Now I noticed that one transaction has been waiting for me for 24 hours. I see that the fee today was >30 sat/vB. I've almost gotten used to the pleasant 9-11 sat/vB lately.
Is there a specific reason for this move?

I just manually trigged FeeBuddy, as the fees changed.

I made a transaction today as well with 40 sat/vB which took nearly an hour to confirm. And I noticed that we had a gap of about 1 hour with 3 blocks...

Fees climbed up slowing today, but I noticed that there were only 3-4 blocks per hour today... this might be the reason

I see some data in the blocks, but not much

website under attack again since yesterday. @examplens

I don't know why I didn't get a notification for this.

DA allows me to see stats only for the completed day (until the 24th), this is how your bandwidth chart looks like for May. The other parameters look fine, I will also increase the monitoring these days.

update:

bitmover it is possible that the attack was very short, but it seems that you and CF handled it well this time

I just enabled Bot Fight Mode, which will break FeeBuddy temporarily... i wasn't able to configure Bot Fight Mode in free plan..

I tried to add the IP address in a whitelist, lets see if it works.

Currently 8Sat/vB /9sat/vB makes it the most beautiful to trade.  And it will cost you much less transaction fees so that's great.

But regardless of their estimation, we can always set the fee manually, no?

Only if wallet you use let you do that. Few wallet simply doesn't let you do that or only let you choose between few fee rate choice.

Oh, I din't know that. I'm just using Electrum and there you can add or remove even just 1 satoshi from your fee. ( I hadn't known it at first and was using the fee that Electrum  was proposing me, but later, when the fees became unbearably high, figured it out.) So convenient!

Maybe that guy transferring over 1 BTC didn't care about losing 76.39 USD? It's indeed a small amount comparing to what he transferred.

You might be right. But even if you live in developed country, that money still could get you few lunch.

Yeah, it would be stupid to just throw the money away by anyone, even from a developed country.

This could be also some custodial service.  For example  withdrawal from an exchange/casino/other payment system.

Bad software exists everywhere...

This is most likely the answer. No human would make such a mistake.
