I have lost my phone two days ago

I contacted mexc to secure my account

They froze my account..I managed to get back

Email and sim card they asked to many requests which answered now they ask to tell all holdings Tokens how can I do that ..i uploaded Id selfie still insisnt not to unfreeze account. Is this fraud This is not helping at all
Sorry for your loss (phone). As you have lost your phone and have been told to lock the account of your account to secure your holding funds there now you should try to contact them and ask how to recover your account and use the account smoothly. If you have made a mistake in locking the account you could change the password, and email of that account which could prevent any loss.

Yes they can, they are centralized exchanges and they can do anything and you can't object, that's what centralized exchanges are. They can block you for no reason or for the most trivial reasons.

There are many stories like this about people whose accounts were frozen for unknown reasons under the pretext of suspicious activity or even for political reasons, as happened with some Russian citizens, or as happened recently with the Palestinians, whose accounts were frozen by Binance for no reason.

When you create an account with a centralized exchange, you agree to all their T&Cs. But if you agree without reading all their T&C then it's your fault, their claim to modify T&C without informing their customers is definitely bad practice. But what you are claiming about T&C modification is there any solid proof that they actually modified, and if you are making this claim without any proof then it is baseless. Each centralized exchange reserves the right to recheck the account of any of its customers at any time.

Appreciate the reply and understood on T&C. I'm not claiming they are, it is my understanding that IF they are able to that can be seen the same as if they did. I'm not upset they checked my account because if they do the same for everyone it makes the space a better place. What concerns me is per their terms they are judge, jury and executioner. MEXC stated my account had abnormal transactions and if it did so be it but when I ask for proof of these violations they refuse. Would be different story if they supplied evidence for their allegations but they don't. By these standards MEXC can accuse any user of anything at any time and take all their money without providing proof if they wanted to.
If they check your account for abnormal transactions, let them check, and post an update of their decision after their investigation is complete. As long as they keep holding your funds without any proper explanation and proof then surely they will continue to be discussed and their reputation will go down in the crypto community. And that would not be good news for the exchange at all.

It's really sad that your funds are stuck on their platform, I hope you get your funds back without any problem.

i had the same problem before you just have to say what coins you had or the ones you used the most
it will be easy to answer
i didnt remember what coins i had when i lost my phone but i just said i used mostly to swap this token THEN THEY ASKED ME FOR A VIDEO SELFIE WITH THE DATE   and they unfreezed the account in few hours

but if you are talking to the customer support in this attitude then you are just making it hard for yourself



and honestly everyone who answered here is with a signature ADS and almost saying the same this Forum became a joke honestly because of this Signatures farmers
No wonder why Bitcointalk dropped in search results and the traffic is indecline the content is trash

That does not sound like a scam because you were the one who told Mexc to freeze your account and now you cannot back up the claim that that account belongs to you. You really put yourself into a pickle here... The only way out is to think of another way to prove that that account belongs to you. Maybe find you phone, if possible.

So no, it is not fraud. But you will have to comply with doing the KYC and AML procedure.

If english is not your first language and you seek assistance, we have local boards with people who can help you out with your issue.

You lost your phone shouldn't denied you access to your account, if you're the actual bearer of the account then you should first go and do a sim card welcome back, from there you could receive any login confirmation request to your exchange account through the sim card or via your email address, but contacting them without anything to show ownership could be at risk on them as well, you may have a twin brother that you both look alike and want to steal from you or even someone else you don't know and have a resemblance like you, so don't expect sending them selfie solved anything in trying to verify ownership of account.

Honestly, no one can help you out with your concern here but everyone who's looking into your case concerning your situation will just give the idea on how they've gone through with the same situation if ever they've met that before. Sorry about that OP but since you've sent your details to them and you've asked them to block your account due to unforeseen situation of losing your phone. Didn't they give any next procedure on what you should do aside from waiting and verifying everything that it is the actual you have requested to block your account and now trying to unblock it as the situation becomes neutral again. Another thing is you should have your credentials recorded somewhere else so you can basically back it up when the same situation happens since it's just going to require you your login details and if activated, your 2FA.

Eh, what do you want to hear? You ask them, they did they have been told. So what are the steps you already made that they require you to answer. The asking of number of tokens or holding is pretty normal you can just tell the estimates and tell them that you don't remember the specifics. This is i expect that you knew the login details of your account so they won't be suspicious to you as impersonator.

And what exactly are you expecting from us, since Mexc doesn't have their official thread here? All that we can tell you is to be more patient as things like this takes more time than 2 days to sort out, and that you should be more careful with your phone.

You should feel relieved if the verification process stops at that step, their policy for recovering frozen accounts will even ask you to prepare a police report (if they categorize this freeze as login credential theft).

You must provide proof of police acceptance of the case within 48 hours of submitting the supporting documents. If you fail to provide the appropriate proof, MEXC will unfreeze the frozen assets or accounts as appropriate.

It doesn't look like fraud to me. The problem could be that you are not asking the right question.

I think your direct question to the community should be how should you give them the information to all your holding tokens as you mentioned above like a snapshot of it. To answer, you can do this if you can do this if you can log into your account.
