Match fixing can be real but not to a noticeable rate, a lot of things happened behind the seen even with sanctions in place for this kind of act, people can still find their way to manoeuvre and would not get caught in the action.
I doubt sometimes it happens to some noticeable rate, i watched a game were this team played to a smaller club and it was unlike how they played knowing they have easy points before them, all attacking chance were dissolved back to their goal keeper claiming to take possession of the ball, this went on and the players were slow, nothing seems right from the game and my instinct kicked that the game was sold.

I don't think any gambling company will pay directly for a fixed game, it's hard to believe but this trade is mostly an agreement between both teams playing against each other.

An aggrieved gambler may say anything to make themselves feel good including choosing to accuse a sports betting company of match fixing. Every new gambler should understand that the odds to win in gambling is not always in their favor and will always be in the favor of the company so the chances of them losing is always higher than the chances of them winning. Most sports betting companies do not also have the ability to fix matches, so the accusation that some sports betting companies are involved in match fixing to me is false.
Some people will not know this until they gamble and losing even if the matches are not manipulated. They do not know that the betting sites will calculate the probability of their customers winning and it would be small in a way that they will make money from the customers while most of the customers will be losing. I have calculated the probability before and I noticed nobody should take betting as a way of making money just like we should not take gambling as a way of making money.

One thing that I have also researched about before are the people that got addicted in betting. I mean betting and not gambling because this thread is about betting. All of the addicts are good in making findings about teams or people that are playing or competing against each other but they will only noticed that they are losing after better. What makes them lose is that they think they have deployed another strategy that can help them but instead it is making them lose.

The same way gamblers lose money sometimes that's same way sport betting companies lose money sometimes, and same way gamblers win sometimes that's same way sport betting companies win sometimes.
match fixing I believe can happen in sports. but I believe it is for the benefit of personal teams and some other people. not related to certain bookmakers to get bigger wins or avoid losses.
in betting, we have to be more realistic. it will not be easy for sportsbooks to fix live matches. there are many who will be involved and I am sure they will not bother to do it.
we may see more match fixing in less popular leagues. so just avoid betting there.

There have been many talks bout match-fixing some are proven but not really entirely. However, there are ways entirely that you can see how they are doing it in public especially when the fight in boxing is a mismatch which means you know exactly who will win because of the advantage of the other.

Some people claim that whenever they fix a match it only needs one player in the team to be compromised for the team to lose deliberately.

There's a news going round this days that the reason why gamblers are no longer winning games when it comes to sport betting is because sport bet companies and other influential people in the world always buy matches and tell them what they should play, for example two football clubs are playing a match tomorrow and a lot of people have predicted on that particular match and if majority of gambler's have predicted on it that sport bet companies will decide to buy the match in other for those clubs to play the unexpected.
This is not true because such act is highly prohibited by nations they have a very strict laws against match fixing and any Player, coache, or official caught engaging in this practice risk being ban from the sport there by tarnishing their careers and reputations.
One of the reasons why match fixing is not supported is because it kills the passion for that particular sport and Match-fixing involves manipulation and deception, betraying the trust of fans, players, and stakeholders who expect the sport to be genuine, that news flying around about match fixing is false, if your prediction didn't go as predicted those not mean the match was fixed.

What do you want to say with this post? That fixed matches don't exist? And even funnier is the statement that there are no fixed matches, just because it is prohibited. This statement is equivalent to saying that there is no theft in the world, just because it is prohibited by law.

Officially, there was no scandal related to fixed matches. That is, formally, it is impossible to prove. Which is not surprising, if rich people were able to agree and influence the outcome of the match in their favor, then it will not be difficult to hush up this matter. But sometimes there are such matches that you watch and are surprised that the team behaves completely differently than usual, roughly speaking, a radically changed "handwriting". This is precisely what raises doubts and suspicions about the existence of fixed matches.

At the moment, fixed matches are like UFOs: no one has seen them, but everyone says that they exist. Smiley Or is this still an established urban legend?

Even though cases of fraud are constantly reported, this does not imply that players lose because of it. Many bet out of fanaticism or under biases. While it is possible for matches to be rigged, it certainly doesn't happen with all matches. My advice is that in competitions where one team seems far superior to another, not to bet on that match and choose another or do it without risking a lot of money.

Match fixing will high unlikely happen in important match.

I still believe there's a chance match fixing happen in Premier League, La Liga, Serie A etc because the league is long, 38 weeks, cheating in few match would be fine.

But, if it's an Europa League and Champions League during elimination round, there's no team will joking, if they lose, they lose. They will try their best to win the match, hence we always see a fierce match during elimination round.

Even though we know that match-fixing does exist, that's not the reason why most gamblers are losing their bets. There are so many bets a gambler can have their bets on, to think of it. And there's no way sports bet companies and influential people in the world can influence all the sports bets of the week to their bidding. They can influence only one or two games for the week, whereas there are other numerous matches they couldn't influence the results. I believe many gamblers will still have their winning on those matches as thought

If you do not want match fixing manipulations, do not bet on low leagues. Only go for the high leagues. The reason bettors are losing is not because of match fixing. It is because that is how betting is. Sport betting sites use low odds to work out the expected value which is making bettings to have more probability of losing.
I think you got one of the tricks they use here, since I realized this tricks in odds, I no longer rely on odds to Forcast my games, In fact when I see a team that is given a big odd to win and I know this team has been in good form in their past few matches, I don't care much about the odd given to them rather, I take the big odds because that's how they trick people away from thinking that those games are not going to win ,whereas those odds ends up being in the money.

Match fixing rarely happens in the big leagues. It is only rampant in smaller leagues where the games are fixed among the players because of the poor payment they receive. I cannot imagine any influential person buying matches in the La Liga, Premier league, serie a,  and others. Although I have heard that match fixing in the big leauges could occur in terms of seemingly random VAR, shady penalties, switching off floodlights, and offside decisions that doesn't make sense. But in small leauges, these are places where crime boss controls the bookies and dictate how the match goes.

Not all bettors follow prediction websites when they bet also casino doesn’t buy anything to change the outcome of the game. It’s a normal occurrence on sports or in general gambling that unexpected result will happened since that’s the risk of betting. All games is not written that favorites always win, the odds was placed based on potential outcome there’s a chance to lose even with the odds of 1.01 match pick.

Match fixing is not a big issue on public betting since it just follow the outcome of whatever set by the instigator. Match fixing doesn’t mean their goal is always the highest odds.

I really doubt they buy professional games, especially the national ones. They might have a better chance at paying the referee and trying to manipulate some of the calls but it cannot be done by buying the game itself because that will be big trouble for the sports association and they will have fewer supporters if it's leaked out that they are dealing with sports bookies.
I think there have been cases when referees are too obvious at trying to manipulate the score by calling more fouls in basketball and abusing the rules in different sports. But, if proven they are guilty of doing it, they will lose their job and maybe even be blacklisted in any sport as a referee.

Match fixing happens that is the fact but it's not like they can bend the results whenever and however they want especially in team sports like Football, the sport is much bigger than the money involved from sports betting, there may be some players take advantage of financial gains but it's illegal and there are also many cases the players lost their career when they found involved in fixing.

And there is a sub-category in this which is called spot fixing when players manipulate the particular moment whether it can be player or even referees which often happened in the past but it's almost spotted in this modern era.

You know what they say OP about a smoke without a fire? This news about match fixing has been going on for decades now, especially amongst the small leagues, and though it hasn’t actually been proven and no culprits has been apprehended but still, I don’t believe those news are just flying around for no reason. Yes a lot of gamblers may be using this as an excuse to why they’ve been losing more often in their bets, which isn’t actually true, I believe match fixing or manipulation is real and happening but not as it’s been exaggerated by gamblers.

Match fixing can happen in any league. Both the high leagues and low leagues. But it is most common in low league since they are less valued and no penalty giving can affect a player's career that matches. When it comes to the high league, match manipulations do not just happen within the players, it's done through officiating. That way no one is to be blam for what has been done. It will become less traceable and not too open. You will agree with me that match manipulation still occurs in the EPL including other top leagues.
