Everyone selling big amounts of goxBTC at the moment is arbitraging. You can easily make 50% in just a few hours by doing this:

1) Deposit into Gox via OKPay - it takes a few hours to clear.
2) Buy goxBTC
3) Sell goxBTC for "real" BTC at 0.6ish while the real price is 0.4

Example: at $250/goxBTC, for $10,000 you get 40 goxBTC, you can sell them for 24 realBTC. 24 realBTC on stamp at $625 equal $15,000.

4) You can send the real bitcoins back to OKPay and get ~$15,000.
5) You now have $15,000 to buy more goxBTC with.

Rinse and repeat and it's a money printing machine, a pretty fast and incredibly profitable arbitrage.

Prices are going down because there's a lot of competition between people doing this, so the market corrects itself.

How exactly does this work?? I'm looking at my account and can't see how the transfer would work. There's this big box that says withdrawals have been paused.

Might sell for slightly less then. These very unstable fluctuations are giving me sleepless nights. $266. And that even after future withdrawals were assured? Why can't they implement account access and withdrawal services NOW?? I just don't understand this. Fixing their systems will work just as fine as when they allow customers to move their funds and coins. This is intolerably and butt-clenchingly scary.

I am looking to sell 1GoxBTC for 60%

https://bitcoinbuilder.com/

The price is going down! Why?

Because they are with every day more waiting less worth. every longer it takes till god solves the problems, price will go down.

today i was keeping myself back with buying goxBTC, because tomorrow they are probably even cheaper.

i was tracking gox BTC accounts... its interesting to see, that they get more empty every day. why? i do not know... there is no explanation for that, because officially they are not making payouts, but money is still moving (away?).

Are you saying you know which addresses belong to gox? Care to share?

If I want to sell my Gox coins to another Gox member how exactly does this work? Can someone guide me through the procedure. Here is my account:  http://imgur.com/a/MoufW
I mean how do you transfer internally when the coins go through the blockchain? Are you telling me the transfer bypasses the blockchain? Is there a procedural loophole I don't know about?
With trade values hovering in the sub-$300 I'm losing my confidence in Tokyo and will probably offload them before their exchange crashes. Looking at 60 to 70% but slightly negotiable to some extent.

It's not a loophole but a feature(and my guess is, this feature is what made it more difficult for Gox to fix the ongoing problem).
When you withdraw you coins, if you input an internal bitcoin address (i.e. address with private key held by Gox), you will be presented with options: do "Open Transaction" or not. the "Open Transaction" is unchecked by default.  if you choose to go with Open Transaction, you tx will go through the blockchain, but otherwise gox will handle it internally by just updating their DB.

And currently internal transaction is not affected as stated by Gox.

You're not gonna get those numbers. I just bought 39 goxBTC for 0.54 BTC each. Considering the volume I am fairly confident that is the real price right now.

The thing that scares me is that not all of the goxBTC are real - i.e., a shitload of imaginary goxBTC were created with tx malleability, but couldn't be withdrawn, so these imaginary goxBTC are now being offloaded for realBTC.

If GOX resumes withdrawals on thursday, people will have easily turned 100BTC into 160BTC.

Not bad.

Have you seen what Karples said today? He refuses to guarantee customer funds are safe. So they must have lost customer money and are figuring out how to keep the business going.

Traders should be prepared for a mother of a haircut. At other exchanges this has been 90-95% so buying GoxBTC at 50-60% of real BTC is risky as. It can't stay that high unless Gox improve this mess in the next 36 hours as promised.

I have decided to give up my gox account. Can't stand the pressure and stress waiting for good news anymore.

I've got 6 goxBTC for sale in return for fiat. or realBTC.

I'm loacted in Freiburg, Germany. Therefore SEPA transfer would be the quickest and easiest way, if that fits to you.

my offer:
3 goxBTC per 1000.-€ resp 333.-€ per 1 goxBTC.
   - - - or - - -
exchange rate 66,67% realBTC/goxBTC.

Any smaller amount instead of 6 goxBTC in a single transaction will be fine as well.

to establish some trust I'd suggest to switch to whatsapp/skype/facebook + eg copy of driver's licence vice versa.

Selling up to 50 GoxBTC for around 65%. PM me to discuss the rate - as prices are volatile it can change.
I can either go via escrow (if we find someone we both trust) or directly. If you have good reputation I can go first, otherwise I would require you to do so. I've traded already some several thousand BTC via this forum so I assume my reputation isn't that bad Smiley. You can see my feedback in the honest trader thread (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-honest-traders-484) or bitcoin OTC http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=sonba
Plese don't bother to offer me PayPal - for obvious scam reasons such requests will be ignored.
