Edit: Now it won't turn on for more than a couple minutes, soon as it starts mining it turns off.. I'll try reinstalling the OS to one of the newer versions

It's possible, also, that your power supply is failing and/or is working at the limits of capacity... and then a slight bump in power draw, or a slight dip in your electrical grid, could cause the machine to reboot.

...you can download the binary (was surprised they had it instead of just source)...
AFAIK, Claymore has never been open.

That's a good thing from an end user perspective on nvOC (any Linux, really). I compiled up the latest and greatest tpruvot ccminer a couple of weeks back and that is not for the faint of heart, especially on nvOC. There are a handful of gotchas (all listed here, if you can find them).

Also, can I update to the latest Claymore`s (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-dual-ethereum-amdnvidia-gpu-miner-v150-windowslinux-1433925) without breaking something in nvOC?

Thanks!

I just looked into this. nvOC 19-1.4 includes version 10.0 of this miner. If you want the latest as per the link, then you can download the binary (was surprised they had it instead of just source). Then you need to create subdirectory "10_1" in /home/m1/eth on your miner, put the downloaded file here and unzip/untar it. Lastly, you need to modify this line of your 1bash to use it:

Code:
CLAYMORE_VERSION="10_0"    # choose 10_0  or  9_8  or  9_7  or  9_5  or  9_4  or  8_0

to

CLAYMORE_VERSION="10_1"    # choose 10_0  or  9_8  or  9_7  or  9_5  or  9_4  or  8_0

Hope this helps.

I'm a newb linux user, not sure if this is the best place to ask but I'm having issues with one of my systems running nvOC.. My rig keeps rebooting itself after a few hours of running and when I go to access it to see what happened all my mobo settings have been reset to default and it asks me if I want to run setup or to boot as normal. Anyways, I'm unsure where to go to access linux crash logs or how to read them.

Once I reboot the rig back into Linux everything runs as normal.

Still having issues with this if anyone has a moment to help me out locating/interpreting logs

Are you using usb or ssd ?
It seems your rig restarted too many times and mobo gone to safe mod to keep it from restarting more.
Which version you have?
Check your OC settings.

SSD, and using the nvOC_v0019, haven't ran any of the updated versions.

The OC settings are set to 0 and 0.

The rig will run fine for a few hours, I walk away and come back to the computer being restarted and bios settings being restored to default each time.. I've tested the battery and its fine, I've unplugged the system completely from the PSU for an hour and plugged it back in and all of the changes/date/time were still there.

Edit: Now it won't turn on for more than a couple minutes, soon as it starts mining it turns off.. I'll try reinstalling the OS to one of the newer versions

I can`t seem to be able to mine in ethermine pool. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this?

These are my ETH settings in 1bash:

All working well in nanopool:

There is an option DOT or SLASH in 1bash. Set it to DOT for ethermine

I was suspected of mobo too, gonna send it back and see how it goes.

So the problem was not mobo either, and it was cards from different manufacturing patch.
What I got from the seller was 2 big boxes with 10 cards in each + 4 cards, seems like one of the big boxes have different memory type.
So I got 14 good ones and 10 not so good ones ... lol

So now the question is which combo is better ?
6+6 in each rig
or go with one fully good and the other 4 good and 8 not so good ?

argh... but you stated before that all cards had same memory... I assumed that you tested each and every one with gpu-z under windows... that's what I did with mine...

Anyway, at least you know where the problem lies now... if you can't return the cards with "bad" memory I suppose it is best to make one rig with all "good" cards and the other one mixed

I am facing this issue when I install NVOC and boot up, tweaking the 1bash file setting, during the startup in terminal, I get stuck at "There is no screen to be resumed matching miner" for a while, after that the rig will restart on its own and ask me to log in the password for m1. I have 2 rigs to mine zcash and somehow the other one works just fine with the same 1bash file config. Does anyone face this issue? Would appreciate if anyone can help me on this.

I generally like to keep all cards in a rig the same so I would go with 1 rig with all good and the other as a mix so that you only end up with one "funky" rig.

Still great mining OS for me thanks for all the effort guys.

Just want to know is it possible to have an individual Overclock if I'm using Nicehash or Mining pool hub autoswitch?

Thanks

God Bless

Hi,
v0019-1.3 is now "STABLE" or still "BETA" version??

That version was and always will be a BETA. The latest stable version is 19 and the next planned is 20. The latest BETA is 19-1.4 and was released yesterday. I have been mining with it on all of my rigs for about 24 hours with no issues. At present, there is no upgrade path to it - you have to start with the full release (link on first page).

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

Hi, what about full support of Asus b250 mining expert.

What does it mean "partly supported"?

Is it a hard limit of 13 standard GPU + 6 P106? or will be possible to use 19 regular GPU?

My mobo does not even post bios messages when Iam inserting 14th regular GPU

Could anybody comment on this?

Thank you in advance!

Have you attached 3rd PSU?
One PSU = 7 GPU
Two PSU's = 13 GPU
Three PSU's = 19 GPU

Partial support means that not all GPU's can be overclocked, first 16 GPU can be overclocked, last 3 GPU will work on stock settings. See the post from two pages back regarding TB250

I think that means it is supported but there are known issues when going beyond a certain number of GPUs. I am running that mobo but with only 7 GPU ATM and everything is great. Take a look at previous posts like this one for more information:
