Doing some research and located an aged thread to bump. A great resource for BTCC as the Encyclopedia has limited info.

Now I know why the 10k blue chips are so difficult to come across. Lower production and high redemption rate

https://anduck.net/bitcoin/btcc_coins.html

Great info, thank you!
Seems to have even the rarest BTCC items listed, like the Silver coins & Full blocks Shocked

Great thread, I have always loved the BTCC products.

All I need to do now is copy the details from the OP to paste it to my "Dear Santa" letter later this year  Cheesy

To clarify, we are not BTCC Mint, but we purchased these directly from BTCC. We are not here to scam nobody, if you don't feel comfortable, please use Escrow service or simply don't purchase, no need to accuse us as a scammer. Also for those expect to pay face value, or close to face face for these rare collectible coins, keep dreaming because nobody will be selling at face value because they were originally marked up 1700% over face value, no way BTCC made these as a free service. We are just marking up another 400% from our cost after 5 years. There's a reason and logic why it's expensive because it's rare and precious. Price isn't the primary concern for any value collectors, quality, uniqueness, scarcity, and its special status in the Bitcoin space is where the value resides.

And now, I have my new startup called Ballet. It's a different company, and a different brand.

We are NOT using the same BTCC Mint name. However, I do at times make references to BTCC Mint as it's legitimately what I worked on from 2016-2018. So I do talk about my experiences from BTCC Mint, and the my legacy there.

thanks,
Bobby

Bobby - since you claim to own Ballet - can you see this thread and clarify maybe? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/sale-ballet-crypto-bitcoin-halving-special-edition-wallets-w-free-001-btc-5245179

there is another user posting ballet wallets for sale - but with a link that is not the ballet web site. They claim they created a whole separate website just for this wallet - the same wallet on the official ballet site is 129 - they are charging 139

can you validate?

Now that Bobby has sold BTCC I wonder how the branding of these coins will hold up over time?

Is there any effort being made to brand these or create a valuable secondary market for these in general?

What do you mean by "effort being made to brand these"?

I think there already is a healthy secondary market for these BTCC Mint coins/bars/chips.

thanks,
Bobby

So now I'm a bit confused. He meant if you sold the company to someone else, how would they continue to brand stuff....

Did you sell the company or not, because you are still using the name.  Huh

Edit - you just replied to this guys post which is well over a year old too... Roll Eyes

Yes, I did reply to that guys post from over a year ago. (as I only saw his question recently when browsing this thread.)
However, my post got deleted by the moderators.  Weird.

To answer your question:
Yes, I did sell BTCC in early 2018.

For the first 6-8 months, they still had me help them with BTCC Mint as Coinmaker. However, towards the end of 2018, they abruptly closed down the BTCC Mint division, and got out of the physical bitcoins business altogether.

And now, I have my new startup called Ballet. It's a different company, and a different brand.

Hey Bobby,

I am curious if you have seen a secondary market for those BTCC coins in China or other countries? I am curious about demand, appreciation, etc. and if there are any markets or auctions that come up that have set the market recently?

Cheers
