I found it a bit odd we have RealSolid refusing to show his face publicly
while at the same time showing a renewed interest in Crypto projects.
And at the same time.. surprise a reboot of mcxNOW by an allegedly new person.
What are the odds ?

People that tip-toe around are often the loudest !

I have known many loud obnoxious people in my life, friends, family & room-mates etc
And they will for example ALWAYS stomp around making a noisy production of things.
So their sneaking around becomes apparent in a hurry..
And i laugh because the morons think they are being all clever & shit.

RealSolid your "silence" is deafening buddy  Cheesy

I have always said "they" don't leave..
"They" simply hide / change names etc

So when i see topics like this or when i see new activity with Baritus etc
You can clearly see these guys caught up in scammy drama NEVER LEAVE !

AND ..who is making all those thousands of coins ?

Summary ? Initial distribution + who made it and their History.
I have harped endlessly since day one we SHOULD all "ask" those questions ASAP.
Apparently = FUD or Trolling.
But i have never said Do NOT invest in say.. an iGotSpots coin for example.
If he had some drama well.. what ever put it on the table and make your decisions or choices.

I see it simply as a getting to know your situation, players and history type of thing..
to base your potential support on !

I criticized XYZ coin ? And ask who is behind it ?
Do i demand a perfect history ? NO.
But we can't make a proper informed decision unless we ask the tough / pertinent questions.
I wouldn't actually even EXPECT people to take & use my trade advice either.
Do what ya all want.. i don't care.. i even frequently wish you all luck on what ever coin your trading.

Take Memory Coin for example.. it showed the Dev bailing on his coin more than once..
making announcements he is pulling the plug on it.. then he posted the Protoshares ANN topic.
Making it sound for ages like he made it.. with how he replied to every comment for 10 pages.
Then he abruptly stopped calling me a FUD'ing Troll when i was hitting him with Questions about Memory Coin's past.
(he literally said word for word, it was irrelevant)
I think he realized i had him cornered bad on his PTS ANN launch..
So he swiftly changed the Protoshares ANN topic title and description to "Made by Invictus Innovations"
Which i found hilarious because CLEARLY PTS was a mod and continuation from the same dev who coded Memory Coin
duh ..it was obvious.
But he flip flopped on the spot claiming he just posted the coin (user = FreeTrade)
saying he had nothing to do with making it..
And i said why is it no one on Earth ever heard of Invictus Innovations until i confronted you about MemoryCoin ?
That is one hell of a coincidental debut of a company ROFL

What ? FreeTrade stopped making coins after MemoryCoin ? NOT BLOODY LIKELY.. HE CHANGED NAMES !

Sort of like Gliss did with CoinMarketCap.. crying Troll / FUD (only to admit i was right LATER)
FreeTrade *at first* went on and on about how i was Trolling saying his past history doesn't matter.
But it does !
If a dev has a chronic habit of CLOSING his coin on his supporters then YES indeed i think it very much matters.
AND.. WHY did FreeTrade "close" MemoryCoin ?
Because he lost centralized majority control ..HE SAID !
So hmm..
What does BitShares and Protoshares shit have now ?
Centralized power / control ?

They think they can swap account names and deny it's them.. but that is not nearly enough  Cool

AND..

At the end of the day you all still want to invest in what ever coin..then fine.. DO IT !
But fair warning is FAIR !
And yeah a BAD history DOES matter.

anyway LOL
.. BCX you need to update your SIG for the Year 2016 now Wink

Yes, I remember SolidCoin literally the original scamcoin. It is the one case I know of where someone actually pirated software under the MIT license. https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT, and was subject of a legitimate DMCA takedown notice. Pirating software under the MIT license can be done but it takes a real effort as a scammer.

Vanillacoin is another one that is violating the MIT license. There haven't been any DMCA takedowns yet but it will only take some Bitcoin developer to decide to bother before it happens.

With ETH, etc. bringing new money into the scene now, it is inevitable that scams will follow, just as they did in 2011 and 2013.

The other case I know, involving pirated FLOSS and DMCA takedowns, was the MPAA pirating a version of Ubuntu, about 9 years ago, and also being the subject of a DMCA takedown notice; however in that case it was GPL code that was the subject of the DMCA takedown.

Edit: At one point I looked into selling SolidCoin short, and there is an old post in BCT where I inquired about the possibility.

I totally forgot about that part of the episode.

It was a fairly lengthy discussed argument back in the day.

It was indeed literally the first shitcoin designed to do nothing more than separate idiots from their BTC.

Anyone remember Solidcoin, Coinhunter or Realsolid of mcxNOW fame?

Five years ago he collected a bunch of BTC from donors to finish a much hyped alt coin called Microcash.

Long story made short, after collecting several thousand BTC from donors (approximately $10/BTC at the time) he disappeared.

A few months later he resurfaced claiming he was hacked but nonetheless launched mcxNOW days later.

We all know how mcxNOW ended.

Now it appears he may be back.

The user Pineapple tells us that Realsolid is launching Microcash here

According to the Global Mod Hilariousandco Realsolid is not banned in this forum so I am curious as to why he wouldn't announce it himself.

Finally does anyone think this newest venture by Realsolid is legit?
