If the token has been launched and also planning to run airdrop my little advise is that since is extension many users might fall prey where there would be phishing and fake token to steal from people using the medium of wallet connection.

Yes it is, I'm very much excited for their airdrop, as their MM Token will be launching soon, and I hope everyone will be enjoying the biggest airdrop of Metamask, I had already completed some of the criteria through which may be I'm eligible for the airdrop in the future, that will give me further benefit as well.

You know, a lot of people are cheating these days, and this affects the quality of their campaign, so to stop the cheaters, they won't give notice in the first place and their purpose is to find users who really want to use their product, not to get rewards. This is a pretty clever way to do it and the rewards are well worth it.
Any resource that you could put out on this one? If MetaMask were to give out airdrops to everyone who has activated or something, I think it would be already accepted everywhere, but the value of it might not be as high as you want it to be.

I guess twitter might be even better source to get any rumour about that. icodrop has been also listing it since 2 years ago. The only problem is people are hoping too much with the airdrop from metamask. i guess it caused by the free money they can get when we are still in the most difficult situation like this. Metamask itself has been getting so many investors and that may enough to be used as operational cost for the development of wallet. Governance token may possible to come but there's no ETA for that.

It's not a surprise, that those projects don't want cheaters to join their campaign, they need people who really want to experience their product and give the best feedback for them to improve their product. Well, there are lots of airdrops happening on the telegram though most of them are just to fish you details by requiring someone to do KYC, while others give a minuscule amount, in rare occasions airdrop gives hundred to thousand of dollars.

That is why be selective on the airdrop you want to participate. There are lots of scam airdrop out there especially in telegram. Always verify the airdrop in their main telegram channel to at least save you from non-paying efforts.

I don't know if there is any definite information, but I think there is no official statement at the moment. But even if there is any airdrop, I think they will give it to those who perform trades on their own networks. Since this information has spread, they may also limit it to a specific date. I doubt this Airdrop will happen because the team said they don't plan on giving out free money some months ago, even if they have a change of mind the reward will be low and limited, not everyone will get it .
Even if the airdrop will be real and then allocation for airdrop will be limited. There might be also tokenomic for that. People are always speculating metamask caused by they always wanna get free money and this is also their way to get money for free from speculating possibility of MM airdrop to happen. I have given up on airdrops because out of over 100 transactions for airdrops in my wallet only very few paid and the reward is not that great. Uniswap and 1inch was life changing for some but not me.
Airdrop is having a big risk to not get paid or your reward would be useless token. IMO wasting our time in airdrop would become a stupid decision. Remember that how many tokens you will receive from airdrop actually depends on how intense your activity in the platform.

We have been using Metamask's wallet service for a long time. But Metamask will now launch its own token. We can expect Metamask token airdrop. We hope it will be a big airdrop like the UNI airdrop.
