I intended to send the btc to coinbase. Here is what I think happened. In coinbase clicked on receive money, clicked on get btc address, copy address, but copy address did not work and I pasted an address that was already on the clipboard (windows 7).
Sending it to a valid address is not by chance (although possible, but highly improbable). You obviously copied that address somewhere, or paid to that address in the past. Try to retrace your steps and every address you've ran across. There is a much higher chance of you getting it back if you went directly to the source to ask for it back, rather than sit here and wait for the owner of that address to stumble upon this thread by accident, then recognize that is his address.
