Today 17 April 2020 MicroBT announces the fourth generation of their WhatsMiner Hardware.

M30S++:
  • Hashing Power: 112 TH
  • Power Consumption: 3472 W
  • Efficiency: 31 J/T
  • Price: 3899 $

M30S+:
  • Hashing Power: 100 TH
  • Power Consumption: 3400 W
  • Efficiency: 34 J/T
  • Price: 2740 $

How positive are you about these prices? $1000 for a difference of 3j/T and 12TH does not look reasonable to me.

lol anyone who orders this is a moron.  s19 same specs.. actually ship when they say vs whatsminer last year, 2 power cords instead of 1 (able to run on a pdu that way) and less money.  Literally NO benefit of these miners over a s19.

I agree prices are high in compression to S19, Bitmain almost always had the best combination of price, efficiency, and delivery over Microbt, but there is a very important factor which most of us seem to be ignoring and that is QUALITY, some people are reporting up to 25% attrition rate for the S17, and given these gears are still new and we don't have much data, the real numbers are undoubtedly worse, I have literally had over 50% of the last a great I bought from Bitmain fail, I have a room full of dead hashboards from different bitmain models, I don't even want to talk about the antmienr S9k, on the other hand, I gave Microbt a shot and went with the S21s and I got to say I love the quality of these gears.

If you search the internet you will notice that a dozen people have a truckload of issues with all different kinds of Bitmain gears, but you seldom find someone who complains about Microbt quality.

The one year warranty is awesome, but is that only for preorder?

Agree that's pretty cool that they are offering one whole year of warranty, it shows that they really believe in the hardware they built. I think as i remember correctly the warranty is not just for the preorders but for every order. (i'm not 100% positive tho)

Thanks for follow up.
I would not mind having a few.

I have a few m20s   one does 68 other does 40
I have a few m21s  they do 53th
I had 10 m10 now 2 one does 22 other does 28

I had 2 m3   now gone

They all tend to run hot on top speed setting.

Support was so so from pangolin.

The new ones all insist on running a c19 to c20 connection at very high watts.  3472 watts / 208 volts = 16.6 amps  constant run on 20 amp connections that rate   16 amp constant run.

Pisses me off that   they simply refuse to build them safely.   3472 watts = 5% = 3645 watts / 208 = 17.5 amps constant run on a 20 amp connection that rates 16 amp constant run.

I fear having 20 of these since  a meltdown is pretty likely.

My power is pretty tight at 218 to 228 which is a bit better

3472/218 = 15.9 amps this is barely legal to do according to code in New Jersey
3645/218 = 16.7 amps this is not code.

I really would like a 3000 watt or less unit  if they insist on the c19 to c20 connection.

That's one of the many screenshots that i took during the announcement livestream, i don't think it was posted in alot of places that they were doing it. Maybe that's way there isn't much info about it.

Yeah, those are both pages that I already found. But as you said, it could be insider info. I will wait for official one for now.

does not seem to list the 30s++

but I am assuming he was given insider info as I have seen this happen at times with the m10 and the m20

I did find a page with the 31s+

and better prices would be needed to sell product.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think M30S 88T was announced in December. However, it's good to see that it is finally being released.

Also, I cannot find official announcement from them (when I do, I'll give you merit).

And on Whatsminer's website from 30 generation, I only see:
M30S
M31S
M31S+

Also, I do not like their pricing AT ALL. It's even more aggressive than Bitmain's.

The m30s++ is too much money  compared to the s19 pro

I did like the article.
