The monopolies that do work, don't work any better than if they didn't exist.  A benign monopoly such as a limited term copyright may not cause any harm, but it can still be a limitation upon the consumer (that's the point, after all) so the best case can never be achieved under the monopoly. Thus, on the whole, monopolies make the public worse off than they could have been otherwise.

Government should be automated. Automation should be a free public service; therefore nearly full control.

There are some bits of automation you can't let the government do, which is why I didn't vote absolute; but I did the whole "please-explain" thing. If anyone actually quotes this, I'll be pretty amazed.

Extending water use statistics beyond what is traditionally accounted will provide governments with the information needed to manage their water resources and external water dependence in a comprehensive way. Traditional national water use accounts only refer to the water withdrawal within a country. They do not distinguish between water use for making products for domestic consumption and water use for producing export products. They also exclude data on water use outside the country related to the water footprint of consumption.

The first and foremost role of the Government is to ensure that it’s citizens are able to enjoy their fundamental human rights as well as make that they are safe from all harm whether domestic or international and make sure that there is a suitable atmosphere for peace and development as well as the achievements of personal goals,

It  is an ideal and sensible question to ask why we have government in our society. Government is purely an institution constituted to serve the masses and therefore should be free from all forms of personal, financial and political gains for those at the helm of affairs. From all sense of it government has many roles to play in the lives of the citizens. It is the responsibility of government to provide her citizens with quality education, better housing and loan scheme through a financial institution. Above all government should be keen in providing an enabling environment for the citizens who voted them into power to establish and do business.

Totally agree. As far as I remember, in ancient Greece, for instance, people were appointed government positions as a form of service - you gain no personal benefit, but your work is to serve society. It was their duty, their responsibility - now politicians work mainly to maintain their own welfare, only pursuing people`s interests when the election is near.
I wonder what`ll happen if this consept is brought back to life, at least as an experiment - we might see some very interesting results.

Lastly, the salaries of serving political figures and leading figures in the public sector like the police and defence force should be voted on by the public themselves.

In my eyes the role of the government must be limited, and there should be no room for self-enrichment

The problem you are all having is really a legal one.
Some people like the gov't statutory limited liability insurance schemes.
Others want strict and full liability for injuries IN FACT to people and property.

To be a peacemaker, and be able to secure the country's security from terorist.

Government officials are the one who help our country to put in a stable state wherein other country will not bully us anymore. Their role is to protect us from all danger that is surrounding us especially from crimes and terrorism. They also help poor one to have a better living so they won't suffer from poverty. We should trust our government and believe that they can do their job properly.

Exceptionally intriguing cases and not in any way shape or form amazing that the theoretical one raft situation has occured commonly in reality. Clearly the primary concern continues as before, conditions offen block decision. The main issue is that there's been so much redirection and preoccupation by the opposite side, I don't considerably recall why absence of decision matters. Ok, believe it or not, on the grounds that the libernuts expect that in case I'm stuck in a tight spot, it must be on account of I was there.
Am I right?

I've made my opinion abundantly clear elsewhere, Now it's your turn!

An explanation or defense of your position would be nice, too.

They must provide the country, lead so that the country would not be in a benignity) not to lie to its people,  it's like our father, he has to take care not only of himself. but also about their people))

They should ensure a secure and stable environment to enable free trade, innovation, development and production through securing our national borders, and protecting against internal threats such as racketeering, intimidation, violence and corruption, and defend the country from any external threat to our way of life.

Government includes different people that are willing to serve and willing to help their country to increase the economy. They are also the one who established different kinds of laws that can help the country to maintain peacefulness. They are also the one who helps people to have a better future by giving jobs that can help them to have a better living. And a government officials should be intelligent and responsible to their country because they are the one who stands as the leader of a country.

If you believe any of these things are true in practice; either you are too young to know better or your livelihood depends on your self-delusion.  No government functions in the matter portrayed by government schools.
