You have planned to get apply to some exchanges?

Doubtful the mooncoin dev went MIA again and there doesn't seem to be much motivation behind the mooncoin community.

Go figure.  We had a good run going, and I even thought about selling my coins but didn't because I have had them so long.  Live and learn.

Also FYI, using this script with different seed parameters generates different valid addresses. As shown below, I've marked what I call the seed in red and the new burn address in bold:

$ ./burn-btc.py MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverXX
MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverXXXSkLoau
$ ./burn-btc.py MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverxx
MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxXWQdtKM

I am noting this because this would allow us to break up the 60 billion into multiple locked addresses if we saw any value in that. Like if there was a concern that someone might hit a one in a few billion chance that they generate a new wallet with a private key that could control one of the burn addresses. It might make it more secure to split this over 60 different burn addresses that all have this prefix "MCryptsyBurnLockedForever".

Hi,

So I found this script (https://gist.github.com/CoinWhisperer/6d673f1f3d13da1611cd) burn-btc.py. It takes a seed and template address to build a hash that passes the sha256 tests.

As I understand it, the script works backward from the bottom of the chart in this post (https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/32353/how-do-i-check-the-checksum-of-a-bitcoin-address) one step and then builds the last step in a way that will validate. So the private key is not known.

I ran the script with this seed:
./burn-btc.py MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxxxdmvPw

It generated this address that passes validation: MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxxuuKxx9

A coin has also been sent there, but I'm still waiting to see if it confirms. Let me know what you think.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/moon/address.dws?MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxxuuKxx9.htm

NOTE: I also changed one line in the burn-btc.py script if you are trying to replicate my results line number 68 in the script:

template = "2CryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxxxxxxxx"

Withdraw: 999.00000000 to address 2CryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxxxxxxxx; fee 1.00000000
(CANCELED)

I don't understand your post. Per my original post this is the Burn address MCryptsyBurnLockedForeverxxxuuKxx9 the other information is the seed and template information from the python script. I prefer the python script because it is more transparent than a website running who knows what code. You can see the steps in the script that create the hash and you can see the steps do not involve a private key.

You should make an airdrop with the coins. Everyone gets 1000 mooncoins and everyone talks about mooncoin for a year. Everything else will be nothing in 10 years

Sry, dont really know.    (what projects?)

  I think he did some code work and that was the last i know of.

He hosted several things for MOON such as the web wallet, MoonWord, and some other stuff like nodes and whatnot.

Dont believe barry is involved here.  so kind of a moot point.

I've noticed each of the projects he made for MOON are now unavailable and gone, how did this come about?

Been a while since I last posted on this thread but since this is reaching closer to a year later I'll go ahead and post a reminder to Barry since he can't keep true with his promises.
