May I suggest to OP that he lock this thread now that he's gotten the right answer multiple times and keeping it open is only going to invite shitposters trying to get merits and/or increase their post count in Meta?  There was no reason for this thread to be bumped by this post:

You can create 2 accounts on 1 IP with no problem, but if you create more accounts, you may have to pay a small BTC fee to be able to post articles, it is best if there are already many more than 2 accounts / IP, but first you need to read the rules of bitcointailk carefully to learn more and how to create more accounts on 1 IP.
It adds nothing to what's already been written here.  Please, OP.  Do the forum a favor and lock threads like this when you've gotten your answer.  Thanks.

Multiple accounts are not prohibited in bitcointalk so anyone can create as much as account they want as long as they are not violating any rules, the only problem will be evil fee if the IP address used to register early got banned for violating and nobody may not understand or explain how the evil fee works but your brother account is okay to use one you registered without facing any issues.

Not really per se: Providing the IP does not have one or more unit of evil, any and all accounts created using that same IP won’t be asked to pay anything at all. When an account that uses that IP (or a neighbouring IP) gets banned, then units of evil are associated to the IP (/s).
Being so, subsequently created accounts on that IP will be asked to pay a fee that will vary depending on the number of Evil units associated to the IP. Nevertheless, providing the IP stays free of Evil units, you can keep on creating accounts on it with no issue whatsoever.

Evil units associated to IPs do decay over time, although I’m not aware of the details in terms of the subjacent algorithms used to both to assign and decay the Evil units.

It doesn't matter if you have the same isp as long as the account is using with a different user and does not abuse the account to make farming in the bounty and signature campaign welcome to the forum. AFAIK if there's an evil IP when you create an account you just need to pay before removing that restriction you want to create another alternative account you can tag that for a neutral trust and tell that's your alt account. Always follow the rules good luck with your exploring our forum.

This is wrong. The amount of accounts created per IP does no matter, it is the amount of accounts banner per IP that raises the units of evil and the amount to be paid to clear them. If the IP is not associated to any units of evil, you can own multiple accounts, but more than 2 accounts is not really necessary and looks a lot like account farming.

I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.
There was group of people with laptops around the able. Shitposting on Bitcointalk probably was their full time job. Unfortunately now I can't find this photo.

If it's the same image I'm thinking of, it was given a little earlier in this topic (click on Isaac's link) :

This post describes it pretty much in a single picture. lol. :p

Imagine being a boss and watching your subordinates shitposting on Bitcointalk instead of tending to their jobs because they probably get paid more Grin

It wasn't a real office. They were all his accounts and that was just his excuse to try explain why there was dozens of accounts using the same IP.

My younger brother also have interest in bitcointalk. Can he creat bitcointalk account in his new mobile.

N.B. In our house I also have bitcointalk account in my mobile. But we use same wifi. Is there any problem if he creat bitcointalk account in his mobile.
From me you can as well register him because i have not seen anything bad or strange to enroll people into the platform provided that they don't have bad intentions that will cause harm to another user, secondly someone has made mention of alt account is not bad, really it's not bad but the problem is that don't use it to abuse the system, as old forum user try to guide him to follow the protocols of the community to avoid violating the rules and regulations of the community.

Farewell, Leo. You will be missed!
IP is not the basis of cheater detective here because there's always an instance that a user will have same  IP when they use free VPN.
The IP could be the reason why someone's account has evil points, which could require that person to pay an evil fee before being able to use his new account. Theoretically, that can happen to his brother. But those evil points wouldn't have to stem from wrongdoings of OP (Raihan.arh). They could have been the result of someone getting banned in his IP range. Maybe his cousin from next door.

As far as I know, there won't be any problem really if he joins the forum, because many a times not only on private but there are people who join with public WiFi so technically they also all have same IP addresses etc. But I think problem might occur if he joins campaigns the same that you join, that might raise some eyebrows because very well, people have been caught using their alts to participate in campaigns to make more money. So that's prohibited. Hope you find an exact answer by someone who knows better Smiley

IP is not the basis of cheater detective here because there's always an instance that a user will have same  IP when they use free VPN. The common evidence of alt account cheating was same wallet address for different account that participate bounty campaign or sending the funds at the same time to a similar wallet address. The IP doesn't matter because it will not lead to account connection, Besides only moderators has an access to our IP and they are not gonna share this in public for user privacy.

Gotcha.

When I was a mod, there was a function to reveal duplicate accounts by IP addresses. Many fail to see that coming.

Only admins have access to that function so a lot of abuse will go unnoticed but sometimes people overstep the line which forces some accounts to be looked into.

Yes, your "brother" can have an account  Cheesy. Heck, your mother father and dog can even have one. Or even your entire office. Just don't shitpost from them.

I think we should remain simple & not discourage him and Yes, OP you can have a account for your brother and it will not be a problem for you or anyone in your home.
Lets hope he is asking in good faith and there is no other intention.  Smiley

The forum itself doesn't prevent using the same wifi even the same device. As long as you do not abuse the forum and trust system then even you can use an alt account. It's not a problem at all. Since your brother is interested in the forum, then we should welcome him. Just explain to him about the forum culture. If your brother abuses the forum system then you might in trouble.

For the record, you may leave neutral feedback on your brother's profile. Although it wouldn't help you both if you abuse the forum and trust system. We know everyone which is good and bad things. So just always try to avoid bad things either you have alts or not. If you make the excuse that we are brothers and that's why we have been using the same address then it will not valid excuse to the community. Don't make such as excuse and don't abuse the forum.
