So here's another case of "shoot first, ask questions later" My two page post called " Is trading volume an important metric? " Just got deleted by moderators. It had about 15 replies, most of which were highly informative. But just about 2 hours ago, I posted something the moderators didn't like, and boom ! whole thread is gone. WTF !! What is this ? No freedom of speech ? So this is pretty much another Reddit ? Okay.
And FYI, the offending comment was about an Altcoin that had gone several million percent in one day, and no, it's not me trying to pump a new scam coin or anything, this really did happen, I took screenshots and have proof. I won't name that project because the moderators really pissed me off here, so now you go and find what this project's name is.

So Moderators:

Next time something sounds unbelievable make sure you check your sources first, and don't rush to conclusions and delete the thread because it might just be true, as in this case.
You said how many pages? MY comrade look your work.
How important is trading volume when trying to decide whether to invest in a new project ? The higher the better ? But if people are "selling off" like crazy wouldn't that also mean a high trading volume ?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/is-trading-volume-an-important-metric-5402578 now tell us how many pages are there? It would have been better you asked a question why my thread was deleted or you are not seen your thread on the board you created it than attacking and accusing the moderators of deleting your thread. They have not even started  with you and you are angry. Do you know, how many threads were deleted from other users?

Please next time if you want to know whether your thread has been deleted or moved to another. it is very simple as ABC. just click on your profile then click on any of these two
Show the last posts of this person or Show the last topics started by this person. There you will see your thread and the board the thread is if it has not  been deleted. I also believed that if a thread is deleted on the forum, you will received a message from bitcointalk.org in your email and also on the forum message box.

Please read the rules.

FYI

I just double checked the "See replies to your posts" feature ( as I had done prior to posting this thread ) and the other thread is STILL not there. My thread " Is Celsius in trouble ? " that one is there, nice and clear. So it's not my fault this site can not update properly.
lol, are you kidding me? since when did Bitcointalk start having issue with updating?

For your information, Bitcointalk have no such issues as related to updating data, But rather, you seem to be the one that have issues with patience, when you found out that your post was no longer were it was before, what you would have done is calm yourself down and go through your post history properly, if you had calmed down and and patiently go through your post history, you would have discovered that your post was not deleted but only moved, then, you wouldn't have had to wrongly accuse the moderators.

I think the whole idea of this thread was what OP ment by
"shoot first, ask questions later"
It's a strategy that says, you prefer to react rather than to respond and that's not a good one. You've got to try and rap your head around a situation and when you don't get it, you ask questions and get directives. We are all here to learn and making mistakes is acceptable but, ridiculing and ruling on the moderators is not a good way to behave, is it? There is a local saying that goes "one who asks questions doesn't miss his/her direction".
Make constructive and informative posts in the right board and your most likely not going to have to look for it.

I think before starting to post here in the forum the first things is to read rules.
If you did then you have known that any off topic is not allowed to be here rather moved by the moderator.
How did you get to the Member rank with knowing this simple fact?

I'm surprised the moderator didn't delete this post.
Deleting the post (as you would've wanted) will mean deleting this thread and making the OP think the worst of it. It would also cast the moderators in bad light. That would simply mean that someone is trying hard to stifle free speech here. People have a right to air their views and be expectedly heard. The only nag in this is that OP was hasty in their conclusion as it brought them to the wrong action of falsely accusing mods. As has been explained to the OP that their thread wasn't deleted but moved to the appropriate section of the forum, it would be expected now that this thread be locked as it has served its usefulness to the fullest.

OP, kindly lock this thread or ask the mods to do so.

It's funny how you are complaining about the admins shooting first and asking questions later when you just fired at all the admins and asked questions after emptying your magazine. Both of your low-value, no-effort threads are still there. They are in the Altcoin Discussion board.

You seem to lack knowledge of how some of the forum features work like the "See replies to your posts" feature. But apparently, the admins are at fault for that as well. After being proven wrong, can you admit you made a mistake by shooting at the admins and asking them questions later? Or is this a quiet admission of guilt?

Len Saldua, you were obviously in a hurry and came to the wrong conclusions.
Other members of the forum have already explained to you in great detail what actually happened and why.
Since you have already received an answer to your question, I suggest you lock this topic and continue writing in your topic that you started.
Next time be more careful and don't rush to conclusions, ok?

Len Saldua please listen to Daniel.

You don't need "to open closed wounds on your body". Just lock this topic and create a suitable one. Bitcoin talk users are aware of your claim and I'm sure no moderator is taunting you. My comments (for instance) has been deleted multiple times and I never went on a personal vendetta on any moderator. They are simply doing their job. It's not easy for them to check post and read line by line just to make sure users adhered to rules. Please...

If I started my post (OP) and it got several replies and then got deleted by mods, as per your statement, does this mean I won't receive any single notification in my email about the deletion?
You wouldn't receive any message.
When a thread is deleted, it's actually moved to trashcan and you wouldn't be any notification for that.

perhaps you should have followed your own advice "Next time something sounds unbelievable make sure you check your sources first, and don't rush to conclusions". you know you could have easily checked your profile and then click "Show the last topics started by this person" to see whether your post is still there or if it has been deleted.

As far as I know, you don't receive any message if your thread is deleted. You receive message regarding the post deletion only if your reply is deleted.
I don't if I got you wrong here.

I have never had my OP deleted, so I don't know what happens.

I'm surprised the moderator didn't delete this post. Look at what you are posting!  You have a problem with a moderator. Instead of sending him a PM, you open another post. You just validated the moderators action against you. Anyway, I'm sure have other topics to discuss so I suggest you archive this one.   Shocked Shocked  Shocked

FYI, It's definitely your fault.

1. You ignore the forum rules, by making topics in the wrong boards.
2. Instead of asking, you started ranting and accusing moderators for no reason.
3. If you do not know how to find your posts and threads, use the proper forum software features: Go to your profile summary, and at the bottom of the page you will see two options:
4. It would be common courtesy to at the very least thank those who helped you and to admit your own mistake after being pointed out, but you continue your offensive rant like a full-fledged troll. It's never too early to start learning manners.

OP, before making angry rant, please check thing because your thread wasn't deleted, just moved to another board. Now you just did "Shoot first, ask questions later". And mods probably were right by moving your topic to altcoin board. It wasn't related to Bitcoin at all.
P.S. What is "two page post"? Your posts consist 3 sentences, not 2 pages. But it have 2 (now 3) pages of replies.
P.S.2 Number of replies to your topic isn't sign of quality. Actually, more replies topic get, more likely it will turn into spam megathread.

You are too prejudiced. I showed you the link to watch the story. But as I understand it, you lost all your open topics? The site, that is, the forum tries to be very friendly to users, so try and behave yourself as well.
Just go to your story and find all your lost topics there. They are alright.

Show new replies to your posts just shows a list of threads where you posted (OP or not) that have new replies that you have not read yet. If your thread DOES NOT have new replies it WILL NOT show up there.

If your thread deleted you can receive a message in your inbox about that situation.
As far as I know, you don't receive any message if your thread is deleted. You receive message regarding the post deletion only if your reply is deleted.
you are right that mate and OP don't panic before you complain take break and do some research or find where's your topic goes to. What other talking about is that your topic has not been deleted but moved to the section or board where your topic is fit. For example your topic is all about altcoins Then you posted it here in B and H  so there's a big chance that your topic will be moved to the altcoin section where it's fit.

Before complaining better check first your post history if the thread you created is deleted or not because from their you can find out if that one move to another section. If your thread deleted you can receive a message in your inbox about that situation. Also post your created thread on the right board so that it will not moved by moderators as well as you will help them minimize their work loads.
