Bounty Campaign Manager? --> https://goo.gl/YRVVt3
I never believed in bitcoin cash because of their seemingly for profit and monopolization/centralization model. However, greed got to me and I got tricked into buying BCH for the first time last week, all thanks to the /r/BTC subreddit. With bitcoin now at $8800 I got burned badly and I now hate bitcoin cash immensely. Its my fault.

But you should now that they talk shit about bitcoin over there relentlessly. I don't exactly why i am sharing this but i get angry whenever i think about /r/btc.
They are fooling people into think bitcoin core is something evil. Something must be done.
It's not a recommended place anymore, and you should know also that r/BTC is not the only place where BTC get these attacks also on this Forum ( disrespectful members), on facebook , on twitter and we cannot stop it, we should focus our energy to Bitcoin alone. Reddit is not the only place, we should counter attack them by posting articles about Bitcoin.

Aw, i feel sorry for you, there there buddy.
It is indeed, that some coins have their own group or cult, and some of the leader only using their men to fool other and make them self richer, as they build more community. It is hard to get out or realize you are in the wrong place when you already believe in them, until you found out the truth, as in you, you already found the truth, and you pay a lot for it.
I dont know how hard it is, but i suggest you to be calm, accept it, and move on, because you can and you will make more money than what you lose today.
The best thing to do is for now, just be neutral, learn a lot from multiple source, dont get in to some group too deep unless you really trust them, dont be greedy, and last, just spend what you can afford to lose based on your calculation. You are the decision maker of all your investment.
By the way, reddit is sucks, you can not take many valuable things in there except the meme and porn.

While I do agree with the general sentiment in this thread, the /r/btc subreddit does have one valid point: /r/bitcoin is censoring tons of threads and I'm not sure why that is so.

Thus, I suspect that's part of the reason lots of people migrated to BCH and that subreddit.

Subreddits are sometimes found which deriving pleasure from another individual's pain (not empathizing for the loss) or at least that's what I think it is. I have lurked around in /r/BTC and a good chunk of the discussions over there are just bashing Bitcoin without understands its real world applications. Why would you take advise on a discussion board with the larger group of posts being trolls/bashes. Its supposed to a Bitcoin subreddit and magical advise on how Bitcoin Cash is better than Bitcoin pops up and you're not sketchy at all? Sorry to be blunt but it is your own responsibility to do prior research before going with advise of some random internet trolls.

Like we care about everything people say in other places Cheesy If they are talking sh*t about Core, We're talking bad sh*t about them here Cheesy I'm making fun of BIG Wu (little actually) all the time, It's fair if they are doing the same, If people want to believe something, They should believe in the price, Nothing could be more effective than bitcoin price.

If you never believed in bitcoin cash, then why invest in it in the first place when you had the opportunity to hold the free tokens you get when the split happened ,when it comes to investment you must have your own process rather than trusting someone online about what to invest,to be frank i did not expect the price of bitcoin rising like this ,but the price keeps on changing and moving higher every time without any major correction ,i expect some corrections down the line and i hope everyone will get an opportunity to invest. Once again, the truth is, stick to what you think, and don't be swayed by others. Control your emotions and greed, and you will reap the rewards. Now, in exchange for bitcoin, I think that would be the right choice. Cool

Yeah, that place is toxic, if you who give a legit and honest response as to why you think BTC is better then you get shadowban, r/btc is just a massive BCH circlejerk.
It is also the place where 'Roger Ver and friends' usually hang out, just to give the impression that they care about the community, when in reality is just to check out how many people keep falling for the altcoincash joke. But let's be honest, the other one (r/bitcoin) is also a joke, all the memes from the Wall Observer thread here end up in that subreddit and at this point it's pretty much useless if you're looking for a legit BTC discussion.
Though, there are some interesting posts every now and then.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?
People who get stuck in an echo chamber later moving to another echo chamber and then denouncing the first seems extremely common.

It seems very likely that you're now going to move to r/bitcoin and get stuck in the exact opposite echo chamber to what r/btc does.  The overwhelming majority of posts there are misleading, poorly reasoned or otherwise irritating as well.

Unfortunately, Reddit is long-useless for Bitcoin discussion.

Where is my ring of blades...
this is somewhat normal on the internet or the social media to be specific. most people who sit behind their computers and gain the anonymity of being a "throwaway account", start thinking they are strong and can do anything they want.
in this case, most of what they do is to pump their altcoin called bitcoin cash to a higher price. and that is not even new and they are not the only ones doing it. most of the altcoins do the same. I remember earlier this year when the altcoins had their massive pump, coins like Dash were even spreading rumors about bitcoin. and by that time there were a spam attack on the network which some said the Dash team was behind part of it.
it is all bullshit anyways, at the end of the day bitcoin is bitcoin and no amount of talk is going to change that.

You must not be a very smart individual..You cant blame others for that but yourself. Who buys a coin because others say so? You are now doing exactly what you accuse others of doing. Anyone who believes you is an idiot. I will continue buying Bcash and any other coin despite of the ridiculous propaganda in this forum.

BCH is promoted by McAfee, a guy who made crap antivirus software, Roger ver, who's main focus is money, and Craig White, the fake Satoshi Nakamoto. The rest are filled with newcomers to Bitcoin that either joined earlier this year or not even two months ago.

Not to forget that Roger Who is a criminal who served a 10 month sentence for selling explosives over the internet without a licence.

Everybody´s  got to take a look at who these poster boys of BTrash really are

Just ignore and leave reddit friend, there is no point in using it since it is all trolls shitting up other subreddits and censoring each other like a bunch of squabbling kids. The fact that reddit has grown to the point where it is now is insane considering how shit the website and it's admins are.

/r/btc, /r/bitcoin, I don't care at this point because they're all shit. It's great that they contain themselves there so they don't spill onto sites like this one.

Wasn't /r/btc a spin-off of /r/bitcoin because a bunch of nerds got assmad about Segwit?

Yup, at least you are realizing to get out now. BCH is garbage. It was pumped by a bunch of rich people and the people hanging on are hoping it will spike when it is available on coinbase in January. The pump happened, time to cut your loses people. A lot of people try and hype BCH because they lost money on that investment. They want to wait for another pump in order to not feel like they've been cheated. BCH is promoted by McAfee, a guy who made crap antivirus software, Roger ver, who's main focus is money, and Craig White, the fake Satoshi Nakamoto. The rest are filled with newcomers to Bitcoin that either joined earlier this year or not even two months ago.

Disclaimer: there are a few who have been in Bitcoin for awhile, but they are a minority of crypto enthusiasts that support BCH.

OP, ignore them. We are holding the UTXOs of the most valuable blockchain. All the jealous developers and Core haters want to fork the real and the original. If you want to hold a share of those forked coins, then hold the one true BITCOIN. The best of them all, what the smartest people in the room work on, not the fugazi.

sadly all the Reddit bitcoin boards are useless now. it has been a while that i've seen something worth wasting time to read over there.
r/bitcoin is either a twitter feed or calling r/btc a total shit
r/btc is either saying how BCH is growing or calling r/bitcoin a total shit and censorship

sadly reddit is one of those places that attracts lots of users, mostly newcomers who are exposed to all this nonsense instead of learning more about bitcoin!

This is actually not limited to bitcoin. You should take anything written on reddit about any topic with a grain of salt. Most of the time, comments are written by people who act like they've been doing what they are talking about for years, but they generally have no idea.

I had read this following comment by one of the reddit users, which I think is incredibly correct: "When I read comments about things I know, I realize that I shouldn't take any comment seriously written about things that I don't know."

Reddit bitcoin communities have been very toxic lately, This is extremely bad when you consider the fact that many new users go there for tutorials and informations when they're first getting started. They get there and face so much political drama and discussion that they might be put off cryptos entirely.

Many people got into tricked that BCH will overtake BTC because of Segwit 2x drop and BTC fees going high. And the pump and dump caused a massive price variation. But sadly a lot people lost their money and the big whales made a fortune. One thing I learned is whenever BTC drops it will come back much stronger. I have been following both the subreddits and yeah there are a lot of difference. That begin said even r/Bitcoin is highly censored.

Both subreddits have their problems, but imo /r/btc is much more sketchy of a place. I can't believe any place that advocates for BCH.
