I'm all for captchas but I seem to remember theymos saying he doesn't like them as somethingsomething external code somethingsomething.
I think I remember him talking about not adding them as they were a DDoS risk or something similar, though I may be thinking of something different. I'd like to hear his full stance on why there shouldn't be captchas.
Then again, it would be finding a secure captcha to use. Even ReCaptcha can be botted pretty easily nowadays. Spending a few dollars will probably get you a few thousand captcha solves.

I just nuked five pages of his accounts this morning but by the time I'd finished there were many more. Not gonna bother now as it's a losing battle and just nuke them as they post/get reported which is quite infrequent so it's not that big of a deal. I think something needs to be changed on the sign-up page though as it is obviously far to easy too create bot accounts here. Maybe better captchas or requiring email validation or something.

There are APIs for temporary emails so I don't think email verification will particuarly help. I'm all for captchas but I seem to remember theymos saying he doesn't like them as somethingsomething external code somethingsomething.

you don't have some kind of email check and if on a single email there are more then 2-3 accounts you start to lock them until the same user explain all using an email to the staff?
No. You can register any amount of accounts on the same email as far as I know. That is not against the rules. However if you do something against the rules that gets you banned, then all your accounts will be banned.

Update: My bad.

well lauda everybody can make errors once in a while... in the meanwhile i noticed that another user of the group got active and posted (already got reported because wrong section for reporting a scam, bots have a so bad ai), seems that this isn't gonna end soon or maybe is going to continue for a while (maybe 12 hours or less in my opinion)
AFAIK the bots have been running since 7+ days, and I don't think its gonna stop in a measly 12 hrs. He is probably running it on a VPS with some kind of IP changing service.
P.S: Another report made+ updated my personal message.

well until now i reported something like 3 users with the same message and i'm going to keep an eye even if i'm doing this while i'm supposed to follow an university lession. anyway i didn’t noticed that this thing is going on from over a week.....

You don't need a valid email to sign up and the same email can't be used twice for signs ups. They probably just use gibberish ones.
Confusing eh? Seems you missed on some of the updates lauda, you can't use one email for two accounts. Although you can use the gmail dot trick which is similar to using one email for several accounts.

i just reported one of his posts... i need to admit that is clearly a confused thing at the beginning and that he didn't even posted it on the right section (maybe because is a bot as i told before?)

Well bots do what they are supposed to do, as IIRC KNCminer, which the botmaker(runner) seems to be intensely hating , is on the mining section so would make sense to "warn" others through a thread on the same board.
As for email check I'm pretty sure the bot uses a custom email list and it never uses the same email twice, it may use either its own email domain(which would give it the access to unlimited email addresses) or some temporary email doain like armyspy.com , jourrapide.com and etc.
Lastly, wonder why he is creating new threads instead of posting them in the KNCminer's thread.
P.S: Just reported one thread of his. If he is a bot, I'm nearly one too.

just for curiosity... how many altaccounts of MrFudged have been nuked and how many are still at 0 posts and aren't nuked? because the fact that this guy has 5 entires pages made me think about how he xan manage those.... maybe is just a bot lile the other who posted about the ongoing death of bitcoin in the past?

anyway if i see one of his posts maybe i will report them if is spam as everyone is telling (even if i don't get which kind of useless spam is posting)
We can't really tell you how many we have nuked or how many have not been nuked. It is not 5 pages, you are a bit off. Under his last username there were 50 pages of accounts so about 1500 accounts and there were at least 2 usernames before that. The current username has 80+ pages. So in total more than 4000 accounts.

BTW I've been reporting lots of his threads , most of them get marked good , wondering if it is a hassle for you guys to go through them though. Should I reduce the number of reports I make on him, or should I report every one of his threads?
All should be marked as good as we nuke it. At the moment we have stopped nuking new accounts that have no posts. We were keeping up with him but it required at least 1 person doing this non stop. Reporting the ones that make a post is very helpful. Please keep doing this.

We are aware of him. This guy has been doing this under several usernames so far, but has recently increased his pace. He's very persistent even though his spam post is pretty pointless.
I was wonderwing when someone was going to notice this.

Just report the posts when they make them. Most of them get nuked before they have a chance to post though. Just nuked over 50+ myself.

I'm sure mods can get it right with just a single report of their posts, just include the reason you offered in the comments section of reporting, no need to make a new thread about it. They will most likely get a perma ban.

I noticed this username MrFudged posting somewhat like a spam with links then I checked the new accounts created today, there's more of them like 5 pages of those MRFudged usernames with 0 posts

here's one post
