Thanks for your patience.

To help smoothen the escrow process (at least for me), I'd request traders to confirm the trade with the other party first. Once that's done, either party can submit all relevant trade information through this Escrow Request form.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1qN17vECkqEl5TVSGWMgod1CCXHCMoRDQCLMEI21fdO4/viewform

Information in this form is private. I will then PM both parties with this information and if all's good, we proceed with the trade.

Hope this will make communications clearer and make the trade safer and more efficient for all parties.

Thank you for your cooperation.

With increasing volume and the irreversible nature of transactions, the escrow agents are bearing a lot of risk. A lapse in concentration, 1 wrong address, 1 fat finger error could end up with quite a loss. Handling multiple transactions simultaneously increases the risk.

More escrow agents would help; Anyone can engage anyone else to escrow, but doing it through the existing order book has to be coordinated by Maxmint. Feel free to independently engage each other to escrow. There are also several trusted sellers who will be able to trade directly

An improvement to the existing manual system (Maxmint's order book) is being worked out. In the interim, I'm putting together a simple procedure to make it easier & safer for traders & escrow agents to interact. I wont be responsive for a while, until this is done. Be patient please. Thanks.

As you can see above I have a pending request to remove that sell.

Things move FAST in the Mastercoin world - Pouncer & maxmint are working hard on the order book, it's not fair to expect them to be updating it every minute of the day.

My current sell is now 0.26, max 50 MSC.  Please update the order book at your convenience.

Cheers

Please remove my 0.23 sell and place another for 50 MSC @ 0.24.  First come, first served, no offers.  50 only, then my ask is going up again.  Cheers

And they're gone.  Cheers
Does this mean you sold 50 @ 0.24?  Then why doesn't the order book get updated to show last trade price?

Yep, within about 30 secs of posting.  This trade was direct, I think the order book only includes trades maxmint/pouncer escrow.

Lishbtc your payment should get done today. Hopefully soon.

Cool, will send the MSC in the next hour or so.

Message the person you want to trade with on the "Asks" side.

Then agree on a deal then proceed to use ESCROW with maxmint or Pouncer

Sweet mother of mercy.

I feel kind of responsible for all the money you guys are investing in this idea. Makes me a bit queezy. Doesn't help me sleep at night, either.

Maple, I'll take them. Can we arrange an escrow?

If anyone is looking for escrow I am willing to do it free of charge. I will manually verify and post all the details of the MSC transaction before releasing the BTC. I have not yet done any escrow transactions, so of course I understand if you'd rather use trusted escrow agents like Maxmint or Pouncer, but I'd like to become a trusted escrow agent in order to help the MSC community as requests for orders grow. I am invested in MSC so I have a vested interest in helping out where I can.

jquinn, thanks for trying to help out! Here's how Pouncer started as an escrow: he deposited 5 BTC as a security on one of my escrow addresses. Should he try to scam anyone (which I'm sure he won't) then there will be a least 5 BTC funds to compensate the victim. I guess this helped building trust in the beginning.

If you want to go the same way let me know and I can setup an escrow address for you. But this is just a suggestions of course.

Okay that sounds fine to me. Would the arrangement be that I could get the BTC back after a certain number of successful transactions? Or is Pouncer keeping his in your escrow account until the distributed exchange is ready? Wednesday is basically hell day for me at work, I could be working until 3 or 4 am tonight, but I could arrange to get that coin out of cold storage no later than tomorrow morning (it's 3:30 PM here right now). I will contact you then to make arrangements.

Mayhem. Hysteria. Panic!

lol

Maxmint I am fed up - I lost 1 day negotiating with someone that probably will not sell and now someone probably trying to scam me..

Please add my ask in the order book for buying 62.5MSC @0.2BTC each, total 12.5BTC

Thank you in advance!

@Pouncer: Please release back to me the coins I have in escrow, I will tip you in another successful deal!

To the Mastercoin experts: I made a mistake and instead of sending the 0.00006 to the three address that Mastercoin Advisor game in the same transaction, I did THREE separate transactions... How big is the mistake? did I lose any MSC?

You've lost exactly 3 x 0.00006 BTC Smiley
As long the receiving address does not show up with a transaction in mastercoin-explorer.com or masterchest.info, you'll have to repeat the transaction with multiple sends in one.

Really? That's it? Are you shure? Fiuuuuuu... I really had a bad time, I thought I might have lost ALL my mastercoins!

The transactions are still unconfirmed, so I guess I'll have to wait for them to confirm before I can check my balance on mastercoin-explorer (which btw is offline now)

Yeah, been there, don't worry... Just check masterchest.info if your address doesn't see any leaving MSC after blockchain confirmation to be sure.
Actually in original whitepaper the transaction was described as 3 separate sends with max of six blocks between them. This confused me, and seems not to be the case anymore.
