don't expect more for an airdrop, it's just luck, unless they justify giving assignments to get airdrop rewards and the distribution date is announced, it's different for airdrops like uniswap, aptos or others that suddenly without any notification it's just luck if you get

Airdrop doesn't make people rich. I have not been rewarded several times in various projects, although my wallet has hundreds of transactions and I have more activity than other users who have received rewards. I don't believe in airdrop honesty. These are free testers for the project.

You are using too old data for your calculations. In March 2022, Consensus reported that MetaMask has over 30 million monthly active users - https://decrypt.co/95039/metamask-consensys-30-million-users And given the increased interest in cryptocurrency among the population, it can be assumed that now the number of active users has increased to 40 million. This rumor is already aged. For me, if this will happen, for sure the worth of their airdrop is not that really huge, like the total amount of it in $ per person that got the airdrop.
And even though there will be an airdrop, for me, there will be some qualifications, not all metamask users will able to get the airdrop.
Metamask is the #1 wallet for Ethereum and other chains right now, so expect that this airdrop is gonna be huge and that will be a challenge for them.

Your analysis seems realistic & convincing that if ever they make airdrop, it won't be fortune changing event for those who receive it. There is another possibility that they will design the criteria in a way that not all active users will be eligible. For example, only those users will be eligible who made transaction on Ethereum network worth $5k & above or who paid transaction fee at least 1 Ethereum. Whatever comes out of the bag, but I think this time they are serious to launch their own token because their competitor Trust wallet has done so successfully, and investors are moving their funds to decentralized exchanges after the collapse of FTX. You are right, this is aggregator of many exchangers. This bridge is still in beta phase and far from perfection. I also transferred funds from polygon to Ethereum chain. It took more than 15 minutes to complete the transaction which was more than what I had expected. You should have token worth $30 (minimum limit) to make transaction.

We don't know the criteria of airdrop & when it will happen, but I think we should continue using their bridge and swap to be eligible for airdrop.

I read in the following article that indeed Joe Lubin has hinted on several occasions that there is a token in the works, but it really just hints only and no reliable source has confirmed the existence of a possible airdrop for Metamask beforehand, you should take the news from the official social media of Metamask and beware of Scammers, I believe that people who will Swap Tokens on MetaMask or use the MetaMask Bridge and some steps will be eligible to get Metamask airdrop in the future. If it's an Airdrop, of course it doesn't guarantee that it really pays, but if you pay then you're safe.
