So with the removal of mobileminer i want to be able to view minera from externaly of my location.

i found this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/minera-access-from-internet-826572 that talks about wanting to view it from external, and is advised to forward https 443 port.

I have tried this on the local LAN and this port isnt open, is there a config i need to change to enable the port so i can forward it externally?

Just forward port 80 and you are done.

So this just opens my router to the internet which is port 80, how can i change the port of minera?

Forward another port for example 8080 (or 81) to the port 80 of Minera IP

Then you will access Minera by http://:8080/minera

I have a problem with U3's going ZOMBIE, and am curious to see if there are any other solutions to what I'm currently doing: unplug the usb cables and plug them back in.

Restarting cgminer doesn't seem to fix the Zombies... nor does restarting Minera.  Any other potential solutions other than physically unplugging/replugging?

URGENT - PLEASE READ - MOBILEMINER IS SHUTTING DOWN

Hello guys, I'm sorry to be here to announce this but yesterday evening  I received an email from Nate Wools (Mobileminer author) telling me his service is going to be shut down on 1th July 2015.

That said, you have to turn off Mobileminer from your Minera before 1th July (I'd recommend you to turn off it ASAP).

What does happen if you leave it on? Probably nothing, but your Minera will still try to connect to that service every minute and you will probably suffer from timeouts, so it's really better if you turn off it before the service will be shut down.

Unfortunately I can't do anything but completely remove it in the next Minera version I'm going to release in about a week.

We should be really thankful to Nate for all his work and I wanna personally thanks him for all his efforts. Thanks Nate!

This is the Nate email every MobileMiner API user received:

Dear MobileMiner API user,

We thank you for your support in adopting the MobileMiner API for mobile monitoring of home mining. Unfortunately home mining is no longer a realistic and profitable endeavor, which has lead a significant number of miners to cease operations or cut their costs. This leaves MobileMiner in an unfortunately situation where it no longer makes sense to offer as a service.

This email serves as an additional notice that the MobileMiner service will be shutting down as of July 1st, 2015. At this time the mobile apps have been removed from their respective stores and notices have been places on web properties. On July 1st the websites and APIs will be taken offline.

Nate Woolls

Well, that explains why gear was offline but everything was running fine.

So, will anyone else able to step up to the plate and replace this type of service or just go back to TeamViewer?

You can run CryptoGlance on a device inside your network and access all your rigs from anywhere remotely.

Side note: Not trying to selfishly promote. Just posting an alternative solution

Only now noticed 0.6.1 and with it the Mobile Miner shutdown. Unfortunate that they have to shut down. Although it's true that home mining is decreasing, many people still do it, and I bet professional miners used their service... It's pretty useful to have their widget and quickly check if everything is fine.

Anyways, going to update minera now, thank you for developing this great tool!!

does this update also fix g-blades not starting?
had no prob on 0.4, all blades start correctly. but 0.6 gave me lots of troubles.
Switched back to 0.4 because of that.

You should investigate and give us more (MORE) info about your problem, it's not a Minera version problem I can bet on it all my BTC.

What miner software do you use? What is the miner config you use? What is the specific problem? Did you check the miner logs?

Minera 0.6.1 is out!

Hello guys,
I hope you are doing well, this is a small update to fix some crap I did in the past Wink
I'm so sorry but you can't update from 0.6.0 to 0.6.1 via Web interface because I made a mistake in 0.6.0 and web update cannot start (shit!).

SO IF YOU HAVE 0.6.0 AND ONLY 0.6.0 TO UPDATE YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

* connect via SSH to your Minera and do:

Code:
cd /var/www/minera
sudo git fetch --all && sudo git reset --hard origin/master && sudo ./upgrade_minera.sh

When it finished you can refresh your web page.

Here is the 0.6.1 Changelog

* Fixed time donation for cgminer users
* Fixed Cgminer Dmaxl pool hashrate bug
* Added remember dashboard panels status collapsed or not
* Added dashboard panel settings enable/disable
* Removed any reference to MobileMiner (service was shut down read here)
* Added bitstamp rates Usd + Eur in mining profitability panel
* Fixed bug with update...shit! I'm sorry for this Sad

Hope you like it, have a great Weekend!

Hello all. I have a Peppermining Habenero that I'm trying to get running on Minera but the default clock is just causing too many problems including lots of buss resets. How can I do an entry in the extra options of the cgminer to change the clock speed?. All the command lines I have seen don't seem to do anything except keep cgminer from starting.

To change the Habanero clock from Cgminer you should use the option :

Code:
--hfa-hash-clock

But you should ask it to the Cgminer thread (or better a Habanero one if exists).

Never before 11 P.M.
Minera was bestowed upon thee by Christ..

Oh wait, it's just an amazing piece of software.

There is a reason I always donate.

Having a problem.

I am running a raspberry pi B+ with 2 gridseed blades.
Fresh install of software on sd card and everything works fine. I check on it for a while and looks like everything is good.
I check on it a few hours later and I can't connect to the raspberry pi.

I can see it on my network but will not connect. I then have to power down by just unpluging it. At this point I have to reinstall os and everything is good again for a couple of hours.

Any Ideas?

Yes, SD Card corrupted, try another one. If you can't find a solution, please look at /var/log/syslog after you reboot if you can.

@nwools: no problem, if the domain still responds that's sufficient, they won't get timeouts. Thanks again and hope you can find someone to take up the project.

Let me know if this poses a problem or if you need something delayed until you can put out a release. The domain will still resolve but should result in an HTTP 503. I'd be happy to put something in place to help if this causes an issue (such as a dummy endpoint that returns HTTP 200).

I'm also talking to a couple of folks about continuing on the service under other stewardship, so if you do remove the functionality you may want to make it conditional (for now).

Let me know if there's anything I can do to make the transition smoother.
