The reason why some sites don't state that is because it should be common sense that as a USA resident you are not allowed to do any online gambling at all, whether its bitcoin or not.

You can use a VPN but keep in mind that if you send your withdraw to coinbase or xapo, they will blacklist your account because you are not allowed to send/receive transactions from any gambling btc addresses.
This is not true! Most US states allow online gambling, it is not allowed to send money to online gambling sites.

Despite of this, the operator has to state which countries are not allowed to use the service.

How does that make sense then? If you aren't allowed to send money to an online gambling site how are you suppose to gamble then? Kind of counterintiuitive.

From what Coinbase told me, it doesn't matter what state you are in, they will blacklist you if their software detects funds arriving or being sent to an online bitcoin casino.

yes, there are many accounts banned by Coinbase if they detect funds being sent to or from a gambling site,it is not for the US citizens only
many pinoys were complaining as they used one gambling site that didn't change the deposit address at all and probably withdrew from a set of wallets as well
most of the casinos, though, change their addies very often so it is hard to detect if the money is coming from a casino or not
of course it is not worth to risk and check, you will get banned and funds confiscated by Coinbase
the only advantage coinbase had was no fees, not sure how is it now since I have around 50k satoshi there left Smiley

That would be a good question to the law maker. I was also surprised when I heard of it first time.

Players can get funds to a site with player to player transfer or no deposit bonuses or when US players are abroad they can make deposits from there, etc..

The rule at Coinbase confirm the US laws, processing money to and from... is not allowed. Wink

Well, some game cant run. I ask live support and he say thats because restriction from country. So i try another game and its work fine without problem. I dont have problem with deposit and withdrawal. But withdrawal take long time for get confirmation.
I heard it for the first time that it is also possible that from a specific country some of the games will work and some of the games will not work. I am curious about this to increase my knowledge.
The problem of transaction is from bitcoin as nowadays the crowd is higher on blockchain technology.

I don't think that only certain games are restricted to any particular country? What I know is some countries don't allow online gambling so they can't access the full site but only some games restriction first time hearing this issue. I also some popular gambling sites can't access from my country but never had this issue.

Looks like you guys are restricting US IPs, any plans to change that?

you can use a VPN or a proxy to avoid getting banned based on your IP
not sure about withdrawals, though, but I don't see any TOS lines about not allowing US gamblers
sadly, there are many casinos that do not allow US customers to play
Primedice,for example,don't allow USA and Australia IP's

If The Us residents are not allowed to play in the casino then I am sure that the withdrawal to them will also be not allowed but as they are doing in bitcoin which is anonymous so any person who will use any proxy will easily withdraw their bitcoins as with bitcoin no one know the location of other.

the problem is that if US players are not allowed to play, when you withdraw any substantial amount of money
they could ask you for KYC verification-you are, basically, done then
won't get any money and they would be right to do so
but I can't find in their TOS that the US citizens are not allowed to play, lets wait for admin or site representative to comment on this
When I suggest to one of my friend about this site then he recalled me about the issue that the site is not showing but only a page which is saying that sorry the US citizens are not allowed to play on this site. So it means that US citizens are not allowed.

tough luck then Sad
it is bad for the site, many whales come from the US and they have bitcoins to spend as the adoption is high there
there must be some tax or legal issue for the ban,no admin would want to shoot himself in the foot
suggest him a different site then, there are many to choose from nowadays
Yes he is already in many casino for gambling and as I though that he love more to casinos that is why I also suggested to him to join this site. The admin have to tell us the details that why you have locked the US residents.

Bitcoin has become nearly unusable yesterday when it hit over 200000 unconfirmed transactions.

I suggest Megadice considers an altcoin like ETH or LTC as soon as the Lightning network is enabled.
Both ETH and LTC have faster TX and can be traded for fiat currency.

Yes pretty much everybody is angry in this situation because not every BTC gambling website wants to go thru major re-coding to add another alt-coin. And maybe sites will start losing gamblers to sites which have more currencies other than BTC.

I think most people usually keep their BTC in cold storage, send it to the gambling sites to gamble for a few hours and withdraw at the end of the day.

But with these huge fees many will stop completely using BTC to gamble and use alts.

either that or just get rid of the BU fuckwits spamming the network, because they aren't getting their way.
any cryptocurrency is vulnerable to this attack.

although i will admit, for that brief period where you could send a node message and take out a BU node - very good fun.

Where does it say the domain was purchased for $12 million

On 18 July 2013, Erik Voorhees announced that SatoshiDice had been sold for 126,315 BTC, or US $12.4 million at the time of the announcement.
