Any news on which direction MOIN will be taking? its been a while since we heard what will be happening with MOIN, whether there will be a swap or not. Its good to hear that the community is still promoting MOIN so there is a lot of support, we just need some updates on developments or what is going to happen. The market is looking good so now is the perfect time to get MOIN going again.

Moin Movement League Phase #20

Wow 20 phases complete!  Thats 40 whole weeks of MOIN filled goodness straight to your dome.  That means we have given out 30,000 MOIN in that time period. Cool! The Moin Movement League still has a ton of room for improvement so if you have any ideas feel free to swing by our chatrooms and let me know.

Moin Movement League Phase #19

MOIN league phase 19 payouts have been sent.  The changes we implemented for this phase seemed to be well received.  My focus has mostly been on trying to improve the administration components lately. Always looking for feedback though so if you have any ideas swing by our chatroom's listed in the next section.

It's a me Jooklio back again with another MOIN fortnightly update. Very little info for you this round, but none the less, I am here to give you the info. I am feeling tired so am going to keep it quick and factual

Moin Movement League Phase #18

MOIN league phase 18 was pretty regular but it did culminate in some changes to the awards.  It turns out that over time we have learned that tweets are worthless essentially.  Tweets with#bemoin and #moinmovement have been removed.  $moin tweet rewards have been reduced to one a day and point value reduced to 2 hero points. We can't stop people from spamming useless junk but we can stop rewarding them.  I think it is a good change.  Feel free to express if somehow this wasn't a good move.  Phase 18 payouts have been sent.

At current, Moin must have some volumes at exchanges.  Otherwise, I fear it getting delisted from existing exchanges and also from coinmarketcap.

That is reassuring for me to be honest. He didn't give up on the project, and, I kinda like it. I value the fact that he wants to avoid similarities with other projects and actually implement something original in Moin.

I am curios to see what he has in mind.

I would have a question for him tho... Why doesn't he consider the idea of finding at least another coder to help him?

Fortnightly Sunday Update #45

Howdy MOINers.  Its fortnightly update day.  Did you catch that MOIN commercial on the Puppy Bowl?  It was right between the one with the lizard buying stuff off OpenBazzar and the one saying that Litecoin doesn't have and corn syrup in it.  I'm joking of course! Isn't it good to laugh together?  Alright let's get this update over with.

KingCaper Makes A Direction Changing Decision

KingCaper has made a decision which changes the plans regarding the swap to the PART codebase.  I suspect this news will be a bit jarring to some people. I know I was surprised myself.  I think it is my duty however to report this regardless of how uncomfortable it is, and so I will explain what he told me.

About MOIN he says that he would like it to be "as successful as possible".  He does not see this goal being accomplishable by cloning PART.  He says "The only way I see this happening is if we do something completely original", or at least, "something original enough to be noteworthy" .  

He claims he will start by "prototyping it in Python first before implementing it properly in a lower-level language".  

This will still, if things go well, eventually lead to a swap so the work that Severus and I have been doing on the swap website has not been in vain.

I hope I have explained this well enough.  I encouraged KingCaper to help by personally explaining some of his decision as well, so maybe that will happen.  Feel free of course to discuss and ask questions.


Moin Movement League Phase #17

Moin Movement League is going strong and I am still improving the site.  It is a very easy way to get a bit of MOIN so if you would like to participate please do. There are lots of activity that is rewarded and we are steadily adjusting the parameters of the "game" based on feedback.  I really appreciate everyone that is a part of this as it has been and continues to be a very great learning experience.  There is no end in sight for this so feel free to swing by and get involved!

How To Find Other MOINers

Most of the daily MOIN talk occurs through our discord channel.  We have a relay setup though so you can easily choose your flavor of chat and stay in the daily loop.  We also have our subreddit and a few other social media options.  You can find them al listed over at http://www.moinmovement.org/communicate.html .  Hope to talk to you soon.

I think that people are waiting for swap. That’s why trading volumes where getting lower and lower.

But I have seen many other coins with some exchanges having zero trading for days, weeks, or maybe months but these exchanges still do appear under the Markets tab.

You are wrong.  You don't need to be a developer to contact CMC.  I have corrected info on many coins there and I am not a developer.  That is how the system works, by people who care contributing.  I explained to you why those two exchanges don't show up for MOIN, because the volume is zero.  I also provided you with a direct link to the form for changes if you think CMC has an error related to MOIN.  If you would check it out you would see that one of the first questions is whether the market has at least $1000 equivalent daily trading volume.  Answering no to that question results in a message explaining that it is not eligible to be added.

I don't think it has to do something with no trading at both Novaexchange and Livecoin exchanges.  I think developers need to contact coinmarketcap first to show the data of exchanges coins listed at.  Maybe developers have not contacted coinmarketcap for it yet.

I'm sure the zero trading volume could have something to do with it.  I've sent them requests occasionally and usually are responsive enough, the changes show up temporarily and then disappear when they become irrelevant.  They keep the important changes related to the coin.  If someone out there actually cares they can probably either create volume or use the coinmarketcap request form https://coinmarketcap.com/request/ .

It could be that the team need to let CMC know that MOIN is trading on there. MOIN is also trading on Livecoin which also isn't showing on CMC so I don't know whats going on with CMC at the moment. Maybe because the only volume was coming from Cryptopia and Coinexchange and that is why they just have them listed? I'm not sure but maybe Jookly or the dev know what's going on.

Thanks for letting us know Moin is listed at Novaexchange.  Why Novaexchange is not shown as exchange in coinmarketcap?  It only shows coinexchange .

Yes, it is.  If Moin delists from coinmarketcap, it is going to be really tough to relist Moin again here. That is why we want some volumes at coinexchange.

You guys are really worrying about things that don't matter in my opinion.

That is actually scary 

Even if for some reason MOIN does get delisted which is very unlikely due to the fact that MOIN is running perfectly and so is the explorer and website, there are many more exchanges out there for MOIN. I believe Coinexchange won't delist a coin if they have a working explorer and website so we should be fine. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is CoinMarketCap as they have been delisting coins recently that have no volume for a long time and this is something we don't want to happen with MOIN.
