I can't say for sure... i know (at least i think) i hadn't entered my password in a while... its remembered on the site. The original password was weak... so i figured someone brute forced it.
Honestly, i don't know how it was obtained.
I do not share my passwords with anyone else.

That stinks that your forum account has been hacked but at least you are doing a good thing by reimbursing forum members for the money which they lost, I don't want to seem mean but I personally would not have given my own money to attempt to do that, I would have just created a new account and focused on that one.
