We are very satisfied with these units.  We have the mid tier M31s.

If anyone knows where to find any of  these units in stock, please share.

Well, if it sounds too good to be true...

Did some more digging. Might be legit: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/beware-of-whatsminernet-5028653.

Considering the current price and availability of Bitmain's S19's...... this has popped up on my radar https://whatsminer.net/product/m31splus-80t-presale-april2021/

M31s+

and it available a whole lot sooner.

But I've only run Bitmain gear and have no experience with MicroBT gear.  Just looking at one unit, so I can run a circuit just for that with the higher watts/amps.

Edit: but now I'm seeing different websites. Whatsminer.net vs .com.    Oh, the fun of navigating scam sites

Yea, but it's also odd to be concerned on ROI with gear with a kwh rate that high.

Could be he just was fixing on an older time.

It is pretty much a 1-5 cent a kwatt game now.

A 10 cent a kwatt home miner is doing so for reasons other than profit.

Am I totally miscalculating or will these ASICs never break even? I just used whattomine for the 30S++ at 10 cents and the breakeven is at about 21 years.

Bitcoin mining is no longer profitable on 'normal' / typical home electric rates. Unless you have free power or extremely cheap power, you would never break even. If Bitcoin sees a huge bull-run (significant increase in price) this could change of course but it seems the days of profitable mining at home are over.

used to be 10 cent mining ⛏ was okay.

as you see it is not.

this gear takes longer  then a year with 5 cent power.

10 cent mining is not viable at this time due to price of Bitcoin and recent halving.

Yeah both my p20 psu's rated for 3300 watts died.

they were replaced with p21s psu rated for 3600 watts.

I would just prefer to run all this gear at 3000 watts.

Rather then push like they do.

Sounds like you have a different way of specifying cable diameters. In this country we refer to cable by the cross-section of the conductors in mm. I used 2.5mm cable for my Whatsminers which is rated at 25A. In theory this is plenty to run at 3750w but I don't feel comfortable with the miners running that fast constantly.

so unlikely to cause any issues with the wiring however even with my high voltage this is slightly over the 16A rating of the connectors.
Folks - the C19/C20 connectors can be rated up to 19 amps - not 16A.

That said, it all depends on the wire size used on the cord: Per the IEC ratings using 'normal' 14/16ga cords yes the limit is 16A however with 12ga cords it then goes up to 19A - that is in most countries outside of North America. In the US and possibly Canada the rating remains at 16A. In short, use a heavy gauge cord and the connectors are fine.

As to if the PSU's can handle nearly 4kw, thass another story...

I don't run at 3750 watts, that is only in 'high power' mode. I tried it to see what it does, and it appears to run them literally as fast as they can go. I was seeing 89T on some of them (7T over rated) and pushing 3750w.

I run in 'normal' mode, which seems to be fine with power ratings well within spec:

The one running at 54T has a faulty hashboard.

Mine are

m10
m20

it annoys me that they did not target 3000 watts for normal

as the margin of error would be 3000/205 = 14.7 amps easy peasy on gear.

they could give a higher setting  actually four settings

2400 watts for efficient
3000 watts for low
3300 watts for normal
3600 watts for high

Be careful of your gear on long term runs at 3750 watts.

I have been mining since 2012 and you can get in a zone that seems good but in reality you are just exceeding the true safety of your parts.

If this is so you could see fails in months 3-5 as the ever so slight over watts is like fine sand paper slowly but surely wearing out a wire's coating.

A better example are marble steps that wear out over a long time decades before it shows.

The new ones all insist on running a c19 to c20 connection at very high watts.  3472 watts / 208 volts = 16.6 amps  constant run on 20 amp connections that rate   16 amp constant run.

Pisses me off that   they simply refuse to build them safely.   3472 watts = 5% = 3645 watts / 208 = 17.5 amps constant run on a 20 amp connection that rates 16 amp constant run.

Interesting... I have 24 x M31S+ 82T and I find that they ALL run 10% higher than their quoted power consumption. Further, in high power mode (which I don't use), some of them draw as much as 3750w. My voltage is good (around 243-244 volts) otherwise this would be a serious problem. I am using custom power leads (made from 2.5mm flex and bulgin connectors) on 20a breakers, so unlikely to cause any issues with the wiring however even with my high voltage this is slightly over the 16A rating of the connectors.

Likely the psu's will struggle again but mBT has considerably less RMA and seems to work to fix these in a reasonable amount of time for later batches.
