It will be interesting to see this airdrop, I hope it won't turn out like the recent expected airdrop, when the party was ruined by bots. Considering the fact that MetaMask is a very popular wallet and many people used it at different times, in order to make this airdrop good, the creators should either choose a very early period of wallet usage to generously reward early users or the airdrop will be very large (because of its popularity) and the airdrop will be very scarce. You can not hope for Uniswap airdrop, it is unlikely that this airdrop will be more than $50 in their tokens.
I think not everyone will be eligible for Metamask airdrop. It is written on the news:

That means the airdrop is for only real users of metamask, this is really good because bots and airdrop farmers can't participate.

This airdrop will be very big . In previous Dydave their Dex users a very good profit. Criteria of Metamask will be not easy for everyone. May be they ask for 5 minimum swap on Etherum network and total volume 1k+. Many users swap token in December just for airdrop but majority of users used Bsc or Polygon chain. I am waiting for two potential airdops Metamask and Opensea

Indeed, the current Metamask users are quite high, 30k users are counted from active users. The mainet system is currently available on the metamask platform. This makes it easier for blockchain developers to work with Metamask. Connection with a decentralized platform also makes Metamask more active compared to other platforms.
If Metamask develops a coin even with much lower transaction fees than others, then Metamask coin will become the target of investors.
IMO, If we take into consideration the Metamask airdrop is highly possible but it is not like the way as Uniswap airdrop was executed, because based on the article they don't want to give such airdrop benefits to those so-called airdrop farmers so I guess it's not that easy to get any Metamask token through airdrop without any stricter condition so let us wait if this Metamask airdrop will push through.
I will be surprised if Metamask airdrop is as big as Uniswap because we have so many Metamask users and also its so easy to create multiple Metamask ETH addresses, they will give away millions to some users, another thing is this airdrop might never happen.

No more information about this airdrop. This airdrop seems still a speculation by so many people , I must also remind you about the strict requirements for the airdrop. In my opinion if people are hooping too much about this airdrop but that's a usual thing as people are also know that if metamask as the best web wallet. Like who will get it when etc? It's good idea I hope it happens.
No information about this. You can only still believe if there will be an airdrop from metamask but this doesn't mean if you can expect ETA for this airdrop to come soon. This is going to be tough, 30 million active users also means one user can have more than 20 wallets, how will they be able to identify those with multiple wallets that can abuse the airdrop. Am sure the team already have a criteria to carry out this task because this is going to be one of the biggest airdrop in crypto history.

maybe in the past all wallets would accept it but if speaking at this time I agree with you it depends on the criteria,

It's very worrisome that many scammers and developers will get a big chunk of the airdrop, scammers have a huge turnover and so are developers and of course, whales will also get the big share, I think the date of registration is better but not the turnover, equal distribution is something the community is looking forward, I hope they can implement a better method that will satisfy the whole community, majority of Crypto investors are Metamask users.

It will better if metamusk launch there own token like uniswap but if they distribute token to 30M active wallet according to your post information then many scammers will get huge token and they will become rich . around 80% people from crypto users use malti wallet from metamusk . i think they should distribute airdrop token to must activate and min a requirement amount of transactions wallet.
You don't have to worry about this because weeks ago a news came out from Metamask dev and he started that Airdroppers shouldn't expect the type of gains they made from uniswap and 1inch from Metamask airdrop, its going to be different and relatives small, I believe they have a plan about the distribution.Meanwhile, I think people are getting prepared for this news by using Metamask because they expect to get the airdrops from Metamask like what they got from uniswap and other projects.

30 million active users is a lot. If everyone is given 100 dollars, then this is already 3 billion. Either there will be a very strict selection of users for the airdrop, or the reward will be small, due to the large number of participants.
Thats kinda huge amount of users for an app, no doubt Metamask is really popular and those who will be eligible for this airdrop are so lucky. I hope those who use metamask that already spent a lot of gas will benefit from this airdrop. 
I think we all saw how TWT airdrop happened, it would be good if the conditions were set and therefore not everyone would benefit from it. However, if it includes every user of the wallet, it may mean identity verification or some additional conditions.
In general, this airdrop will not be valuable and will cause more problems for the project than real financial opportunities for them.

Because this airdrops means free money so no one is harmed by anything used by metamask developers in the distribution mechanism, lucky if the price of the token distributed is high value, because if it is not, even though one user has many wallets who get airdrop tokens they will take into account the gas fee which may rise again in the future thereby preventing the recipient from selling because the token price does not cover the gas fee that must be spent.
