Well, meditation is good, it helps many times to solve problems, it works for me, it not only relaxes me,
it helps me to see other scenarios of solutions and it is beneficial,
for my part I apply it at the end of the day.

Meditation can relax the mind but always keep remember that it won't solve your problems but it can help you to take things easier. I tried it before, it is difficult to stay focus with all the worries of life but once you find the balance, it is really like a river flow experience.

When do you need to meditate? Is is kind of a hobby or you do it when you feel your mind is at chaos?

I think both? I do it not because I have so many problems but I do it because it became a hobby before. But right now, I am busy with other things that I can't find time to do it. Sometimes when I am stressed out, I just eat and sleep or play online gambling when I got time. The thing is, meditation isn't about doing it just because you need it, but you will do it again because you like it. It will be difficult for sure at first but then once you got the rhythm, you'll find that "inner peace" that everyone else are talking about.

My meditation is being surrounded by nature, sitting, watching the clouds move and listening to the romantic music  Smiley

Meditation is sometimes one way for us to be able to introspect ourselves, meditation can also be used for us to be able to think clearly in making a decision because by meditation we get a quiet atmosphere to be able to think. The most appropriate way to do meditation is to go to a quiet place, a place that is really far from the crowds. We can also meditate with special worship. Especially our nature of worship will make our hearts feel calm because we feel very close to God.

There are many forms of meditation; but in it's simplest basic form it's controlled slow breathing in a comfortable posture with erected spine - I tried that and I must say that it's quite relaxing and stress relieving...

I don’t think that  meditation  is for everyone. I did not like to meditate, it was very long, boring and pointless for me. Everyone have they own way to achieve peace and happiness. For me it’s piano playing, for someone else it can be sport, cooking or reading.

People often give time as a major reason for not meditating however this in its self is not totally accurate, it is just more likely that we are putting other things in front of meditation.

It's very hard to focus and it takes a long to practice enough. But is an unreal feeling of relaxation. Like your soul is about to live the body.

Meditation requires so much concentration on the breath. It requires quite a lot of discipline in my opinion.

Yea, many people think it is relaxing and easy, but it can be quite intense. Laying in a hammock is relaxing, meditation is work, maybe more relaxing long term, but it's no beach.

What meditation does it will just help you mind to relax and calm but it would never solve your problems, perhaps it can help you think well on how to solve it.

In the past I have experienced autogenic training, requires patience and training to have the benefits (already after 2 weeks almost every day): lucid and remarried mind, reduced stress

On Google there were 673,000 searches in September 2018 for the term learn meditation. So I was curious to discover what holds people back. One area that sprang to mind especially thinking back to when I first got interested in meditation is time.

What for you gets in the way of daily meditation? The reason I ask this question is that almost universally mediation is said to be one of the fundamentally best ways to relax and get relief from stress so the question is, why is it more people don't meditate?

i didn't try it before, how to do it?

Basic one. Sit cross legged. Touch your tongue to the roof of your mouth behind the front teeth. Straighten your spine. Relax your face muscles. Close your eyes. Breathe through your nose. Bring your attention to your breath. In. Out. If other thoughts arise acknowledge them and then bring your attention back to your breath.

There are a lot more resources online. Look up mindfulness meditation and dan tian breathing.
