i cant recomeded you for mining using laptop, because its realy not worth for your time, and with your spec, you can use your cpu for start mining and calculation for future.

Try to read more attentively.
1. I wrote Solo CPU mining using the wallet. You can read smth about wallet commands to understand what it means. Or you can try to find CPU based coins.
2. Ok, mine with laptop GPU. Good luck with it.

Yay...!
I can say nothing, I swear.
Maybe you were right. I need to read something today, but I bit confuse what to read, you gave me the reference.  Grin  Grin

Basically, you are wrong.

First
That will work if you find cpu based coins (and you don't mention it). Nice block rewards (as you said) means nothing if the coin isn't listed yet in the market, and that's not for OP (that new in the mining and need to get money as fast as he can). And your way doesn't decrease the risk related to mining using a laptop.

Second

The GPU mining really gives no profit, but using laptop in my way - you can find several blocks with nice reward.

What can I say?  Grin  Cheesy

-------------------------
That's also applied to every mining device when you were solo mining started when genesis block launched (and I assume that the coin just mined by a few miners)

I actually got 2 old computers(that are way worse than laptop) But they dont really start up. So in order to buy them new  things to make them  work again it would be a huge investment for me(i am only 19 without a job currently).
Should i use  My laptop..? my friend told me that its a bad idea because it wont mine enough btc   and its just not worth.
 my laptop has these
8Gb Ram
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.60 GHz
64 bit...?
I am not an expert at this tbh . Any opinion/reply will be appreciated !! Thanks a lot

It looks like you have just one chance. You can mine with the CPU shitcoins right at the start. You have to find a new coin, download wallet quickly, and start mining by the wallet. So you can find several blocks by this way. And later you can win if this coin would be on some exchange.

That's the way to do it. If you're looking for a specific altcoin/shitcoin to start mining with an 8gb cpu look no further than the cryptoknight algo coins. My favorite is XAO, Alloy. All you have to do is download the qt wallet and press. "start mining." My old work pc (circa 2005) mines about 130 XAO/week, Or about 3900 satoshi/week. Not getting rich by any means, but I get the satisfaction of sticking it to the man.

You can try to look up honeyminer. It is designed for newbies.

You can also try to mine new CPU-only coins like Lapo (Link removed) until the GPUs arrive. It will be low return at first but the returns might be gigantic.

You can give any advice here, but you can't break the rules. Referral link(s) are not allowed in this forum. See this post → https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

My laptop death after cpu mining. Don't follow me. Yes, you can mine, do with your own risk.

No I tryed to mine with my laptop and I would not recommend it, it's really a bad idea.
Better ideas for laptops are POS mining and to set up an own masternode!

So, your advice is solo mining, right?
Then tried to mine from the genesis block (block 0), but I sure one day's mining isn't enough to collect enough coins (from block rewards) moreover if this coin isn't listed yet on the market. Let's says doing mining for three days - 1 week. Forcing laptop for doing the hardest task for three days event enough to destroy the laptop.  Grin
Not quite. Solo CPU mining using the wallet. The GPU mining really gives no profit, but using laptop in my way - you can find several blocks with nice reward. The main trouble is to start one of the first.

well, mining is definitely the essence of crypto. I'm also a guy that likes to use existing stuff and adapt it to a new use, but on this case you have to reason some facts...... first of all, BTC mining is different because the hashrate needed to gather some value is very high, people are using ASIC and even with these machines, some people are having trouble making is worth (depends on the price of the electricity)
Mining with a laptop, even if you point to new coins with almost no network, is something that will bring very few coins and will highly wear your machine... a stacking station as someone already said would be a much better idea, or maybe as an exit node for VPN, for example
If you want to be a real crypto miner, the best thing to do is taking it serious and gather a bit of money to buy some GPUs, a motherboard and get things going... you can even start with 1 GPU and go on from there...
cheers

If you want to lose your device
I have already tried mining on my machine and burned the screen card
There is not enough cooling in the laptop so you will definitely lose it

Laptops and small devices (with little airflow) are not designed for constant processor threads and will get hot then possibly overheat, lift solder and all sorts of other heat damage can occur.

Of course, you could still mine with the machine, at a reduced rate, turn down affinity on CPU mining software or reduce the thread / footprint.

This is still a good way to take part, even if not at 100% - worth a go still  Cool

And if you do use the machine for data intensive processes, make sure there is free space under the laptop for adequate airflow as many a time these machines have burnt out (with normal use) just because of being put on a table / sofa / bed and the vents blocked - the heat has to go somewhere and is better in than out!

It's not recommended to mining any coin with a laptop because the laptop is not designed to do a hard job like mining and besides that, the laptop can get heat for a long time if you stand by your laptop for mining. No matter how good your laptop, you are difficult to make any profit and don't think that you can be mining any coins that can give your profitable in one period. Maybe you can buy hardware or VGA so you can start mining with a new computer and vga inside but you need to think about the electricity fee.

Sorry mate to tell you but you're a few years late Cheesy Mining bitcoins is only useful now using ASIC miners. You can learn more about them by googling antminer s9 or something. Instead mining on computers still exists BUT on GPUs. And I'm talking about mining altcoins like ethereum or zcash or whatever. If you've got some money and ready to invest into mining get into the Mining section and read some info.

Since you have a U chip from intel, you wont really be able to mine. The laptop would go crazy and consistently throttle.

First off, if you are interested in learning about crypto's and mining you can learn a lot even using a laptop.

I agree with half of your statement, about how to learn (only).

And the rest, for whatever reason (except you are using an unused laptop and you don't even care what will gonna happens) it's not a proper way of doing mining using a laptop. All the comment above says about technical and experience (that's not a theoretical view).
