Based on my opinion, corruption will never be eradicated, Corruption will always exist in any country. Human nature will emerge when they are tempted by strong temptations, and money is the most severe temptation for humans. The nature of greed and dissatisfaction will often arise when humans are faced with temptation, self-control is necessary.

I think this is the result of cops abusing power because the leader of the country doesn't want to think that they can do wrong. I think the philippine president needs to mellow down of his defense of cops because there are a lot who don't deserve it. Of course there are a lot also who are actually doing their job but there has to be a realization that there are black sheeps that needs to be rooted out as well

Cases like this shows the bad eggs from the basket. Next moved will be to axed those erring cops from their post. The Philippines should recognized that this problem does not happened on one police stations but stations around the country. There should be a nationwide investigation and those found guilty should be administratively and criminally punished. And the President should showed complete neutrality on the issue, and not to side with the police so that the guilty will not to unpunished.
And i think they should punish those people who not follow the law not only a simple punishment they should give a big punishment because they are sodiers of government or they are officials of government..
I thought that philippines will be changed because of the new president and new regulation but looks like many changes happen and we are seeing right now and reveal who are kind police or bad police..

It seems to me that corruption is the main problem of mankind, and not of individual countries. To some extent this problem exists everywhere. But it is impossible to eradicate it, because corrupt officials themselves and they do not find themselves.
No country is corruption free, but you can always eliminate the corrupted officials/law enforcement and get a much less corrupted country.

Being a Filipino, I'm ashamed that this news is now all over the place and people are probably laughing at us now. This is nothing new, we've always heard of stories like this. Arrest dealer. Extort dealer. Release dealer. Rinse. Repeat.

I would still admit that this is a new low though. I've seen the district chief on the news with his awkward smile trying to make us believe it's just a temporary holding area for some of the drug suspects they arrested because they ran out of space. Does he take us for fools? Really, hide them behind a bookshelf?

I'm expecting more worse news considering the president's stance on erring policemen. Heck police even came into a precinct, had all the other police there out and faced to the wall, and shot a drug lord because they said he fought back when they came to inspect his cell. Seriously, they insist they have a search warrant and just came by to present it. Who the heck needed a search warrant if the guy is already in jail?

There was even records that these guys first called forensics before doing this. Who the heck does that? It would have been a secret what happened there if the media Duterte despise haven't caught wind of the operation and rushed there in time to see all policemen outside, on the ground, facing a wall, disarmed.

And what did Duterte said? He's not going to allow those cops to go to jail.

Like I have been saying Deterte isn't solving anything he's only making things worse for his people.

He needs to tackle poverty and joblessness not go around killing sick people. What a psycho. This guy makes Trump look like Mother Teresa.

This is an example of the fact that no cause can justify the violation of the law. Duterte now will use illegal tactics against the opposition, and the reward for loyalty is to allow the police to break the law and Rob people.

Its the cops again. I guess that statement power corrupts is true.

Human Rights officials found a bunch of undocumented prisoners being hidden in a narrow room behind a book case. The victims claim they were being held by the cops in order to extort money from them.

The cops say they were arrested for bring part of the drug war. So why not just kill them then? What do you think? How can this problem be solved?

The people need to stand up to these criminals and remove them from power. Jail the cops for kidnapping and extortion. Send the message Duterte otherwise we're gonna think ur in on this as well.
