Hey guys I got this idea I would like your feedbacks.

I'd like to add a method to share your Minera configs to the community, I mean the miner config you use to run your devices.

From the settings page I'll add a button to share your current config, this config (without of course the pools setting) will be moderated by me and stored in a centralised server (getminera.com).

When a user will be in trouble find the correct config for his/her devices he/she will be able to search in this common repository to find one suitable from those published by users. Config repository will be published in getminera.com website but also in every Minera system, a couple of clicks to copy/import the right config and start mining.

What do you think about this?

That would be great.

I had a similar idea awhile back for a website where you can store your configs and use the URL to download the config on the fly. I saw either cgminer or cgwatcher could pull from a URL directly for the config.

Any help using the Zue fork on cgminer?

I have 5 blizzards that mine using it completely fine! works like a charm with basically 100% up-time! now i try to add my hurricaine to the mix and it keeps shutting it down for some reason! even if i try using it on its own without the blizzards AND if i was to use the blizzards with it!

current extra options are as follows: --zeus-chips 6 --zeus-clock 348  --zeus-options /dev/ttyUSB5,64,348,

im not sure how to find witch USB the hurricaine is running on but 0 through to 4 is running on my blizzards so 5 is a good estimate?

my manual options are as follows:

--scrypt
--log-file
"scan-serial" : [
"/dev/ttyUSB0",
"/dev/ttyUSB1",
"/dev/ttyUSB2",
"/dev/ttyUSB3",
"/dev/ttyUSB4"
"/dev/ttyUSB5"
],
"zeus-options" : [
"/dev/ttyUSB0,6,348",
"/dev/ttyUSB1,6,348",
"/dev/ttyUSB2,6,348",
"/dev/ttyUSB3,6,348",
"/dev/ttyUSB4,6,348",
"/dev/ttyUSB5,64,348"

it still mines perfectly fine on just the 5 blizzards BUT the hurricaine still keeps failing on me! any help would be much appreciated on setting it up!

hurricane has 64 chips and you can find out your USB port nr. if you go to your /dev directory and just list it (ls).
I had to use the command above to get the Hurri working with cgminer (Starminer port)...look up my post above...

@michelem - Did Dmax CGminer get fixed in 3.4.0. I am still running on 3.2.0 with my fury/blizzard farm. Thanks

If you are speaking about the Dmaxl issues with gridseed/zeus no he didn't still fix it.

Hi michelem,

got some problem to send you PM.
Find below the stats. I just removed my pools data Smiley.

Cheers JMan7777

Thank you, but how I was supposed Bfgminer API doesn't return frequency neither temperature with Zeus. We should ask to nwools or luke if it's possible to be added.

Bye the way: The GUI is not showing the temperature and frequency of the miner but maybe this is coming hopefully in the next releases  Wink.

Please can you send me (PM) your bfgminer stats? So I can see if frequency and temperature are displayed and where. If bfgminer shows them I can get em on Minera too.

Simply point your browser to: http:///minera/index.php/app/api?command=miner_stats and save or copy/paste the results.

Many thanks!

Hi,

just in case someone has a Zeus Thunder X3 as I have.

I run pretty good (30-31 Mh/s) with:

- BFGminer
  + Guided:
      * Enabled scrypt
      * Disabled auto detection, logging, debugging
  + Extra options:
       -S zeusminer:all --set zeusminer:chips=128 --set zeusminer:clock=333 --set zeusminer:ignore_golden_nonce=1

Happy mining.

Finally some movement, got it working with bfgminer

-S zus:all --set zus:chips=128 --set zus:clock=200 --scrypt

now getting 17mh + with 5% errors

Thanks for the replies, still no luck :-(

Tried miner command guided

without superuser

--scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-clock 200 --zeus-chips 128
--zeus-clock 200 --zeus-chips 128

tried the manual options

--scrypt --scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-clock 200 --zeus-chips 128
--scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-clock 200 --zeus-chips 128
--zeus-clock 200 --zeus-chips 128

Have you tried the clock speed at 200 for minera?
Start there and see if it behaves any better.

Updated to the new version 0.3.4, used the superuser option. Still having the same problem with my ZEUS thunder X6. Only getting 6mh and 89 % error rate.

As extra options I use  --zeus-chips 128 --zeus-clock 230

When I use it through windows with the zeus cgminer fork it works fine on a vardif pool. getttings 18 / 22 mhs

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://X -u X -p X  --scan-serial //./COM3  --zeus-chips 128 --zeus-clock 200
pause

For my batch 2 Hurricane I have to use this:

--scan-serial zeus:auto --zeus-clock 328 --zeus-chips 64

get around the batch 2 driver issues.... dunno, might help u...

Just wanted to say THANKS!!!

Really impressed with Minera. So far the best looking, polished user UI, easy to set up, support multiple miners... and LOVE the support for mobile miner.

Thanks again!! Hope to switch all my Raspis to Minera now....

Hi, i'm having some trouble with the wifi, when i run wicd-curses it says no wireless networks found.  I've seen this using both the adapter from PiHut and the Edimax EW-7811-Un models.  When i run it on starminer i have no problem seeing wifi.  It looks as though minera is not even starting up the wifi adapter, but when I monitor the startup it looks fine, and when I try to run ifconfig wlan0 up it says its already running.  Anyone have any thoughts/advice?

After Minera is installed, and I change the IP address in the /etc/network/interfaces as normal to a static address, will Minera automatically adjust to the new address?

assuming you point your browser to the new ip.add.re.ss/minera then you'll be fine.. The system is not IP dependent
That's what I was thinking, but I was having some issues yesterday and still this morning. Just wanted to confirm.

What kind of issues?

I started to look for a beaglebone to port Minera, unfortunately availability of rev c. (Europe) is limited and I can't find one at a decent price, but stay tuned for that.

I've inscreased my miners' Donation slider @ 43Mh/s to assist in covering you expenses for this.  Hope others can follow suite.
My BBB is so much faster in everything it does that I don't understand, other than it costing approx. 50% more than the old RPi Model B, why others besides Mineforeman aren't' developing for this platform.

I guess this news is a start.

PS:

I'm still mining at only 7.5 G-blades instead of the full 8 G-blades miner capacity I own.  I still can't understand why this is.

I believe that on my end I've eliminated any software & hardware discrepancies possibilities since I've replaced everything twice, except the miners & the Raspberry Pi platform.
On the software side I've been thru the gamut, Minera, Minepeon, Scripta, Starminer, what have you, & still the same thing.
It's random every time, the none-hashing on half a G-blade miner which changes to a diff. G-blade miner on every reboot or miner software restart process.

Oh, well, 7.5 G-blades at 43MH/s is better than anything less.
If I had a working Minera on the BBB platform this would probably be resolved. [wink, wink].

@suzukii very good! Yes definitely I'm just working on a method to backup the settings and export the application/miners logs in a user friendly way.
Please let me know if the reboot issue is solved.
