Is it safe to store several thousands worth of eth and tokens in there? I want to create the offline version but im not really sure how to do that?

If no one can get my key, am i safe then? Or can it get hacked? I kinda hate this side of the game really. With all these ahole hackers.

I have been using myetherwallet for a while now and never had a problem. But in my case, i never stored too much there. It was only 3-4 Eth.

When I had a lot of Eth which I sold, i kept all of them in Coinbase because their accounts are insured if something happens.

As long as all info to access your account in MEW is safe (Keystore file, Private Key, Mnemonic Phrase etc.), your balance is safe as well. There are several phishing sites popping up lately so always double check the URL before unlocking your wallet.

Yes, this is what i actually wanted to know as well with the ledger nano s. Cause i need to store all my tokens as well. So all tokens that can be stored in MEW can be stored in the ledger nano as well? Tx.
As MEW supports Ledger Nano S, you can send/receive all Tokens listed there using the device. This is a good read on How to use MyEtherWallet with Ledger

It should be safe but if I had your amounts I would buy a trezor and store it there.

You can make offline wallet with MEW... no one can access it because the private key was never exposed to the internet..

My ether wallet is a safe wallet for etheriam coin.
My ether wallet is safe and secured. I have been using this for a long time and my coins are still intact. Atleast save your private keys and dont leave it behind.

Well, if you have several thousand ETH, then you can easily afford a hardware wallet.  I'd recommend a Ledger and go totally offline.  Ledger allows you backup to a paper wallet as well.

You need to be very careful about phishing sites.  I really recommend you buy a hardware wallet like the ledger nano s, which is compatible with MEW.  Yes you can use MEW safely but you need to be very careful.  IMO the only good option is to have a hardware wallet.

I haven't heard of mew ? I do know myether wallet is legit and everyone always recommends it. It let's you use a private key and a whole bunch of other options.

To answer your question yes if someone gets your private key they have access to your eth so look after it or better yet keep it offline. You can also keep your private keys on a usb stick and  plug it in when you need to gain access  to your wallet. Make sure you keep back ups of it.

Actually they are the same thing. MEW is acronym for MyEtherWallet.

I think you can store any ETH there, but you sould be smart and careful enough not to compromise any detail of your wallet, just like with any other crypto wallet...

i do not use any ethereum wallets because i do not trust any of them. because i do not trust any of the ethereum developers one bit, they have proven to be bad at what they are doing in my experience. and that will be a huge risk to store something that was created by them in a wallet coded by them.

remember recently the multi million dollar worth of ETH tokens that were hacked from one of the major ETH wallets created by the same people? and that was their multi signature wallet!
