It is interesting that MoneroV had so much hype and bla bla months before it was forked, but was not able to enter coinmarketcap after weeks of existence. XMC and XMO was able to enter it after few days with ease.
At first i didn't read up previous comments and was little bit curios if this monero V forked coin do exist or not but i found out there are lots of them.lol. This is indeed having so much hype and i dont really get involved myself on investing into these forked coins. XMV XMC XMO wont really suits out my taste. Better to stick into the original ones.

Yes and if we cut everything else out and we focus just on security that is why.  https://xmv.leafpool.com/  A single mining pool has around 80% of total current XMV hashpower, and of course finds one block after the other with that.

I do not expect too much in MoneroV in the start. There are lots of monero forks and privacy coins in the market and they are all similar. There are too much difference between those coins. MoneroV can only make an impact if they can succeed entering in a big exchange but I think this is difficult. Let's see what their plan is.

I think the price on Monero V will go down a bit more, because it can not beat the real Monero sooner or later. I also think that the team is not that good and I don 't really trust them. But it also could be a legit project. Not sure right now.

Yet another noobie account MoneroV shill in various threads so thought I'd come to visit.   Grin   https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/danielco9-1653730

If you plan to participate in this fork by WITHDRAWING MONERO TO YOUR OWN PRIVATE WALLET PRIOR TO THE FORK - make sure you are VERY CAREFUL.

Bitcoin gold endorsed a wallet that resulted in 3.3 million in real BTC being stolen.
https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-gold-wallet-stole-private-keys-scooped-3-3-million/

Coinsecure exchange also lost around 3 Million that could be related to the fork.
"The note also elucidates that this loss is not a direct result of their infrastructure being compromised or hacked but instead it was due to their CSO Dr. Amitabh Saxsena extracting Bitcoin Gold from Bitcoin. And as a result, their CSO claimed that bitcoins were lost."
https://coinsutra.com/coinsecure-bitcoin-hack-theft/

You risk losing your real Monero for the opportunity to get a copy.

Users should be wary of the security risks involved in this fork. https://www.ccn.com/is-monerov-a-legitimate-hard-fork-of-monero/

The MoneroV team is anonymous, which limits the trust in MoneroV leadership. MoneroV requires Monero holders’ private keys to receive tokens from the airdrop, leaving many to question the safety and privacy of MoneroV’s launch.  MoneroV has recommended solutions to these risks, but many are convinced these issues should not have arisen in the first place. While the MoneroV project is open-source, the MoneroV wallet is not, meaning the wallet source code cannot be audited prior to launch.

Every fork coin with anonymous developers can't be trusted. Bitcoin gold becomes real evidence and i sure about that. After reading again about monerov will have needed user's privatekey to give the airdrop and that's obviously a scam airdrop.

Generally the more they shill the more scammy it is. Just some of the MoneroV shills:

Reasonable price for hrd forked coin is 1 per tenth its original coin price. Example bitcoin to bitcoincash or ethereum to ethereum classic. And is the hard forked really going well now ? What the advantage of monero v from monero original ? Bitcoincash have larger block and ethereum classic is holding its systems to the first time ethereum created.
ETC is not 1/10 of ETH, but more like 1/30. MoneroV is actually near $1. The problem is, is there really new money added into the market (i don't think so, except maybe for BCH)? Does the money from other coins go into thoses forks? Does it make the original coin less expensive?

Dangerous scam fork, you risk to lose all your XMR by logging into the XMRV wallet.

Not if you move your xmr to a new seed first......

Then its just free money. This is bad advice in my opinion.

I find MoneroV funny, and I respect their team. I think I will keep my new XMV coins for a while even though I do not have too much XMR for the fork. Anyway, privacy coins and their forks are exciting always

If any of you really wanted to invest in a Monero fork, why not Aeon? I know I sound like I am shilling right now because I am an Aeon supporter. But I can assure you that Aeon is not a scam. It's also maintained by smooth, one of the lead developers of Monero.

But if you don't believe then don't. I am merely giving a word out for the newbies who do not know any better.

They just want the free coins and are already dreaming of how much money they are going to make by buying selling the free xmrV for thousands of dollars.

Scam or not, Aeon, like all the forks, made the wrong move by forking and splitting up this community. They may not see it that way, but part of the reason for the crypto market just falling all over the place is how fractured it has become. Don't believe the hype, don't believe you yourself are any different. If people truly wanted a difference, they'd make their own projects, not fork over an original blockchain. Forkers are in it for the money, don't believe otherwise.

So what is happening with this fork? I know that they postponed the snapshot date, but are they by any chance a legit project? What do you think, will the XMR price go up a few days the snapshot?
The price on XMR has already started to grow, yet it is not clear with what exactly it is connected. In fact, the whole market began to grow, on this particular merit XMR in this no.

There were 4 other happen for ASIC producers a week or so ago.

Where can find info regarding this? If I hold a little bit of XMR, am I eligible for these new coins?

I have no ideas. Best for you is to google them.  Yes. If you have Monero private keys you should be able to get those coins, but you should be also super cautious not to lose your Monero coins and let someone to steal them from you.  Also ask yourself why you would need those coins  before you bother with it.

I think the price should be a little like Monero Original. But 10 times less. So maybe $1. Look at Hitbtc.
