is it possible that a coin dies?

Not this one.

How can you tell? Value keeps at a 1/2 satoshi low

I can tell because the Dev just released a brand new web wallet and is nearly done integrating Segwit from Litecoin 0.13 build
all within a weeks time.

I can tell because we were just voted onto the C-CEX exchange.

I can tell because if you look at the volume for just today, it shows an explosion of interest.

I can tell because there's a highly active and involved community of individuals I've been with on the unofficial
Discord channel for MOON that have been busting their asses to make this the best coin we can make it, while
having fun doing it.

If you *can't* tell, you need to pay more attention!

Thanks! just a newbie here, discovering Smiley

So, those of us in the Discord chat voted to start up a MOON Community Fund.

The MCF is about pooling donated or gifted MOON to help pay for things like recurring marketing, advertising, etc. directly related
to Mooncoin. I was elected Treasurer; responsible for the creation, management and accountability for the account.

For anyone wishing to donate or gift, the MCF MOON address is: 2LpMRkRjM6VQnttqB6X3L77tNZATx6Fzar
Those interested can also use this address on a blockchain explorer to audit the account at any time.

The Fund can only be used by way of a successful vote or poll by the invested Community. Meaning, only those holding MOON
may vote. The minimum amount of time a poll or vote should be up for is 24 hours to give the Community time enough to respond.

The current method of voting is by creating a poll in the #moon_polls channel on the Discord, located here: https://discord.gg/Hhbmdjd
Any poll or vote brought forth with the intention of using the MCF must be pre-approved by either the Dev team, the Discord Admins or the Treasurer.
Discussion is welcome and encouraged in the relevant Discord channels or here in the ANN. Anyone wishing to request a project, initiative or idea
to be voted on for anything MOON related can do so in those places.

Any questions, please PM me here or DM me in the Discord.

Cheers! Smiley

PS - Current MCF amount is 10,206,887 MOON.

Of course, the new difficulty readjustment algo is priority, it goes without saying.
Also mining from wallets with one click will drive more common users, not only professional miners.
And then, the last in this order - a new codebase, derived from Litecoin, which already contains Segwit,
that's why it goes without saying, too, or is it needed to be removed? Obviously not.
Never underestimate the exponential growth of adoption. If you have a chance to include this feature, with the future in mind, better just do it.

DK3 has certainly caught my attention:

mining at 2.7mh until timestamp ~ 1496480645; where a second gridseed is brought online (5.4mh).
please note the figures above are with DK3 largely untuned.

propz to metamorphin for the suggestion, once fully tweaked i think this is what we will go with  Cool
my particular interest is in the 'timeout' function, if a particular timeout has been exceeded with no new blocks found; the retargetting algorithm will actually start lowering the difficulty dynamically.

Even if a coin doesn't need Segwit currently,
impementing of that feature indicates that a coin is going to stay over long term,
that there is the future in mind. It's really better to implement Segwit before a coin gets a wide adoption.
That's why LTC implemented it, it was not about marketing only.

It was marketing, because LTC has much more capacity in its blockchain than BTC and did and will not need it for a long time to solve the problems BTC has now. For MOON SegWit is even more unnecessary, because MOON can carry even more transactions, because of its even faster block-times. That's why the the most urgent thing is the diff-retargeting. And we should all be glad, that Barry set it on top of the list now finally. Implementing SegWit and not solving the problem with the stuck blockchain for such a long time first, is - to make a long story short - a joke!

Hey so the animated explainer video is still on the table. We are waiting on further announcements from dev team n but it couldnt hurt to start organizing. I have an animator on board and possible voice over. Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated.

What more do you need?

Anyone interested of setting up a telegram channel for Mooncoin(MOON)?
Also push the exchanges to offer the coin, and mention that this coin has Segwit + eventual implementation of LN network (Especially the Chinese,Japanese and the Korean exchanges that are now transitioning from physical payments to digital payments)?

Dude what do you mean you have no one to talk to?? We have an entire discord dedicated to fellow moonmen!

Thank you for that! I'm not kidding you, I didn't even know what a bitcoin actually was a month ago, let alone a satoshi or a subreddit or a ..... discord. Im learning as fast as I can, see you there :-)

Hi VegasMoon,

you're very welcome here.
And if you'd like to purchase Mooncoin again, it is still cheap at 2 Satoshi. Maybe you're lucky and someone will sell at 1 Sat, too.

If you have any questions left, feel free to post them.

Hello this is my first post here as Im figuring out as quickly as I can how to navigate the world of crypto and get more connected. I bought quite a lot more than 100 million Mooncoins before I knew anything about altcoins, or about any new developments or plans to get listed on other exchanges etc. in fact I really didnt have anyone I could talk to about all this so Im glad to find this forum and Mooncoin on FB. Im 100% serious when I say it was because of a dream and persistent psychic flashes that I just knew I needed to be deeply involved in this so I dove in. When it broke 2 sat last week I made a video of it because I thought this might be historic, truly. I even bought more at 2 and 4 because I didnt know about pump and dumpers yet, Im in this because Im all about MOON! I see a call on here for more traders. Believe me I would not have sold 100 mil last night at 1 sat if I knew everything I just learned in this thread! I would LOVE the chance to buy those back today if someone felt an inner calling to fill the order. And for sure I continue on as a supporter, investor and positive collaborator. I look forward to the continued journey....
