will go really high. Im sure so many investors will invest on this too.

It is very good that people like Mark Zuckerberg thinks blockchain technology is relevant in terms of decentralizing the way people provide and give services online. It is time people in the tech world educate the general public on how blockchain is going to transform the world we find ourselves in it. A lot of people are naive about the purpose and the benefits blockchain technology presents to the world. As a result of their naive nature, they don't really understand blockchain and cryptocurrency..

Welcome to the journey. Cool

I'm confident that you will learn the "truth about blockchains", the further you go on your journey. It might take you longer than others, but you will learn for yourself that the term "blockchain technology" is merely a buzzword used for marketing shitcoins.

Quite old news, but yea. Not because somebody is sort of positive on blockchain technology, it doesn't automatically mean they're positive on bitcoin. Knowing Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook, chances are, they'd want total control over everything; so basically chances are that they're going to create their own coin/token instead. I think they have pretty much zero incentive to actually use bitcoin on their platform as it wouldn't garner them any profit as far as I know.

IIRC he announced this late 2017 during the bull run and was stated that he's still studying crypto and blockchain. And on latter of 2018, it's on the news that they have been hiring blockchain professionals which is an obvious act to understand that they will join and adopt the tech soon.

Creating a 'facebook coin' is likely but it's still a rumor, they have a large number of users so it will applicable to them. AFAIK, they have created sort of coins before during those restaurant city and farmville days.

It is so happy to heard this kind of a news.sure he will study those things and do something for the cryptocurrency. If that so cryptocrrencies will market as never before it will be popular in a minute

It only seems obvious that Facebook will develop its own blockchain based digital currency/ies to complement their Whatsapp and Facebook apps. I think Mark Zuckerberg and co will make this update simply to make it easier to secure data.

Zuckerberg has for longed expressed his desire to have a coin for his ecosystem, I can't tell what is delaying that, is possible his team are still;; studying the blockchain technology as he had earlier proposed. I believe his token if been traded in the coinmarket, will help bring some liquidity and pull in other rich companies, not these useless scamming ICOs without an MVP. If he is to conduct an ICO, the token issuance should be very large in several billions and starting with an almost useless price and allow for organic growth.

are you so desperate for posting anything that you are now digging the news from over a year ago and posting them on your website?
i am just wondering why your account has not been banned yet for spamming the forum with your one liner posts continued by the link to your own website as an advertisement to generate traffic!

I don't think I can trust anything that guy has to say, he has zero good intentions besides making more money. centralized king
As long that is influencer who said about crypto, even only blockchain technology. It can really affect for market. If we traders, i think we must take advantage from this. But it will be different response from crypto enthusiast.

It seems like the FB founder has nothing but positive things to say about blockchain technology.

There are rumours going around that he will release a cryptocurrency for use on WhatsApp, but given the privacy and censorship concerns over FB, I can't see many people going for it.

I see no point in creating a Crypt for WhatsApp. About Blockchain, the trend is a wider use than just Cryptos so many people will still come to speak well of technology.

This is an old news, there's also a report that Mark recently hire a group or build a new team to focus more on this technology and how it can help in their business model.

Quote
On Tuesday Facebook reorganized the duties of its product executives, in the process creating an unusual new division: David Marcus, formerly head of Facebook’s Messenger app, will now lead a team of fewer than a dozen people dedicated to blockchain technology, according to Recode. He’ll be joined by notable executives including Kevin Weil, former VP of product at Instagram, and James Everingham, VP of engineering at Instagram.

So I'm not surprised and I guess Blockchain technology has set the bar so high that everyone which is involves in the IT sector wanted to explore it. Maybe we can see big companies acquiring Blockchain related competitors in the future.

I also heard and read about those rumors that Facebook will create its own Crypto Currency, I think it is way back in late 2017's when I heard about it. This may be still a rumor but if the CEO of Facebook itself is studying about crypto and blockchain there might be a higher chance that they will create their own Crypto Currency or their own blockchain or they will use the blockchain technology to improve their platform.
