I would not mine with a laptop if you can help it.  As others have said, it is much harder to dissipate heat in a laptop and they end up working much harder than they need to.

This include CPU and GPU mining from a laptop.  In the long run, generally not worth it. You may be able to say your are profitable mining on a laptop, but there are much more efficient ways to mine.

However, if you just want to try mining to see what it is all about then you are fine!  I just wouldn't recommend leaving your laptop running 24/7.  Good luck.

The components of a laptop naturally generate more heat than those of a desktop computer. If you put your laptop to mining it will even generate more heat than normal and in no time you will toast your processor easily.

You can only mine with your processor and it will make about 0.30 dollars daily or just a bit more. I don't think it is worth to brick your laptop only to mine pennies as that is what you will get by mining with a laptop device.

Laptop mining is the above criticism So I can't agree with other. If you want to do mining, first you have to register a account at any device.....

A good thing to use the laptop for would be to use it as staking station.
Buy some PoS coins, install and unlock your wallets on that laptop and leave it on to stake 24/7. There, more profit than mining for less electricity and wear.

That is a better idea than doing mining using a laptop.  Wink

But it still isn't good enough choice, we were talking about the laptop that we know, isn't a wise way to running 24/7 except it is an unused laptop, and we don't care about what will gonna happen.

You might make 1-2 pennies per hour.
Not worth it.  Go get a job instead, better use of your time.
Then once you have some money saved, if you want to get into mining, build a RIG.
Its a great hobby, that will consume your ever waking hour.  Grin

Should i use  My laptop..? my friend told me that its a bad idea because it wont mine enough btc   and its just not worth.

First of all, that is proper less statement. It may work for a 7-9 year ago. Even when (BTC) replaced with (some altcoins name), but might it be a more acceptable statement than before. But both just the fastest way to blow your laptop if you were doing mining with that.

Will be better to follow the above advice. And you can collect some money from your followed projects to buy some mining hardware if you want to do mining.  Cool

You certainly can mine, but it’s not worth doing so IMO. Mining usually means fans at full speed on most laptops as most laptops have horrible cooling, and if a fan happens to fail, it’s a hassle to find a replacement and install it. Plus, laptop CPUs are generally pretty underpowered for mining, and your (Haswell?) i7 is no exception. Even if you were to mine, I doubt you’d be making more than a dollar a month.

If you’re looking to make money, scout for jobs in the Services section. People are always looking for workers there, and you’ll likely get paid in crypto for completing a job.

I actually got 2 old computers(that are way worse than laptop) But they dont really start up. So in order to buy them new  things to make them  work again it would be a huge investment for me(i am only 19 without a job currently).
