That is always the problem and the fact remains that without a real life product, it would just be as useless as any other shit garbage coin in the market. It is not just about creating a coin and thinking it would just have a future because being an artist can drive fans to it, how long will it end up sustained without taking a hit eventually.
The only thing that can keep it going in the long run is real demand for the solution it creates, and no matter how it gets to be driven speculatively, it would never last.

After three months I haven't seen this Akoin token launch here in Bitcointalk I did not know either that he is into cryptocurrency, it's a good move if he is the ceo, he can promote it in his tour, but I have to see it here first before I can decide if it's worth to promote or invest here, could be another pump and dump coin in the making

I only see this having something to do with the cryptocurrency space in general and not just bitcoin but at least such a move is good for cryptocurrency publicity.

It is not a bad idea for him as long as the coin can have a product attached to it, or some sort of solution the project backing the coin would bring about and asides that, I do not see any reason why it would not just end up being another speculative shitcoin in the market. However, like I said, it is good for publicity.

I believe he only promoted not built or become investor. Project use him because have high popularity, it will raise investment and create members in high quantity. Don't see the star but see about the project ( coin ), have good concept, great developer team, realistic target, they have it or just ads?. Find the true information, think twice before join and good luck to you.

Okay,,, I do not really mind Akon, I think his music is really something to gain a taste for,,, but I wonder when this thing about musicians and artists getting involved with cryptocurrency will stop. Maybe never, until people are bored with it. No coin has become good because of an artist, in fact, already have scams because of artists so this should be a warning sign.

Intentions are good, yes,,, but you do not need crypto for everything.

I think it is nothing but earning some free money from perspective of Akon.Few celebrities were involved with cryptocurrency and crypto promotion before but it didn't work for the company.I think it is more important to create quality project rather than this celebrity shit otherwise it won't be good for crypto community.

That seems like the riskiest investment of all time that is doomed to fail.

Now that I think of it, isn't he acting a bit like the corrupt politicions he is criticizing?
Acting like he wants to help but actually he is selling Akon branded shitcoins?
Getting rich off of the masses?

Celebs, in my mind, are more dangerous to crypto than anything else.
They have so much publicity and sway in public opinion and can easily turn the tide against crypto because they don't know what they are talking about.

But, AKOIN to the moon! I guess...
