Commands allowed to use ML even without a wallet at all (miners could record a command onto the blockchain, while common users could just input a command on their websites or even at their forum pages),
however there were some big disadvantages:
a) the idea was so uncommon that people simply didn't understand that at all,
b) archive services, even if we use several independent services for saving a single webpage with a command, like it was implemented, is not a 100% decentralised solution and some web archive services are not available in some countries.
It worked anyway though via web forms, but people didn't use it,
c) some old members (e.g. coinflow) criticised the idea, citing difficulties for common users, the whole idea of inputting Linux-like commands, and potential bloating of the blockchain (obviously in case of decentralised archiving), also citing that if people don't understand the uncommon crypto concept, it looks like a scam for them, and that can affect a classic coin - of course, all these arguments are valid and should be taken into account,
d) ML was assumed to be not for sale, not for exchanges, and people were absolutely not interested in using and receiving it,
e) people wanted the wallet, they wanted to see their tokens in the wallet, not just in block explorers, at websites.
The test versions of ML which were launched before - technically they worked, but they couldn't receive real usage due to disadvantages, described above.
People were not motivated to use those versions and didn't use them.
That's why it doesn't make any sense to try to promote or develop these old test versions.
ML (Smart Likes) are being redesigned and will be announced very likely in this July and in several variants (modes),
however as many things depend on barrysty1e's work, no 100% guarantee on ETA.
There will be no Linux-like commands and no web archiving any longer, it will be simplier to use,
you will not be able to use it with no wallets/clients though (like it was designed initially, please see above).
Then it probably will depend on the community: people will test it and say what they consider as the best mode, the most interesting and comfortable one - for using on a daily basis. Anyway the project can add some potential/or immediate usage to MOON, even if some old members consider it as a thing related to useless "gimmicks".
