Good list, few names are unknown to me. I will watch those new names and will find more about their contribution to this forum. Smiley
Yahoo, Hhampuz and darkstar_ are very good and trusted campaign managers, unfortunately until now I still dont have many opportunities to join their campaigns. But they are worth mentioning by many people.
Limited spots on BTC sig campaigns made impossible for every quality posters to enroll, keep watching the service section there might be a new campaign at any time.

But no one stops you from posting good content without wearing sig.

It's the year of the 10th anniversary of Bitcointalk.org, and coming up to the new year. Therefore, you get the limited edition of soppy Welsh here. Although, its always awkward doing these as I couldn't possibly thank everyone of the forum. Therefore, I present you with the blanket statement of; First of all thanks to everyone that is part of the forum, you've made this place something special, and will always be remembered in Bitcoin history. In all seriousness, I do thank everyone for being part of this great community, and making it what it is today.

However, I do have some users that I'd like to mention that were significant community figures that I've either respected, frequently enjoyed reading their posts, or had an impact on me throughout my journey.

  • Vod, and Tomatocage were the figures that I looked up to when I joined the forum. They were the most prominent figures fighting scams not for merit or for trust, but for the community. Both have had a significant part of the community outside of their scam busting abilities, and have provided the BPIP project, and the staked address thread respectfully.
  • DannyHamilton is another user that I followed during my early days on the forum. Danny was posting some of the highest quality content back then, and still is to this day. While also providing a good role model for merit source distribution, and providing a public policy of how they distribute merit.
  • SaltySpittoon this is the moderator at the time that I looked up too. Provided excellent information in their posts, and was a superb moderator. I probably annoyed Salty in the early days as I messaged them a few times about the rules of the forums, and how best to report posts. I owe a lot of my early knowledge of the forum to Salty. Hence why I included them in my poem.
  • Badbear the big bad global moderator at the time that you shouldn't piss off. Again, provided great insight to forum rules, and seemed to be a pretty level headed member of staff most of the time.
  • DeathAndTaxes despite the recent accusations which is a real shame. DeathAndTaxes provided some of the best quality Bitcoin posts in this forum. Most of his posts were interesting, and I found myself reading until late at night when I was newer to the forum.
  • hilarious&co I remember Hilarious&co taking the forum by storm, and seemed to explode onto the scene with their high amount of posts everyday. They were good posts though, and Hilarious established themselves among the community as a user with a very high work ethic who has been a global moderator for quite some time.
  • DdmrDdmr is another user who seemed to burst onto the scene with his highly valuable data, and insightful posts. While reading the Spanish section as a educational aid as I learn Spanish I've come across their excellent language skills in Spanish, and that has definitely made the process of learning a new language more bearable with reading discussion I'm actually interested in.
  • o_e_l_e_o Hasn't stopped providing great information to newbies, and answering technical questions on Bitcoin. Definitely, one of the better posters here on the forum, and you could probably spend a night or two reading some of their informative posts.
  • JetCash has been trying to help the community in many different ways, and although I might not agree with their stance on everything you can't argue that they put an incredible effort in their posts. Probably seen as the grandfather of the forum looking out for newbies, and always trying to ignite some inspiration for discussion.
  • LoyceV has always been an exceptional user of the community, but they've recently been unleashing informative data on the forum only rivaled by a few users. Also, provided me with the drawing that their daughter did well wrapped in a "huggies" if I recall diaper box. Will always appreciate that.
  • suchmoon exceptional user of the forum, and provides a laugh or two in between very good quality posts. Also, has helped the forum in more ways than one.
  • Cyrus for being the silent ninja that you are, and personally thanking me for reporting posts. Also, for the work that you do behind the scenes in account recovery along with the rest of your team.
  • Hal Finney has truly cemented himself in not only forum history for one of the most hear wrenching stories, but also one of the most heartwarming histories in computer science. Hal Finney is an inspiration to many.
  • Mitchell also another staff member that provided great informative posts, and some noteworthy threads in their history. Also, has the bot that watches our forum, and prevents bots from running havoc. Also, likes to beat me at auctions.
  • mprep Someone who I've also picked their brains about forum rules. However, in the early day I've always respected them for managing the near impossible moderation of the altcoin sections....look how that turned out Wink
  • Gmaxwell obviously, has fantastic knowledge about Bitcoin, and generally has very good advice to share. I could probably go through their post history, and merit more than 50% of it. An exceptional user of the forum, and an asset to Bitcoin.
  • Grue lurks in the dark, and you probably shouldn't piss them off. Again, someone who I remember reading a lot of their posts, and enjoying it.
  • Gavin Andersen has a lot of history in this forum, and Bitcoin. Although, many consider his involvement controversial I've always enjoyed reading his blogs, and posts on the forum. I believe Gavin to be an important part of Bitcoin's history.
  • jgarzik obviously a Bitcoin core developer, but has also had some exceptional discussions here on the forum. Jgarzik has a lot of history within Bitcoin, and the forum.

I think its worth noting theymos, Cobra, and Sirius for looking after the forum in one way or another over the years. You guys have done a fantastic job so far. As well as all the staff members, as they truly put in some incredible work. As well as all the active users looking out for the community spotting scams, and calling projects out. As well as all the merit sources which actively look to reward high quality users, and keep the cogs spinning. We've got an amazing community here.

Side note.

I slowed down my cheater detection activity after I had been promised 2 small payments to find scammers, obviously never paid since that time, I almost stopped.
Let's see if with the new year I feel like to "reopen the activity".

Goodbye 2019 and I wish for a better 2020.

Spend your merits wisely.

Satoshi, Hal, sirius, Theymos and others which works/ed hard for the community.
EFS: hard working moderator, s/he helped me when i was a newbie.
LoyceV: For great and important datas.
Julerz12: one of the best bounty managers, s/he always checked spreadsheets well and s/he fights cheaters.
Arteezy.rtx: another very good bounty manager.

Special thanks to Turkish local members. I'd love to making more friends on global forum but my english level is not very good for writing and its hard for me. But i can understand, so i'm only a reader for general forums. İs it ironic ? No, its general problem of our education system.

Happy years to everyone.

Am I wrong or Paraipan disappeared with a good amount of forum funds, that have been moved after his death?
I know coinlocket$ digged into this story a little bit.

You are right indeed. See more info here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/paraipans-coins-on-the-move-1577411. Also, here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5135232.

However, besides being a forum user, paraipan was also a Romanian. I wanted to say a word for him also as being a conational.

Since I read a fair share here, and came here around the time the Merit System was set in place, one way to list profile names to be thankful to, one way or another, would be to display the names of those that I’ve merited (which means I have certainly read their posts and found some interest in them):

Although specifically I’d like to thank those that roam around my local board (Spanish), be it as a habit or a sparse contribution. I’m still in awe that it is ridiculously small in terms of activity (number of posters and posts) for the potential and extent of the language, but pretty certain the board would have no attraction whatsoever if it wasn’t for their contributions to it, keeping the engine running for when we need to drive off in .. first gear (for starters, let’s be humble in objectives) …

Struggled to find myself! That clay gray against black background didn’t help!
Proud to be merited by you and also having been  merited in the Spanish board!
