There is no way to know which method the metamask team are going to use for airdrop claiming but I can assure you that it's not going to be fair, they've already mentioned this in the past weeks or so, don't expect too much from this Airdrop.
With more than 30 million monthly active user on metamask (as a wallet) i wonder how will be the filtering and who will be the real metamask user, do you guys have an idea about this?
Its kinda hard to know which way or method they will go but of course they already saw some of the airdrop processes of some dex and wallets out there and Im sure they will consider the criteria on how those users will be given rewards. But speculating it would be based on swap and the activity on metamask done by such wallet history. Who knows. I am sure that if there will be a airdrop for Metamask then it would be the activity of each wallet that can be the main gauge as to qualification and the quantity to be airdropped. Many people have talked on this last year and maybe there will really be one which hopefully I can be one of its many recipients though honestly am more active in Trustwallet than here. Certainly, this can be helping Metamask solidify its leadership in the cryptocurrency market and of course such a move can mean a windfall of possible profits to many of us.
It will better if metamusk launch there own token like uniswap but if they distribute token to 30M active wallet according to your post information then many scammers will get huge token and they will become rich . around 80% people from crypto users use malti wallet from metamusk . i think they should distribute airdrop token to must activate and min a requirement amount of transactions wallet.

In my opinion if there will be a minimum ethereum transactions used by metamask to filter the airdrop participants. I mean you can imagine when metamask was issuing billion tokens and it can be airdropped into so many metamaskusers but yeah this must be based on ethereum network. I think that there are some criterias to receive the metamask airdrop to filter it from the so many spam wallet. The requirements will be quite similar with the airdrop by another platform.
I think that there will be a very strict requirement for that.
