if the beta product is really good, then why not start a campaign of signatures and other types of activities such as articles from users and other assets on social networks. And the community will then decide what they need or not, huge budgets will not be needed if the project is really worthy and will solve the problems of users.

If the community development has been going well then don't stop and keep going, if you give up and stop now (when some people already believe in you) then you will have a hard time getting their trust again, maybe starting a bounty and airdrop will attract some investors small and may also be glimpsed by some companies

wait . So you haven't try marketing in the three platforms ? But why are you complaining so much .
The only way to know is to try and that three platforms are now leading and they can help you in promoting in your project . I'm not familiar with the other one which is community building but if thats what you think better for your project then just stick to it .
Great  Results doesnt come in a short period of time but you must have patience .

you can community build in few methods, if exchange development is completed, next stage is marketing, i think in this forum you can firstly start by video promotion, social media campaign, article, signature campaign.

new exchange building is very difficult beside needs strong team and big funds to promote.

You need to create a community and be trusted so that the public can judge if your exchange is worthy of being followed by many people. so I think the first thing is to build a community, and create new rules and interesting marketing strategies like giveaways or whatever makes people feel good.

It's not even about the funding but the experience, CZ became an expert or pro today because he had work for other exchanges in the past, you need to have experience first and also be wiling to hire experts in the security field to keep users fund safe, running an exchange isn't easy

Try your hardest to get yourselves some private investors to help you out with your start up expenses including marketing. You shouldn't have an issue with that if they can see a good product to invest into. The crypto exchange is a tough market and you shouldn't rely on free or cheap promotions.

Publish0x and other similar places... don't forget to be more active here on the forum!

I will agree with members who are talking about building a community, that starts with your product and all crypto places where you can share your work without a need for paying for space! Blogs, forums, apply for some crypto news articles (they always looking for writers)... if a product is good, trustworthy... there will be demand for it, sooner or later! Of course, every start can be hard, so I wish you to endure and make something! Good luck!

To compete in this crypto industry moreover for exchanges i'm sure you need investors to fund your development because the competition between exchanges is really high and only top exchange that the traders want to place their money in. So i think you should build a community and raise your name and then pitching for investors to growing together with your project

Start to build a community for your project while you have no enough funds for it.. It doesn't matter at least you have a bunch of supporter until you gain enough capital to advertise your project to those popular sites. Indeed there are some crypto site in the internet wherein you can still advertise your project,  as long as it's related its a good choice for visibility while you're waiting to have enough capital ,
Btw perhaps there's a service here in forum as well. Just use the search bar if you can find some..  Wink

Hello Bitcoin Folks!

I am working on a p2p trading platform that lets you trade altcoins, including small cap coins too. This is our goal at least.

We're facing some resistance with marketing in mainstream platforms like reddit, twitter, youtube.
It seems that none of these sites want anything to do with us unless we have a minimum 10K ad spend per quarter.
The problem is that we're still in prototype stage and don't even know if we're targeting the right audience.

What is the best option in this case? Should we just bite the bullet and try it out, or should we continue community building?
Community building has been going fine so far, but the results we are seeing are .... just not significant enough. It's growing linearly, its a grind but maybe this is the way it's supposed to be.

I would love to hear some thoughts, is someone has tried something similar.
Are we doomed or is there hope in this product?

Thanks!

Community development improvements are needed to support the smooth running of the project you are working on, this needs to be prepared carefully, to look for gaps in the improvement.

After that, it's just a matter of determining the right target audience in the promotion pattern, indeed there are many obstacles that we will experience in this situation, but don't give up before everything is successful, it's not a process of teaching us to keep fighting in the present and the future.

Twitter, Reddit and Yutube are very appropriate marketing media for now, you just need to brush up on some team strategies to reach the level of success you are looking for, this doesn't look easy, but if you have a good team, everything can be done easily and precisely. time.

Continue with community building and you just have to look for other means of advertisement. If you think that your audience is in YT then you hire someone that has a huge community, a content creator. I think in that case, it will give you somehow the exposure that you needed for your community build up.

Building a strong and loyal community is an essential task for any developers of a new project. You should always answer all questions of users, organise AMA, give bonuses to your community members for promoting your product and for different contests. You had better try platforms that are specialised on crypto instead of social media like YouTube and Twitter.

I'm not sure why this requires such high amount to be spent however, as a beginning exchange I think you shouldn’t target that. Instead build community, get engage here in bitcointalk by offering bounty. If you have something better than other exchanges to offer, I'm sure you will get some good leads from here.
And of course, hire a SEO specialist and target some low competitive keywords and rank for them instead with that money.
If you are interested to having a boost through bitcointalk, feel free to PM me here or PM in telegram @LT_Mouse

Congratulations hope this works out for you.

Am going to side with what these platforms are requesting for, running an exchange is different from other projects and as you know there is personal data that will need to be collected and the alike so they need to build some form of trust with its community.

What is the best option in this case? Should we just bite the bullet and try it out, or should we continue community building?
Community building is the best way to grow your presence in a more authentic way and without pumping numbers.

Many coin available in the market but it is very hard to exchange with new one. In the future many coin replace to bitcoin. i think in the future is digital currency.. we lose the paper money in the future..
Yes, maybe what you say is true.
I hope so.
Currently, there are several forwards who have issued digital money, digital money is needed to support payment security and financial stability, to mitigate private digital currency.
There are also developing countries that aim to achieve efficiency in domestic payment systems and financial inclusion and mitigate shadow banking.

The most difficult thing is getting started and maybe all social media don't feel confident about marketing in the p2p market..
the important thing is to keep trying and trying to convince a lot of people to be able to trade on p2p..

Developing a platform without valid exposure is certainly very difficult, especially in large forums. If you are serious about developing a platform, you can create a project community in this forum by make a bounty so that the platform you are developing is known and gets a quick response.
True, if the problem you have is marketing, Then Bounty and Airdrop programs can be the easiest solution. And to reassure users, I suggest you to ask a third party to audit your smart contract, like Certik or others. It would be better if you have several potential partnerships supporting your project.

A signature campaign is one of the most efficient and economical ways to promote crypto-related services, so just hire a reputed campaign manager and hire participants according to your budget. Bounties can be much cheaper but it doesn't get you the quality posters so the signatures won't be displayed in the main boards of bitcointalk.
