in my eyes...monero is the most adapted and liked privacy coin and it will grow in the next time.
but after all...its not guaranteeing real privacy (it was tracked already multiple times by the CIA etc.)
So even now it is still the most adopted one...sooner or later a real total private coin might take its place. with a finished and untraceable tech.

What you think?I think you should learn about how privacy coins work instead of asking the speculation thread. If you believe low cap and potential are synonymous and that every claim is attainable, you are going to buy a lot of shitcoins. Research cryptography and how crypotcurrencies work rather than letting some shill tell you how, "____coin has the best privacy ever!" based on nothing but some anonymous dev who can't even explain how it will work, nor the last project he/she worked on.
If it sounds too good to be true, ask for a whitepaper and check with someone you trust to see if it passes the smell test. If someone is telling you don't need proof or that the returns are too big to pass up on, they are likely just trying to get you to buy their bags and don't care what happens to you or your savings.
Buyer Beware should be too obvious to need repeating, but greed and naiveté gets the best of even the most rational investor/speculator when they are first getting into crypto.

Really hard to predict that far down the line because a lot of things could change but if privacy coins are prominent like they are now then I would guess Monero will be in between 20-50k depending on how popular it is.
5 years is a very long time to make correct predictions. If people of this forum was asked what will happen to bitcoin in 5 years , back in 2013 , most of them probably wouldn’t be that much positive but yea monero is a good coin after all. It’s also very popular in some good exchanges.
On my opinion Monero will start gaining value and also number of transactions toward Bitcoin in 2019. At that time emission will extremely slow down and on the other side Monero infrastructure will be decently built to serve new users.

Monero has a lot going for it in 2018. Things I'm watching out for are:
1. Bulletproofs - reduction in transaction size/fees
2. Hardware Wallets
3. More adoption from Exchanges and Merchants
Realistic goals that are very much in motion and have the potential to be accomplished in the first half of the year.

In my opinion (XMR) Monero is a solid currency and with projects in reality, the whole project is confirmed, but the project is underestimated by many due to great currency anonymity, as much as the community is strong without investments, lack a more transparency to attract new investors and also 5 years it is a long time to speculate on a solid future.
What would be your price target for 2023?. This coin has UNLIMITED BLOCKSIZE, it cannot be hacked nor traced, it is faster than most top coins, and its supply is smaller that Bitcoin (around 15million). Besides its price is VERY LOW
Its full anonymity is very promising for the future generations that are still not yet acquainted with the XMR. Its supply is lower then the Bitcoin and the price is still very low. If we compare the value rise with the Bitcoins value growth we can expect high profit within 5 years.
I am personally thinking that the Monero will reach the value comparable to 1000$ before the end of 2018. Even if the technology and the developer team that is behind the Monero project are constantly improving their altcoin I cannot say if the Monero will fulfill its potential and grow to the unimaginable prices.
Future market situations are still shaded by the veil of secrets and the holders of the XMR can only hope that they will gain long-term profit in 5 years.
I view Monero as one of the "pillars" of the altcoin currencies along with Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash.

I would not like to speculate here far too into the future or to speak about (yet) less realistic values.

Compared to the current "top" cryptos XMR has real development, a network effect due to a strong growing community and it has a utility as real money, way better then BTC or derivatives of BTC.
The current valuation of XMR is compared to other larger projects a bad joke and will result in an upward correction. This low market cap is not sustainable and will result in higher prices.

Monero is already one of the top favorite coins. I think it will go huge in future along with ETH, BTC and others.

XMR most undervalued coin still because it has great potential then most of the popular coins and it has greater anonimity too but still the price is around $330.I hope people will understand the potantial level of bitcoin soon and will start investing on Monro also.But it is hard to predict the price of morero in 5 years from now but I hope monero can reach $800 by end of this year. 
Monero has potential to be one of the top coins in crypto. It grew a lot in short time because people believed in it and invested in it’s technology. I would not be surprised to see monero’s value being multiplied several times in couplof years.
certainly, Monero is one of the best coin in the world which have many advantages and can replace Bitcoin in payment in the future. So, I believe that Monero will have the bright future.
Monero was attract the market last last year, the value has been reach $400 at the end of last year. But this month most of altcoin has been dropped, it happens also for XMR. But, i do agree with OP since the XMR supply are only 15M, for next 5 years the price can be rocket.
I like Monero. It is one of the top coins that truly has a great code and community. They are unique as it is, by design, the only untraceable coin. But the thing is that they have a lot of work to do. They do not have great wallets with simple UX. They need to be able to use easily on Smartphones. And the fee could be higher.

Based on what exactly??5 years from now is too far away for anyone to make a reasonable prediction. But I'm very bullish on Monero, I do see $1000 happening somewhere this year.
monero is one of a small but altcoin has fairly large holders in the world of crypto. This coin if seen seem to be good value in the future, thus investing in coins is really promising.
Monero has had a very good development in the last five years. I have invested in Monero and received quite a bit of profit from it. Moneno always holds the position of the top 20 altcoin with the largest trading volume in the cryptocurrency market. I think Monero can totally reach $ 1000 this year, it's the most stable co-altcoin I've ever seen.
