I was kinda surprised that you have over 1000 posts and you are asking this question now Grin but checked you post mostly on bounty section, so that's alright Smiley just engage more in the community outside the bounty section, post in your local language threads, participate in contests held here like the art contests to celebrate 10 years! Make good posts and you will get merits easily, as easy as it's said Cheesy

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh
You've received single merit which means you already have a hint of how do we earn merits. The typical way of earning merit is to provide informative and quality posts, like the usual way in content creation, create content and earn like, upvotes and views.

That 1 merit of yours shows that even you aren't doing what we've suggested, you can gain merits but it's not guaranteed since only a few people give it like that. Yeah, it's true that you shouldn't focus on merits because the forum was typically made and focused on pure discussion. But I guess it's fine that you should do it for the merits since the forum will also benefit from that, it will lessen spam posting because you're aiming for the quality.

Topics that are engaging, informative, and help members are considered good. This does not mean every topic you create will get Merit as the distribution of merit depends on fellow members who are reading your topic. Do not create random topics every day as those will considered spam. Follow the rules and you will rank up.

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh

Ohh, receiving merit is definitely subjective on the giver's end as it depends on the topics that generally warrants merit. It could be anything under the sun but generally, you may want to create posts that contribute to the forum as a whole.

I highly advise that you contribute to the forum by creating threads that serve as a backdrop for beginners (like you) in the cryptocurrency world. Avoid spams and replying to some "mega-threads" if you do want to receive merits. But typically, the whole merit system is really subjective as it depends upon the sender on what they find "useful" or "entertaining" for them.

Good luck on your forum journey and just remember to contribute!

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh

You can get merits on any post because merits are sent from users, if they like what are you posting then you will get merits.

Some users like to only post in giveaways and bounties, that kind of post doesn't give merits at all... so, the best way to get them is by sharing high-quality info. And merits are required to grow your account, if you want to be legendary someday then you need to get 1000 merits.

People only give merit depends on their post content. Such us.

Helpful
Quality
Constructive

Giving merit is depends on the merit giver because we have different characteristics so if you like the content you have a will to give them merit.  There is no rules about giving merit but we don't recommended giving merit to the low quality member just all need is to spam threads.

Your main focus in this forum shouldn't be base on the merits system, how to rank up. You should build your energy on how to communicate and post better. Try and focus on building yourself intellectually about crypto and the rest will fall into place. There is so much to learn here. Am happy that am getting the knowledge I sole desire about crypto to enable me to be versatile in my dealings with crypto.

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh

Generally, people prefer to give merits to the post that are helpful, constructive, meaningful, informative, and more. But there are some members who have their own criteria for you to be eligible to receive his/her merit. I believe you shouldn't focus on getting merit for now but rather try to learn new things and these merits will come once someone appreciates your idea or post. I've checked your post history and most of your posts are related to bounty campaigns which are nearly impossible to receive some merit. I recommend for you to step up and visit more threads or sections other than that, made some constructive discussions.

Personally, I reward with merit posts that are constructive and informative, posts that add value to the discussion or help other members.
Different members have different opinions and criteria for sharing the merits, but in general, try to write quality posts and the bitcoin community will reward your efforts.

A member who has a lot of posts just for their bounty spam I don't think so you will get a lot of merits to rank up into a member rank up because right now you don't even post on other board just having spam to those bounties only. I don't want to judge you but it's not already too late to change your mind to become part of the constructive poster.

I came from the merit system too and I tried to grind up to this rank I think you can do it too just make quality content.

Thanks for your feedback and thanks to the person who raised my rank one level.Your feedback has opened my eyes and I will post better in the future so that everyone can benefit.

It's scary to imagine how many years it took for your eyes to open. Three years on the forum, and in your luggage, there are only reports on the bounty of the company, and you also have an alternative account, which also has a bunch of altos.

Therefore, do not flatter yourself in your insight, and continue to spam the forum, having already one merit. Now the doors have opened to even more companies.
I feel sorry for you.  Sad

You're there already buddy. One of the legendary rank user had provided you with one merit and you ranked up already to jr. member. You can celebrate it now.

Receiving merit will depend on how good your thoughts will be when making replies and threads. It will all depend on the impact of the readers and with those with smerits then they can provide you with it. For now, mostly of the users are bounty hunters so it may be difficult to receive merits especially when most of the users are only minding to receive and not to give.

If you wish to receive more merits in the future then I guess you need to exercise rewarding merits if you have some to users in which you think had help you or to other users. The circulation of merits will going to be active and that can help other users to receive as well. But, if there will be circulation then likely merits will just be hoard by the users and that is their discretion whether to keep it or not.

The forum also provided good merit source to balance users that are hoarding their merits. They were allocated with merits to be spend whenever they see quality posts worthy to be merited. So, no worries not receiving if you think you are a quality poster with these merit source. However, quality posting will not determine base on your assessment of having a quality post. Quality posts will be the assessment of the user who will send the merits to other users.

So keep always being friendly and helpful to all users here in the forum.

Anything that convince someone to read your post can get you merit(s), in this thread OG convinced so gave you merit. But in general people say make quality post to get some merits so I do suggest the same. Cheesy

Post that are helpful, a post that is not spam.

That's just some of the basis but actually there's no standard on post in order to receive a merit as merit given is based on the sender.
You can post "hello", "thank you", and "you're welcome"  and you can still receive merit, but if you really like to earn merits for you to rank up, don't get tired in contributing in the forum, be an asset in short.

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh
The last time I  checked the post that gives good merit are creating an informative thread which helps mostly newbies understand some innovative blockchain related platforms and sometime it could be funny on topic post.
But, mainly posts that solve some peoples problems are good for getting merit.

Any meaningful, useful and helpful for some other members of the forum. Gaining merit is not that easy, you have to create quality content before you gain merit, anything related to crypto can do, you may also share some of your experiences, motivation, skills, techniques, and news that you know and if there is someone who appreciates your thread then he or she might give you the merit. Giving merit is not required it depends on the member if they want to give it or not, holding merit won't make benefit them so I don't think that they would hoard it unless they have some personal reasons.

Certainly not bounty report type posts…

even if it's just bounty reports, it would be good to learn at least a little more knowledge of the English language. If OP wants to earn some merit, the first prerequisite is that others understand it.
For example, what is "bounty camping"?

Certainly not bounty report type posts…

I was going to compile a list of recent threads on the matter, but it’s really a pretty simple task to do by simply browsing the Beginners & Help section or using the search function. Doing so, you’d find dozens of threads that deal with the matter at hand.

The easiest way to understand what it entails, complementary to whatever else is said on the topic here, is to understand through examples. In order to do so, simply browse and read the merited posts on the recent merit list.

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh

Informative post
Relevant to the topic
Helpful post
Sometimes humorous post.

Mostly those kind of post are meritable so maybe contribute good here and you get the merits from the user who like your post. Also don't focus on altcoin section since that section mostly avoided by merit giver due to the spams happening on that section.
