Myetherwallet is very safe to use.  I've been using MEW for a while now with no issues.  Just be careful of phishing websites, there's a lot of them in  Slack.  Always bookmark Myetherwallet to be safe.
Yes, this is the worst thing about this wallet and blockchain.info as well. I think that MEW is an extremely safe wallet, you just have to make sure you won't lose your private keys and other things which can activate your wallet. As you probably know, blockchain.info is already accepting eth as well, but I would say mew is a lot safer and more reliable, even though I hold my btc on blockchain website.

MEW is very safe and secure, as long as you keep your private key safe. If you are still concerned, consider coinbase as they secure your funds up to 250K. Sure, it's still a far cry from the safety/security of your bank account probably but there are always risks with storing your crypto in this environment. The safest would be to just invest in a hardware wallet such as a Ledger or trezor.

Just always Check the Green bar on Address bar when you are Using Online MEW

The original Myetherwallet now uses the Greenbar SSL

Bookmark the site . and don't be scared as long that your the only one who holds your
private key.

Is it safe to store several thousands worth of eth and tokens in there? I want to create the offline version but im not really sure how to do that?

If no one can get my key, am i safe then? Or can it get hacked? I kinda hate this side of the game really. With all these ahole hackers.
Yes, my etherwallet or MEW is very much safe, and this is base in my experience in using it up to now. Just make sure you save your private key or password unto it. Or else you might gonna be hack by someone else out there which you didn't know.

It's very safe as long as you take the appropriate measures to keep your account secure. Have a secure password and back everything up in case your PC goes kaboom.

You will never be safe with that basic security, atleast  buy hardware wallet which compatible to use with MEW, by that you'll have potential of saving thousands dollar while "wasting" few dollars for a hardware wallet.
by recent phishing attack which targetted to MEW users, you need to really careful when trying to visit MEW and always check their SSL and address.

yes it is more safe if you do not share your private key to anyone that's it. you just create your MEW account and print your private key  and then save it in your safe place. even then you are totally safe.

I currently safed it on my pc... since i used it quite a bit... I also realised no matter whaty wallet u have. It remains all in cyberspace. When u have a trezor or whatever that doesnt mean the coins are actually in that trezor...

Well I haven't used myetherwallet before but I created a wallet just to play around with it. So just like any wallets out there, you need to save your ETH wallet, Private Key and your Password to a safe and secured location.

Question though:

Is it safe to used just 1 wallet in joining the bounties? Let's say I joined a bounty and it finished today and I want to join another, it is safe to create another wallet for the 2nd bounty or just used the the previous wallet? Will there be any complications if tokens come from 2 different ICO's? Can 1 myetherwallet handled 2 different tokens?

Whether you will be hacked or not depends on you rather than my ether wallet, if you can't store your private key or key store file you may be hacked.

Yes MyEtherWallet can be used by everyone by creating a new wallet in their website. Generate a private key/passphrase and then use it. I prefer to use Mist wallet though and sometimes I have problems with the block syncing. It takes forever to sync and I have to wait for the syncing to complete before I can do any transactions. There comes in MEW - I can upload the Mist JSON keystore file there and use the password to unlock it. Then I can send transactions and view my tokens there without having to do a full sync from MEW itself.

Thus I recommend you to try out both and see which one works out for you. I do hope in future there is something like Electrum for Ethereum as well.

yea it is safe to store several thousands worth of eth or token in myetherwallet. but you must be more careful .none can access your account without your private key. so keep the key and file in safe place.and dont click on the phishing site link. always bookmark the correct link in your browser. And now a days most of the projects slack has some spammers they pm phishing site link so be careful also it.

Create a strong password backup your key file on a USB and put it in a safe place. Don't safe any password locally on your computer in case you ever get hacked. Create multiple wallets to spread your risk.

In addition to this, don't ever lose your private key or your seed. Even if you lose your device. Keep your private key safe and remember to create paper wallet for your offline coin!

Myetherwallet is really safe to use until you get some issues while sending money.. At least its quite safe to deposit your money. You should create more than 1 mew files I suppose, you said you are gonna deposit dozens of tokens so its safer to use more wallets. If one is hacked, others are gonna stay safe so.

I haven't heard of mew ? I do know myether wallet is legit and everyone always recommends it. It let's you use a private key and a whole bunch of other options.

To answer your question yes if someone gets your private key they have access to your eth so look after it or better yet keep it offline. You can also keep your private keys on a usb stick and  plug it in when you need to gain access  to your wallet. Make sure you keep back ups of it.
It was created and connected with ethereum. I know that devs created this site just to have a private key and some wallet for your ethereum and some token that is ethereum platform.

Mew is suppose to be secure if you take all pre-caution very seriously. You can learn how to store your coin in pslaper wallet . I think it is pretty easy to do that. You can also send  coin offline if you are sending a lot of coin. That been said. security of your coin depend on you. The price for your security in crypto or in life is eternal vigilance!
