Sorry to RANT on super long on your topic here..
As always i assume if people want to read it they will (or just ignore me)
I felt what i wanted to say was highly related to YOUR topic here.. which is why i brought up that stuff.

There used to be a time when a guys bad reputation / history meant something.
People just don't care anymore and it's shocking watching the entire scene change / morph (for the worse)

But can a guy who made mistakes change his ways and maybe deserve another chance ?
Ya sure why not..
But i'm guessing we'd all have to check out the details / circumstances.
Pineapples had said hopefully RealSolid learned his lesson.. has he ?
Really ? what exactly would give you that indication ?
To sum it up i think he's had some "incidents" then vanished repeatedly.
So that doesn't sound to me like he learned anything.. other than it's good to go into hiding.

I wish people would strive for some integrity in Crypto.
Because i see the downfall if ALL 100% of users all have this i will just support a *little* shitcoins to make a couple bucks.
This collectively is in fact a Tsunami of bad behavior when it's combined together as one large force.
If the majority does not push to do the right thing i think Crypto is doomed for complete failure.
And each guy just says well i did only a little but that little added up all together is death warrant on crypto longer term.

It's funny i have eluded to my motivations for years now and people miss it..
All people *hear* is "do the right thing" by Spoetnik
They think i am a crypto-evangelist LOL
Guys i want the scene to be legit so i have a fair chance at making some money myself too Wink
I can't if DUMB impatient greedy users ruin the entire crypto scene though..

I see it as i want to get $100 out of the ATM machine eventually and i am waiting patiently
but all i see is kids with crowbars trying to break into it for quarters or dimes !
And i keep yelling at them fuck guys STOP or people will stop putting money in the ATM !
..they all just lip me off and keep prying away on the machine.

unless someone is part of his scam, how would anyone know if hes back? microcash is going to end like everything else he touched. sadly as long as a couple of guys can make profit, bad intentions or a scam history are irrelevant.

@Spotetnik

Excellent post

@Pineapples

microcash

Nearly 5 years in the making, MicroCash seems nearly ready to hit the light of day with it's recent Alpha release 2.
The main developer Real Solid has finally come out of his closet with juices flowing.

The above is from the second sentence in your ANN thread for the new Microcash.

That alone should raise real concerns?

Is Realsolid back?

Interesting.
What concerns me is it seems now a days it means nothing to have a bad history.

Here here on that!

I put almost as much effort into "doing the right thing" as I do development and I've still had a lot of kick back in the past.

Not that I'm complaining, it's just the way it goes, and I'd rather have a clean conscience.  But it is quite annoying when not many others take the same attitude yet reap the rewards regardless!

I would consider my self to be good at spotting the bad guy.
If you mean well your intentions are honest i think FUD etc is not much of a problem to overcome.
Usually when i see someone crying FUD it's because critical questions were asked..
And then it seems like some coin dev is insulted that we did not all assume his project is LEGIT
given the context of the altcoin-scene as a whole i think the days of getting the benefit of the doubt are long gone.

it's really simple..
Got a legit project ?
Tough questions get asked ?
Well suck it up & answer them.. and move on.
I can provide examples of how this plays out just fine too.

The ones that get evasive and shady about answering the questions have me red flagging them.
Risto the Monero super star Millionaire (not a Monero Team Member) highlights my point nicely here..
Re: Monero Economy Workgroup - The MEW Thread

A guy asked what happened to the money ? (he had donated to)
that guy was accused of FUD'ing because he asked.. how dare he ask the mighty Risto ? the nerve huh ?
Let's not forget Monero dev's etc claimed David Latapie and Risto / Reptiela were NOT a part of the Monero team !
So what does that link show ?
It shows those two guys (with other Monero problems) being caught collecting Monero donation funds with no accountability.
AND controlling what and where it's spent.. then when confronted they get mouthy about it..
attacking people that dare challenge what they do.. AKA: FUD / Trolling
What did Risto do ?
I was blown away big time !
David Latapie had collected all the funds then vanished for months holding control of the Monero team money
who was given to dev's of course  Roll Eyes
Then we see Risto admitting he took it upon himself to spend the money on what ever he felt like..
which would explain why he got snappy / defensive LOL
He decided that money donated and ear-marked for adoption etc was to be used for what he called
a "powerful asset" for adoption.. what was it ?
A 2nd forum game he started at Bitcointalk "Retro Virtual City" (paid advertising i had reported as spam yet denied by mods)
Where i have already pointed out how he told me specifically on Poloniex chat before he had made $1,000's
on his first forum game.. so was it an "powerful adoption asset" ? or a way for him to start a money making scheme ?
And to my amazement he got mouthy when confronted if he had gotten anyone's permission for that forum game..
He said no.. he just did it because "he wanted to"
Guess who controls Monero boys & girls ?
And what is with David Latapie during those months of hiding ? (where he said he was not hiding)
i posted he admitted he was.. what was he up to ?
Please review my "Monero Police french fraud topic"
Where i might add again he was said to be NOT a part of the "Monero team"
Yet he clearly is.. AND i also have a PM from a dev with Monero who called him a team member LOL

FUD is a mighty big problem for those who have a lot to hide LOL

And my negative rating here is because supposedly i had lied about the French Police fraud thing
when all i did was post David Latapie' quote where he made the biggest online apology i ever seen
..to the Monero community (for fucking them over then hiding) which he wasn't doing (but was) ROFL

Few people have cried TROLL & FUD more than Monero guys here.

Interesting.

Users simply ponder.. will XYZ coin make me profits ?
If the answer is YES then..

Trend wise i watched the majority of the altcoin scene 2014'ish hang around
blatantly supporting ANY shit coin or clone etc
ALL of these users at Bitcointalk simply said so what who cares.. i want profit.
And on rare occasions they would actually try and argue that clones were in fact "good for crypto"
Such as this idiocy..
Coindesk - Why We Need All The Altcoins We Can Get

NOW ?

Those masses / hoards of users either left (dumping) or went into hiding and long stopped defending shit coins.

BUT !

They are still here..

And now new users (greedy brats & idiots) are joining in with the sleazy greedy "self-destrucive" trading behavior.
I had argued with a douche named Romes on IRC who bragged about supporting over 600+ coins last couple years.
He also bends over backwards to play dumb when the chance arises (when he will look bad)
Then tries to loiter around crypto being a veteran since the start of Cryptsy etc. (playing Good-Guy know it all)
Is he unique ?
HELL NO !
This is symptomatic of the entire scene.

It's gotten deceitful and outright vulgar beyond comprehension
and new users will not get that at all..
I have said that for a couple years but it means something now more than ever.
How many of these guys cried i got hacked ?
RealSolid, Baritus.. Cryptsy ?
Almost every exchange had some hacks drama etc (i listed 8 or 9 of them recently with a total of 1 billion usd stolen)

I had to quit trading because these centralized exchanges were clearly screwing with users & the funds.
If you can't seamlessly move coins from exchange to exchange with out mysterious problems
where your coins vanish for 12 or 24 hrs then the system is BROKEN !
THIS is why i quit trading.. i couldn't do it anymore i tried but kept getting screwed.
Some coin would be pumped and your coins you sent would not show up at the 2nd exchange until the pump was long over.
Then the coins kept coming.. 7000+ ? seriously ? We REALLY need more ?
The excuses for the next one got weaker & weaker.
And YOU HAVE TO follow along with what ever coin is trending or you can't make money pretty much. (i have delisted coins still)
And that is a big problem.. obviously.

Now more than ever it's getting super dangerous investing in Altcoins..
and using their centralized services that comply with US law / Fed's !

I don't think the Altcoin scene is attracting honest crypto supporters anymore.
So what does this mean for a new RealSolid coin ?
It would quite likely be a success if he can tie in a good gimmick.
These users still here at Bitcointalk don't care about a bad history from coin dev's.
Will this new coin make me money ? ..that is the only question asked.

Anyone remember Solidcoin, Coinhunter or Realsolid of mcxNOW fame?

Five years ago he collected a bunch of BTC from donors to finish a much hyped alt coin called Microcash.

Long story made short, after collecting several thousand BTC from donors (approximately $10/BTC at the time) he disappeared.

A few months later he resurfaced claiming he was hacked but nonetheless launched mcxNOW days later.

We all know how mcxNOW ended.

Now it appears he may be back.

The user Pineapple tells us that Realsolid is launching Microcash here

According to the Global Mod Hilariousandco Realsolid is not banned in this forum so I am curious as to why he wouldn't announce it himself.

Finally does anyone think this newest venture by Realsolid is legit?
