Your last point is one of the problems...you guys have promised a lot of advancements and developments, but we've yet to see any of them implemented.

I can offer some insight on this:

I took over the lead dev role this past summer and have prioritized infrastructure since then. The end result of this has been a stable platform that no longer suffers from long term downtime and other infrastructure issues. In my eyes, stability is more important that churning out software that will not be highly optimized.

Regarding V2, I have began rewriting the API from the ground up and have scrapped what was already in place for a few reasons. While the delays are frustrating and may negate Money Pot's reputation, V2 is around the corner and the wait will be well worth it.

Some of V2's Features
- API DEV ENVIRONMENT!!!!!!!!
- Alt Coin Support.
- Card / Step Based (Nonce) API
- App Owner Faucet Offset. (Higher outputs as app owners can offset faucet amounts if desired.)
- More random tidbits.

If anyone has any questions regarding V2, reach out to me. Im not providing a timeline as it has not worked well in the past. There are several things that need to be accomplished before implementing V2. V2 will likely go through a Q/A period with app owners if they would like to participate. We are focused, we know the hunger is there.

as you are bringing up v2 here to discussion I will answer here ( I thought there is a slack channel for app owners )

about 5-6 month ago (yes long ago)ex head dev @uni gave us the following heads up and my questions if those very important points are still there or already canceled

1)
app owners get the option to auto register visitors and this user will not need to register with MP first. if this  user will want to wager on other MP apps he will yes need to register with MP

this is a very good option to attract new customers cause many dont like to register with MP but after they came and took a promo and learn how MP works many yes like to register

2)
to implement chips/token for app owners so they can have their exclusive chips to give it to their customers for their promos. those chips/tokens can only be used on their app. it will not change the investors income cause the idea was that app owners can buy those chips from MP that means nothing changes for investors.
but for the app owner it is a big advantage to give finally very good promos and attract new players.
the app owner will have the option to set an expiration time/date. this helps also against promo abusers who just take the coins and run.

i hope I could bring it understandable over. sorry for my english

thx

1) This wouldn't work the way you described. It could theoretically be possible for a user to register via your site for MP but ultimately they will have to be authenticated via MP. Additionally, this would open up the flood gates on a security prospective as abusive app owners could take advantage of this in several ways.

2) We currently have a tip system that could be utilized in this manner. Are you referring to bonuses etc?

please let me give you what @uni explained and that was very clear and made a lot of sense and if it is out of v2 now it would be very sad

app owners need to register the visitors first. u can however have this as anonymous registration. like automatically register a user when they visit your site or click on a button to register anonymously.

app owners have the power to register any user. you can have it set up as like JPR_user1 for username. the api for registration wont need a password as well and the users registered on your app via this api will only be able to play on your app. if they decide to play on other apps using 1 account they must register on mp
the api will only need a username and your app secret so u can register the user. then it iwll return a special hash string that u can use to login the user

2) no not the tip option. if I tip you 1 btc to play only on our app how can I stop you to take it and run/withdraw? it looks that I did not explain it good enough but I thought it was  understandable because when I explained the idea in slack uni and ranlo and some others understood it and promised the implementation with v2

An example is JD, who was up for 8+ months and tanked to the point where even investors in the beginning were down to the negatives (Nakowa situation). It then went back positive over time.

I'm not sure what you mean, but the Just-Dice profit didn't go negative other than in the first 4 months of operation. It launched in June 2013, and by October 2013 it had left the negative profit zone and never went back.

There was no 8+ month period over which any investor would have made a loss if they had stayed invested for that period.

If your point is that variance is a bitch then I agree. But I think you have the specifics wrong re. Just-Dice.

those numbers confirm my opinion that investors in a casino BR should invest longterm and should not try to day trade

I want to invest, will I get scammed as usual given the nature of cryptocurrencies or what?
Any advice guys?

I wanted to invest with doge but seems only possible to deposit bitcoin.

moneypot is running for quite sometime now so i can say they are pretty trusted for investments with over 1000btc but still all trusted casino that accepts investment can run anytime if they want to but i dont see moneypot owner running as they can make much more coins if they run the casino fair

but admins changed so not sure.. time re-syncs when admins change

yes admins changed last dec 2015 IIRC and they are currently running ~10months now but i still don't think they have plans to run with investors money but it is still better to be safe

The new admins are trustworthy and well known members on this forum, so no problems there.

However, like people have pointed out, you will have to stick with your investment long term in order to guarantee a profit. If you really need your money and need to use it in a short time period, don't invest.

MP is a great and trustworthy site to invest in, but there are also other options as well that you might want to do some research in, as not to keep all your eggs in one basket if you are skeptical. (Search the forum, there are a few other sites that allow investment)

That is true but so far MP has been doing a good job, just that recently the profit has been in the red for weeks or even months. Quite strange about this. I know there is up and down but did MP investigate if this is the normal or a loophole is found?

I am sure they are looking at everything.  Especially after a 2.5 month net loss to investors. Odds are they will come back up.
Also, there is more than just the owners looking into it.  Meaning, people are tracking the wallets to see if anything is going strange.  (example: people tracking the 32BTC transfers).
I have to admit, I would love to know if a loophole is found or a reason why the last two months has not been lucky for investors.  Sad

I have no investment in MP, but it might be time to put coins in seeing the profit going up.

Just to clear something up.  People are confusing the bankroll with investor profit.

The bankroll goes up and down.  Lately only down as investors have pulled funds.  It's gone from over 1500 to the current 1100.  This is NOT a loss of 400 coins.  Just simply loss and investors pulling their coins and/or simply divesting.

Investor profit is the gauge of profit/loss.
1 month  374.70 to the current 362.60 is a net loss of 11.9BTC.  Not good, but obviously not terrible and no where near the 400BTC loss once thought.
2 month  390.30 to the current 362.60 is a net loss of 27.9BTC.  Same thing
So, 2.5 months loss, but nothing even close to the amount of profit over the last year.

We're really not deviating much from what would be expected. We were actually way above expected profit for a long time. It's all just variance.

An example is JD, who was up for 8+ months and tanked to the point where even investors in the beginning were down to the negatives (Nakowa situation). It then went back positive over time.

The general idea is that if you're investing in a BR, it should be a long-term one. It's a volatile game, with the only difference being that you're gambling with a higher chance of winning (based on HE).

That said, we definitely do follow what's happening on the site, Smiley. And FWIW, we're up 0.53% for the week right now.

I want to invest, will I get scammed as usual given the nature of cryptocurrencies or what?
Any advice guys?

I wanted to invest with doge but seems only possible to deposit bitcoin.

Odds are that you will not be scammed.
If anything, you should worry about a hack in which coins are lost.  Anything is possible.

Just like gambling in a casino, you could win or lose.  With a real casino (or gambling), you know the results instantly and go away.  With investing, the shorter you have the money in the less likely you will lose it, but also the less you will make or lose.  You expose your money (coin) the longer you have it in.
Advice?  Don't invest more than you're willing to lose through natural losses or hack/scam.

Easy to invest Doge.  Just convert it to BTC first.  Then, after you make (or lose) coins, convert back to Doge.

Actually, I think I see why I'm not seeing them. Someone made a withdrawal a week ago. Funds were sent to our hot wallet and were withdrawn from there. So the addresses you're seeing the coins end up at are not in our possession, just for clarification (the 32 BTC transactions). However, 1F5Xsuy9ZZWcLApoEBBFvnYTbZ4bkKzhcJ is ours (and is where funds were sent for the hot wallet top-up).

Hope that helps clarify things, Smiley.
Who is the owner of MoneyPot? U or RHavar?

I, Dogedigital, and ACoinLLC are as of last December.
So, is it the case that RHavar is no more an owner of MoneyPot?

That's correct. He sold it last Dec: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/auction-of-moneypotcom-the-bitcoin-gambling-wallet-1249919
