I don't have much knowledge in cryptocurrency but when we consider about the price vs market cap chart in pass years , we could clearly identify the price increment year by year. Some big characters on crypto world say bitcoin will hit 50,000$ USD limit but I believe bitcoin will pass 25,000$ USD limit based on the technical analysis.

It will be very difficult to predict the peak of the price of bitcoin when market forces such as supply and demand, regulations and ban by various government and dumping by the whales are the impeding factors that will make or mar the price movement such that it be absolutely difficult to predict the price. - How high can the value of BTC reach at its peak? (and maybe a quick summary why)

I am optimistic about the prospects of bitcoin. I think that now the cryptocurrency market is experiencing temporary difficulties. I believe that at the end of 2018 the cost of bitcoin will reach its maximum historical value and even exceed it.
if bitcoin had a marketcap of $1Trillion, 1 bitcoin would be worth $58,551.69. I believe $1 trillion is easily achievable in 2-3 years. When / if everybody jumps on board, the possibilities are endless. My OWN personal prediction is, it will collapse in 10 - 15 years time. IF bitcoin is still dominant in 10 years time, $5 trillion marketcap out the question? im betting on $200,000 - $300,000 ATH.

Btc price depends on supply and demand, like stocks in the stock markets.
If bitcoin really reach a marketcap of $1Trillion, it will be time of celebration for many of us.
I believe that such price is realistic since btc price a few months ago was close to $ 20 000.
I saw many of you guys predict under 30k , why are you guys so pesimistic ?
It was already 20k+ last year, i'm sure it will go more than 30k this year at Q4.

I am totally agree with the thought. As the uprising of Bitcoin is so high. So we can be very optimistic that one day Bitcoin can reach more than 100K.

This is very hard question to answer because no one knows how much the bitcoin can reach even the founder says that bitcoin will reach huge growth or will become nothing in 2030.So the peak value of bitcoin will reach when 100% of people using it but obiviously it is not possible too so it still takes time to see how much people accept the decentralized money system.But some people saying that $1M will be the high price and it can be reached in 2030. - How high can the value of BTC reach at its peak? Hello everybody! already many times influential people in the crypto world said that bikoin would cost very much! my opinion that bitcoin this year will set a new record for the price! I'm sure that the price until the new year will be around 25,000! taking into account the fact that production is declining, and the stability of transactions is increasing, in the next few years the price of bitcoins will reach 100,000! this figure is not fantastic, but realistic! all world investors keep most of their investment in bitcoin, and the terms of investment set themselves to 2020-2021! I want bitcoin to find its real standing and stop, that's when it will not interfere with the growth of all other coins!
Hey GeorgiyBilyk, I also think its possible and realistic it goes to around $100k (no idea when mind, perhaps the date you quoted because of scarcity) but i cannot see beyond that, it depends on so many factors and possibilities/permutations where things could implode in price or explode in price!

Can you tell me what can be the maximum price of Gold ? Can you tell me how high the rates of property can go ?
There won't be an answer. Similarly the question you have asked cannot have a definite answer as it belongs the knowledge of future which nobody has.
Anybody can sell it at any price and the lowest of it would be considered as the selling price. If suddenly everybody starts selling it at $1 million and people still buy it then the price of 1 BTC would be $1 million (don't take it seriously though). Only time can tell us the answer to that question.

, I hear what you say about nobody knows what the price of anything is, as this is a Bitcoin forum i thought it was a fair question thats all. Also, history tells us a lot of how gold prices and property prices have performed against inflation and economic stability, so realistically i think you could easily gauge the price of either of those with better precision vs the price of BTC which is in its infancy and has no real history or story to tell against economics, war, buyer sentiment etc. For me, thats why people may see it is a risky investment.
For the record, i am PRO-Bitcoin by the way, incase my words are taken out of context.
The lowest price and the highest Bitcoin price are the only users that specify. The decentralization system is designed to allow everyone to contribute to a price change, in contrast to a national currency that can be hung on economic circumstances and adjust, but bitcoins are not like that. The attractiveness of investors to be the foundation of bitcoin prices, if more and more they come with the money then bitcoin prices will continue high, however, if investors pulled their money for some reason then bitcoin prices would decline even drastically because the investment culture in bitcoin is highly dependent on market conditions.
Hope Bitcoin can reach $30000 realistically as per the current trend because the current trend for past 6 months is not that much high and it is trending in a range less than $10000. Bitcoin price is always volatile and anything can happen anytime but I hope the price may reach up to $30000 within this year end.

There is no definite peak for bitcoin's price as it is ever changing, especially when investors decide to invest on it or not, together with the FOMO it generates once a bullish run is detected. Many are thinking that we can have a good guess on the peak price by using TA and compiling historical data sets, but it simply wouldn't give you a clear picture of what's in store for bitcoin. For me, I personally believe that it all depends on the bottom price during a particular time frame. As we can observe, the bottom for every bullish run is higher, or higher lows for that matter. This is a good determinant but once again, one can never really know.

Some people are saying BTC will be $1 million per coin in the future. But when that will happen I really don't know. Its all about mass adaptation of BTC and other cryptocurrencies. The fact that now there are stringent regulations on cryptocurrencies have made many investors back down from crytocurrencies (including BTC) . In my opinion this is why the current market is kind of stagnant in terms of BTC price. Mass adoption, more conducive regulations by governments will astronomically increase the price of BTC, but what's that exact price? I really don't know!

I doubt that BTC will reach same heights as in 2017 but it will rise over 10/12 k. Longer HTC stays at these prices, more likely people will start to invest. Once that starts, the price will go up again.
there are no maximum pruce that bitcoin can reach, as we know last year we dont expect that bitcoin will rise up until $20000 but we can see that the price is reach that value, maybe we dont expect about price in next year or next 2 year, maybe it will readch more than $50000 who knows?
