If you're CPU mining, is it better to mine with wallet or cpuminer? Is the only reason to use cpuminer is to mine with a pool?
with average SandyBridge CPU (with non-optimized miner or wallet) with difficulty 23 you find a block on average in 300 hours, whereas when using pool you get smaller variance in coin payouts—you only need to find a share

Someone put this together a couple of pages back...the developer didn't anticipate a gpu miner being released so quickly.
The block reward scheme on this coin is pure genius.
