These faces, while quaint and easily accessible, are confusing considering that not everyone expresses the same emotion towards certain aspects.

Agreed.  I've never even tried to understand what the various faces mean on the list.  They all look pretty much the same to me.  A small 'scam' icon (maybe just a box with 'scam' written in it, say) is much more obvious than a face sticking its tongue out, or wearing shades, or whatever the scam icon currently is.

I think random listing is fair, though we would be happy to pay for top spot Wink

Maybe a veteran icon could be used to show sites older than 1 year ?
Who would be the oldest bitcoin game I wonder ? If their still operating now I bet they have amassed a sizeable amount of btc Cheesy

Wouldn't it be fair to list the website in the order they were created? There are new n00bs writing up dice scripts every day now and it would guarantee a safe gambling environment.

CasinoBit would be more or less only above 5 or 6 different sites out of a lot of them.

Not sure how you can talk Tongue But still, a good idea.

Well actually we would be at the very top, even above such veterans as S.Dice, Seals with Clubs, bitzino, most likely the very first (citation needed). Of course I can also settle for 5 or 6 above the bottom since this would be only counting the time since we've remodeled and reopened, I'm not too greedy.

I suggest having icons and using the site logos if possible to make reading the list a bit less...involved.

I think you got legend mixed up slightly on that one, mem. PrimeDice isn't PvP and is provably fair, so I think it was meant to be the Grin face lol

Also I can confirm that BitBattle.me is provably fair & legit. They're currently pending, but sometimes you ask for extra sources, so thought I'd point out that they're definitely worthy of the list.

Edge%: not sure what the percentage is but it is small... there must be 50+ entries, and they must all lose while there are only 16 options, meaning there would have to be at least 3 entries to all except the winning digit

Probably better to use a single thread.  People subscribe to threads and get notified of new posts.  I'd want to be able to subscribe to the 'Dabs lotto' thread, and not have to keep searching for new ones to subscribe to.

Okie dokie. My bad. Will continue using #2 and just update OP to 3 next week. #1 can just fade away since I've locked it already and pointed it to #2.

People are getting confused, and it's my fault.
Dabs Lotto Number 1 was indeed 95% https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/closed-dabs-lotto-number-1-winner-congratulations-to-1myjkap-202063
Dabs Lotto Number 2 is up to 100% https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/000-low-hash-lotto-number-29-by-dabs-provably-fair-weekly-draws-212855

The URL and Thread information in the above specifically states topic 212855 which is Number 2. You can check the quote of my post by mem.

In fact, due to only having 1 player in Number 1, I gave out 100%, effectively refunding him in full for being a good sport.

I am hoping more people play this second round.

Hi Dabs Cheesy

I might enter my casino in round #2 for fun. Headed over to your thread now.

Yeh design definitely isn't everything. Content is important as well - Something Satoshi Roulette covers very well!

Awww Shucks Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Its little compliments like this (and the profits) that make it all worth while for codemonkey and I Cheesy

mem I see you have already set our new house edge for rdice and jdice Smiley
We reduced the house edge so that jackpots would build quicker, seems ot be working great.

Love the new list, It could be a bit neater but glad to see it active again.

I personally dislike forum run lotteries due to the inherent risk, but Im happy to list it as Pending and monitor it while its run (which I try to do with all lottery sites and event betting sites).

Is there really any extra risk when a game doesn't have a website?

SatoshiDice could easily operate without a website.  All they need is the blockchain and somewhere to publish their addresses.  A forum thread could work for that.  I don't think a web presence really reduces risk at all.  Pirate had a website.  So did BitcoinMax.

If the operator decides to run off with people's bets, having a website isn't going to stop him.

No but it does "ever so slightly" increase the effort required to pull a con. A forum post is 2 minutes of effort at the best made at no cost to the operator.
Those that couldnt see Pirate coming despite me and everyone warning them were greedy fools thatw were bound to loose their bitcoin to one con artist or another.

Where's the fine print?  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/closed-dabs-lotto-number-1-winner-congratulations-to-1myjkap-202063 doesn't mention anything about 20% being held back.  In fact it explicitly says this, which implies no more than 5% is held back:

About Dabs' Raffle:

[...] 95% of tickets sales go to the winner.

Jesus titty fucking christ, nice catch Dooglus.

It's an interesting point and I guess you could say it simply reduces exposure, nothing more, nothing less.

It also inherently shows that the owner has dedicated more time to the project. If a gambling operation has a nice website which has obviously taken a lot of time to set up, they will be less likely to disregard that effort/time by 'running off' with money.

Time to post a thread on here: 20 mins? Sometimes more if you went into deeper detail like Dab did.
Time to make a nicely designed website: Hours

Obviously some websites can take small amounts of time/effort, but it's pretty obvious when it's not that case.

Thats it Zaih, its "Proof of Work", while the difficulty is set low its better than nothing Smiley

Thanks, very nice analogy as well Cheesy

Our website definitely is "Proof of Work" Tongue, its sucks i I know but there is no question plenty of effort is spent on it Smiley

Yeh design definitely isn't everything. Content is important as well - Something Satoshi Roulette covers very well!
