I don't mind saying that in 2017 I did a fair share of bounties myself, until I realized that 99% of my fellow "hunters" were practically shilling and then I realized I looked bad by promoting a shilly project. Gave that up long ago. Now just doing my signature campaign for Bitcoin, and happy to see all of my fellow campaigners are using our project properly and giving quality posts!

You did it because that is your goal which is to gain huge profit by waiting the bull run which unfortunately not come , unlikely in my strategy which to have a price setting for selling so whether there is a bull run or none , if the price is already hit for my aimed , then its time to sell.

Fortunately, I still have the other half amount, so I prepare to sell at the price I want, and although I need to wait for 10 minutes, the price can reach my price and my order sell was filled.

That was the biggest mistake in my life, that if there is a bull run you should sell your coins and buy in cheap or if bull run is already done, until now many of my coins or tokens are stock and it will not to be profit anymore, hoping too see again a bull market in this year.

First, do not store it in exchange for more than 3 months I guess, trust personal wallet and leave nothing to exchanges. Second, do not wait for opportunity but make the opportunity waits you.

I like your belief about do not wait for the bull run to come, well based on my opinion, waiting for these bull is just a waste of time, it lessen our productivity so, acting way more better is far more efficient.

This is a wise strategy to adopt especially when you are holding onto too many high risk assets because in a bear market there's not always going to be as big a chance of them appreciating even if good quality projects do achieve milestones and increase adoption the results might not pay off immediately so always be proactive in diversifying into lower risk assets if there's enough liquidity and you're not incurring too big a loss when restructuring your portfolio

You actually make a genuine point and this is why people are advice not to be greedy or let profit making blind them from doing the right thing. However, selling all one holding for quick profit is also not good because there are some certain things ones need to put in check before making decision or else you'll wish you shouldnt your altcoin.

I kinda relate with what you started this thread with. I got few coins via bounty and some I just got in hope that someday it will rise and shine. The thing was when it was bullish I sold some but then kept few in hope that it will cross the benchmark but then only to find that I had to wait longer than expected. I think we should all just sell when things are high and then if we want to make more profit then we should just buy it again when its low. Often many including myself miss the sell boat and then have to wait for a long long time.

There is a saying that one should not fall in love with a coin for we are here for money and not attachment.

This is one of the reasons some coins just keep dumping, because they do not believe in holding.
Well, I think the mistake most people make is that, earlier they were holding just any coin that comes their ways. So since most of them have plunged, they were discouraged from holding and that lead them into continual dump of what they have.
This will not help, because there are certain coins that will give you unexpected huge profit, if you are able to hold. You just need to study most of them.

From my part i don't see what has happened to you as a mistake at all.I believe for everyone who invest wants to earn profits which often times are large. Though the bear market's taking longer than envisaged, it's gonna give way to the bull one day.

We keep making the mistake of waiting for bull run and that has cost many people what supposed to be their asset,many have lost their portfolio to that,we must learn to survive in the bear market and one of the way to survive is to know when to take your profit, or else you will end up losing everything that should have been a profit to you.greed will make you lose everything.

You are right a lot do the same mistake, In my opinion it's not good to hodl bounties and airdrops it's completely luck when the tokens are listed on the exchanges you need to sell them immediately to see a descent profit rather than waiting for a big amount.

The mistake is not only one and most of us get into it every time we want to make a little more surprise, or maybe the new island fire is created and we are their first victims. It is so simple Grin
