I was hoping to see Russel back into the Mercedes but hey, if Hamilton is okay , it's his car and he has all the right to compete this weekend as we really can wish for a guy to be sick...it's not human in my opinion.
It's sad to see Grojean parting ways with Haas in such way but at least we're happy that he's still okay and as far as I know he has contract from indy car for next season and I think we gonna take it.
Grosjean recently said that before making a decision for next year, he needs to figure out if he can still drive a race car without the fear of taking his foot off the accelerator. Mercedes has given him a "gift", he will be able to take a private test with their car to find out if he is still capable of racing. after such an accident it will not be easy to think of racing in Indy
All the same, a real race and a private test, even from such a powerful team as Mercedes, is not a real fight with the drivers. I generally expected that after such a terrible accident, Grosjean would take a break for at least a year in the family circle and recharge his batteries, especially given his statements about the family. Hamilton's return was expected, so that there was no doubt who the number one driver in the team is, but it seems that clouds are beginning to gather over Bottas despite the signed one-year contract.

still negative news at Ferrari, which at the moment has not yet caused a sensation.
Louis Cammilleri, the CEO of Ferrari, who had taken over from Sergio Marchionne, has resigned and now Ferrari has to tackle this difficult problem as well. At the moment, John Elkann has taken his place, waiting to find someone

That is politic I don't thin it has anything to do with the Ferrari team.

The CEO now is Elkann and he is also the president, keep in mind they can continue without any CEO and John can work in both roles.

I am not sure if Hamilton should be back this early, and he has nothing to prove neither so there was actually no reason for him to get back neither. Think about it, dude got sick and had covid, he could still face some troubles with his health (known people who had high fever AFTER their covid became negative) and he is leading the league and already won the championship like a month ago or something, and team already won way earlier, basically everything is done, there is no need.

I think the only reason why he is not standing this one down is to keep Russel out, if he rests for another race he saw that Russel was a great racer and he would have maybe won the race this time and at such early age him winning a rance might mean Hamilton could get Russel instead of Bottas and Hamilton would want to keep Bottas since he just keeps everyone behind and lets Hamilton win.

Well no more Russell ant Mercedes this year. Hamilton will race the last GP.

And yes it is official considering the Source Cheesy

I honestly do not understand how this is possible, if I remember correctly, for the regulation of formula 1 the cases of Covid, the drivers must pass 4 negative swabs.
Hamilton was positive last Friday and today he has already passed 4 negative tests, I think it is the only case of a sportsman who resumes his activity less than a week

Either that or this covid thing is somewhat of a hoax.  I mean it's real but I think all the stories from the news of how you could die from it is waaay overblown.  There's like over 10 UFC fighters that got covid but then fight a couple of weeks later like nothing happened.  Weird.

First Russell's car had power unit problems with a lot of smoke and few seconds later Raikkonen's got on fire.

For Russell, unfortunately it seems he is back in "real life"  Roll Eyes
So sad that we won't see him one more time with Mercedes...

Yes that's very sad he is back in the reality, and sorry that he won't win the last race with the only Chance to win in this year. But i wonder about Hamilton, last week Wolf says Hamilton is very ill and he came so fast back?

At least Hamilton is not already in 1st position but it will be in the next hour  Cheesy.
Sad to see again Russell so behind in the grid.

Ferrari is still bad in this track where the engine is important.

Perez the winner of the last GP will start at the end of the grip because he changed the engine exceeding the limit of 3/year.

This track in the past has been quiet in terms of incidents and the Safety Car has not been deployed often here. This means it will almost impossible for Perez to try and win again from the back of the grid.Beside that I also doubt that Mercedes will screw up as big as they did in the past race so they are going to win this race.

Ok too bad we won't see Russell this weekend in the Mercedes again. Lets see what he can do in the Williams. Maybe he got so much confidence that we will get some more points
Confidence is good thing, but unfortunately it's not enough to have it when you drive Williams. We all saw that he is good driver, but he didn't managed to score any points in 2 seasons in such poor car.
It's good to read that Lewis recovered from virus, but it's a bit pity that Russell won't get second chance in Mercedes.

Russell being good with Mercedes is a problem for Hamilton too.

Remember he has not renewed his contract yet and from rumors he wants around 40m/€.

Until now Mercedes was considering this option but now... Do they really want to pay 40m/year to Hamilton when they can pay 5m/€ to Russell?

Let's see how the situation evolves.

Is Merc willing to risk acquiring an untested driver if Hamilton retires?  I mean unless they didn't have any other option, I think Merc will look for somebody else.

And it's just one race guys...  We can't get overly excited.

Edit:  Oh and with the double pit stop..  I think Hamilton wouldn't go in and risk it.  That's how good and experienced he is.

Liberty also want to have Perez at Red Bull next year. The amount of visitors for th GP of Mexico is big the last years and they think it will be much less if Perez isn't driving anymore.

Well with covid I don't think we will back at normally next yar, probably in 2022 we will back at normal stuff.
We need atleast 1 year to vaccine the population.

But yes I also think the spot is already taken by Perez.

Also did you guy ear nothing about the instagram Mercedes drivers? What if we have a swap Bottas <-> Russell next year?
